Zirconia abutments may be best for aesthetics, but there are concerns about the longevity of the material. There are certain benefits of biocompatibility and less bacterial colonisation as well as aesthetics.
In this video, I go over the benefits, look at Zirconia v Titaniuim, analyse some examples of both materials over the years and I also walk you through different situations in which a metal or zirconia abutment might be a better option.
