Me, I'd bring Rowdy back. Likely, he's not the answer at first base, but it's at least better than Carlos Santana and Connor Joe.

I want Chapman back for sure. Mixed feelings on Tellez. A contender should look for better but IDK if there are better realistic options available. This should have been a 90 win team. Just imagine if Bednar, Hayes, Suwinski, Davis and Taylor had merely performed up to expectations.

Rowdy is an easy resign. If he doesn't perform, you have options. Endy could handle it, Billy Cook has played 1B, even moving Reynolds over there. Also, there are always AAAA platoon guys you can find. Like Pavin Smith in Arizona could be got for nothing, or Dominic Smith who moves every year. And hes gonna be cheap! 4 mil or less, 1 year, can use the very limited budget to get someone else.

I would love to see us aquire tyler black from the brewers a 1b-3b player who can fit and is only 25. He will be here for the next 5 years minimum.

well said john I was hoping you would name the players that would fill the holes you mentioned I also would like to here your comments on the 2024 draft and see if you can spot "something very fishy" about the end of oor selections which convices me more this management team has to go.

Just Chapman if possible. Tallez is a disappointment but if the price is right they sadly have nothing else. Really he had a hot month and that was it.

lets go get baker for 1b sitting on stl bench while we are at it lets get outman from the dodgers and lastly Jordan from stl would be a nice addition. EThan watching tonights game is another reason we need a management change could you imagine stealing all of those bases from a billy martin run team and not once thrown over to 1b? if i was a conspiracy theorist I would say this team did everything in their power to guarantee a cubs win. so said to watch this talented team not be given a fair chance to compete.

So your big idea is to go get AAAA guys and cross your fingers? Both Baker and Outman will be 28 next year, and they are hitting .167 and .148, respectively.

@@jackmarascio6665 What should they do or what is realistic? What they should do is give Juan Soto a blank check, that would be ideal. Realistically, add a left handed bat to be a corner OF (options in free agency are slim, but maybe Jesse Winker?). Moving Reynolds to 1B is something I think would benefit the team. Also adding a shortstop so IKF can be super utility/insurance for Hayes in case he doesn't rebound (plenty of shortstop options in free agency) Another thing, the lineup is pretty righty heavy, so move left center in a bit as Cutch suggested on yesterday's broadcast. Use the starter depth (Chandler, Harrington, etc) as trade bait for the corner OF/SS need as mentioned, use the ones with health issues (Ashcraft, Burrows, Oviedo, etc) as bullpen pieces. Defense would be better, lineup would be better and deeper, bullpen would be better.
