Maybe, maybe not. I doubt they would get rid of it since I'd argue BW's post game is crucial to the story in a few ways, save for catching Kyurem as Kyurem is a big central part of B2W2.

@@ThisIsCSDX I grew up with pokemon it is my favorite franchise but even I know it had gone down hill and it makes me sad, I try to keep a open mind but sadly I dont have much hope they wont mess it up. But I do really think there is a lot of potential for this remake.

@GrayBeans Same aside from the feeling of it going downhill. Though, at the same time, even I had to acknowledge that SV were so poorly optimized.

@@ThisIsCSDX I mean more so in the sense of quality, I dont think the games themselves are bad but I feel saddened by the state of the games these days. Honestly I wasn't as upset about the national dex thing as some others, sure I wanted it id even accept like adding gens and such after the fact if at all since we were getting up there in pokemon numbers. I was saying this about dp remakes. Just try to accept that your worst fears will become a reality. I wanted to believe gen 4 remakes would be better. I disappointed myself. Don't do what I did.

If they chibi these games I’m fr sitting out the switch 2 and the next handful of games. There are so many good games in my backlog, romhacks, and good games coming…. Why bother with this garbage.

@@ShadyRapture I personally think the bugs, lack of Platinum content, and being too close to the originals is a LOT worse than graphics. Heck, graphics don't make any game. At all.

So, question about party wide EXP. Why do you hate it so much? It's a thing that's existed in every other RPG, and Heck, Final Fantasy VII even had this for people not in the active 3 member party, and that got heaps of praise. So, why is an easier means of leveling up so horrid? Btw, I should clarify, the more than likely reason that there's no option for it now is because more people used the EXP share in Gens 6 & 7 than didn't. Companies choose what the majority liked with a game. That's just how it is.

@@ThisIsCSDX I do not say I hate it. No offense but if critic like this is framed as hate we reach nowhere. I understand its getting old, it will stay the same, no ones opinion on this will change anything. My personal reasons for not liking Exp Share: As I stated before, DP was not balanced around forced Exp share. I would not mind if we could turn it off but we cant. It would be cool to have the option since DP are very faithful remakes which are based on games balanced around the old exp system. In every other RPG we have an exp curve that is designed around shared exp (if implemented) unless its purposefully done elseway. It is not a bad feature to save your time for grinding. But even in Scarlet/Violet you become overleveled fast if you do too much sidestuff unless you make a team of more than 6 members to distribute exp more controlled. If it werent for the fact its forced then we could still play it like all the other games, where the bonus exp for exploring more areas would be more valueable due to that, no one would have that issue except elitists. But with it being forced, I need to avoid the sidestuff if I dont want to get overleveled. That is a serious issue from a design perspective imo. I must also flee all wild encounters etc because they all get now double to 6 times the exp. And defeating a few encounters on the way is not equal to grinding, yet it becomes even more rewarding. It makes the game faster, yes. But that is not always better. Pro is, it is easier to get a team of 6 to a level to defeat the bosses of the game. But even underleveled it was just as easy to win against them including the elite 4. Especially if we countvin things such as TMs, attacks/items that boost stats, healing items etc. If the Level Up way becomes too viable there is no reason to get into the other stuff. And while even the original games didn't do as much to stop you from soloing the game with 1 Pokémon it ends up as much easier to train multiple team members, etc. Idk if that is a valid point since, just like many others, you immediately see it as hate. Again - I dislike the share being forced. And I would criticice this for every other series that builds a game around the old system with forced exp shares. Pokemon is an RPG yes, therefore we can compare it to other rpgs. Both in good and the bad. In terms of how the mechanics work is individually set for every single game. And if a game fails to do that in one or more aspects I can criticize it for that. Also, there are many people who loved battle facility stuff, rematches, etc. I would say around 50% of the fanbase want those back. Yet, Gamefreak did not always bring those back even during DP, during BW1, or during the 3DS era. They've always held things back to add them in a later version or now as DLC. And how about the Competetive Format? I would argue way less people play CP than those who only play it casually. Yet they also have a huge focus on that aspect as well. I understand if you are tired to hear the same criticism over and over again but from the way you wrote the comment it seems as if you want to simple counter all my points instead of wanting to hear my explaination. You reduce the issue within the point to "Why is this very good thing so bad that you all complain because it has zero negativity?" and then clarify the reason why it is the way it is. Ultimately ending with an arguement why my criticism will never be heared from gamefreak. And it also seems completely irrelevant that there is no option to turn it off. Like I dont know now if my explaination will be seen as just another Pokemon hater or acknowledged as valid. I apologize if anything I said comes of as rude. I dont want to argue. Looking back at my comment it was indeed written very negatively. And in a community that already is flooded with toxic people I should've known better that this will be met with the same energy. I have been very toxic for a while during the SWSH Release and made a break from Pokémon games until ScarVio because of that. Thing is, even if the games are bad imo they are still fun. Despite all the bad things I encountered in SV I had fun. BDSP will still be fun to prolly everyone who played it. But it is not just nostalgia that makes the older games better (including all the 3Ds games, to make this clear - they are miles above the Switch games) and too often people are reduced on that and not being taken seriously. Like, even that model thing: Every game reuses old 3D models and improves on them. Persona, Dragon Quest, Xenoblade... All those do the same thing as Pokémon. Yet they actually improve on many more things while the Pokémon Devs used it as an excuse and even after 5 games are still behind in almost every aspect of modern games. That is the reason this arguement is still there and it is another arguement that is completely unvalid now due to its overuse from people who just repeat and dont understand full context. In the end I feel no matter what, everything has been said so often by now that there is no point of doing comments like mine anymore. The series will just go on anyway and content will be produced about the next games being good or bad. Its just not fun to discuss anymore. Anyway. I wanna end this on a moee or less positive note. Your video quality is as good as youtubers with way more subs. Continue like this and you will grow even more.

That is honestly true. As I said, Platinum fixed so much of the problems DP had that I'd argue it was only revisited back in the day for National Dex completion.

If you can I'd strongly reccomend playing the original Gen 5 games instead!

Just wanted to remind everyone that BDSP was from a team known as ILCA, who helped make Pokémon Home, and surprisingly, One Piece Odyssey.

Honestly, I think calling BW the original HD-2D game makes a lot of sense. Though, I do disagree about the visuals. I liked the return to the top-down style and enjoyed the chibi visuals. I also don't really mind graphics and don't think they matter much, tho.

Like I said in the video, I don't really think BDSP are bad games, per say.

I'm just nervous because Pokemon Black was and is my favorite game of all time. I just really hope they give us a good game. Unova deserves the love.

ORAS is my favorite Pokémon game of all time. I have stated this in the video and even did a video on ORAS last year heaping nothing but praise for it. Hell, I'd argue my only criticism about it was that I wanted more out of what I already got.
