No need to rush. 2025 draft is stacked so we could get another great piece to the roster. Nuggets did not become winning team overnight. Tired of this Victor wants Spurs to rush things narrative when he NEVER said it. Stop putting word in Vic's mouth just because you all arent patient.

@kmc10314. Don't say that to the peanut gallery or certain members of the media. That's the narrative that they deal up And that's what they're gonna stick with. Everyone knew this was going to be a long hard rebuild With or without Wemby. And remember he wasn't guaranteed to us there were 2 other teams that could have gotten him last year. No I understand him completely When he says that he didn't like losing Nobody does. But he knew what he was coming into when he came here And he wants to be a part of that rebuild. Let's do it right All you have to do is look at what Oklahoma city did. And by the way the GM in Oklahoma city learned his business from RC and Pop

they just need to develop this year since we are getting 2 new rookies, and by year 3 the team is ready to pursue for higher caliber free agents while adding a rookie on a deeper draft. a record of .500 or even a 35 win season is already an improvement. This guys just want to rush things so they can talk about something on their podcasts not thinking of the future. The spurs drafts good players as long as they have their main guy. we see it on teams they built around timmy, david, and even kawhi.

Getting a better point guard now wouldn’t be a rush though it’d just help build chemistry. As of now we have 4 potential 1st round picks next years draft, we can afford to flip 1.

Maybe, but in the past you had long term and sustainable success while BEING COMPETITIVE EVERY YEAR !! You, Spurs fans, seem to have forgotten it. Tim Duncan would never have accepted being surrounded by a mediocre supporting cast. Parker and Ginobili establish themselves as legitimate starters for a contender from their rookie seasons ! Otherwise they wouldn't have beein kept in the team. So now, you seem to agree to stack tanking seasons, but THIS IS NOT this way you built your dynasty !! 5 conscutive seasons without playing the playoffs, and still staying far from qualifying, is a long long long term... even more when during this time, a generational talent of Wemby's level a landed. Why the hell isn't this team ready yet ??!

@@bastousien As a Spurs fan, you seem to have forgotten that when Timmy joined they already had Robinson. When Robinson was retiring Manu and Tony were already growing. Everything happened very naturally and nothing was rushed. You spoke of Parker and Manu establishing themselves from rookie year. Are you sure about that? Tony's rookie year was closed to Sochan while Manu's first year was close to Vassell. It wasn't until their 3rd year they started to shine. Sochan is entering the third year, and Vassell showed a great improvement. Next year will be DEFINITELY better than this year. Had Pop not done "Sochan PG experiement" Spurs would have won close to 30 games. If the process has to be rushed, it is better do it in Vic 3rd year where you have better FA class and better draft class. You certainly don't want to overpay for someone like Trae Young who is clearly liability on defense and requiring tons of assets.

@@kmc10314 true and we dont even have a main guy so the drafting process on the previous years are drafting players who can fit in any team now we have wemby , the team can focus drafting on who compliments wemby's skill set. Wemby is in mins restriction for the most part of the year and we still managed to get 22 wins. after the allstar break we can see how much this team improved and how they are developing that chemistry. some of the spurs fan base are just not patient enough and just want to rush things. want to swing on every possible free agent.

I think it’s hard for most Spurs fans to not want the process to be quicker. We had Duncan win a title couple years coming into the league and for the next 22 years SA was always in the discussion. The other thing to consider is the longevity of Victor. No one knows how long someone like him can continue at a high level, so I can see why many want it to be sooner than later.

Rushing up process will push Vic's body. You can see that Spurs were really careful with Vic's conditioning, really restricting his mins and games played. We want long term not short term.

That's your opinion. I think Victor is way more realistic than you think about what things are. Like I said in the other comment victor does not like losing that does not mean he's gonna quit on the Spurs. There's no magic wand to get rid of this problem lab rat. And there ain't a player out there that's gonna make us win 28 games or more to make playoffs. Golden state won 46 games this year and barely made the play in. I know people like you don't want to hear that kind of thing but there it is. Victor can't do that by himself he's gotta have a team around him to do it.

sas will not be able to get a lottery pick based on their own final standing anymore. Look at the last 11 games, won 7, sas will be playing for championships from now on because VWemby is too good to lose games just based on him. So no point going for a tank because its not happening (other than VW getting injured). So they better keep 2025 Atlanta pick because that is their only chance of a high lottery pick from now on...

Castle can't shoot (26.7% at 3P).... Holland can't shoot (24% at 3P)... Topic also... can't shoot (26% at 3P)... Usually bad shooter will be worst at NBA lvl (better D, bigger distance...) Why don't you want shooter? are you stuck in another NBA era when 3P was a rare thing?

I think the spurs should trade the 4,8, the hawks 25 1st, along with whatever agreed players (not Devin, wemby or sochan) to go for Trae young. We need a pg badly and have 3 other 1st next year in a deep draft while keeping the hawks 26 swap and 27 1st

why would atlanta accept that trade request though? the only chance we got trae is if we include vassel on that deal and give all of their picks back.
