I always found it odd that American Christians have been so quick to accept holidays like Halloween, Christmas, Easter, which aren’t necessarily in The Bible yet when asked about The Holy Days of The Lord they say we don’t need to keep them… It’s not about needing to keep them, why aren’t you willing to but so open to others even pagan holidays? (Talking about Halloween not Christmas). I am more recently discovering the Feast days and they have been such a blessing as I celebrate with Messianic Jews!

Hello, I’m a Christian person. Who don’t celebrate Halloween because I know what is hollower is all about, I celebrate Christmas with my family; although I know is not when Jesus was born, I celebrated as a family to be unify. Also as a Christian I know is Good to know the Messianic festivities, but also Jesus Christ never said that we have to celebrate them, as I said before is good to know them to identify us with our Jewish brothers.

@@kiwiburciaga Of course it’s not required but it is a blessing. I just was pointing out how odd it is that there is resistance to the holidays of God but willingness for the holidays of this world. You can keep it but if you treat others that don't as if they are disobeying God then that would be in error Romans 14 14 Accept the one whose faith is weak, without quarreling over disputable matters. 2 One person’s faith allows them to eat anything, but another, whose faith is weak, eats only vegetables. 3 The one who eats everything must not treat with contempt the one who does not, and the one who does not eat everything must not judge the one who does, for God has accepted them. 4 Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? To their own master, servants stand or fall. And they will stand, for the Lord is able to make them stand. 5 One person considers one day more sacred than another; another considers every day alike. Each of them should be fully convinced in their own mind. 6 Whoever regards one day as special does so to the Lord.

Looks like you have been Judaized and brought back under the "beggerly elements". Galatians 4:9 "But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?" Who bewitched you? (Galatians 3:1-9). All scriptures is for our learning, but the Body of Christ is not Israel, we are a mystery hid in God made of Jew and Gentile alike during Israel's fall (Romans 11, Ephesians 3). Paul says don't let anyone judge you concerning these things. They have no significance for the Body of Christ, the feasts of Israel are prophecies concerning the nation of Israel, and have nothing to do with us today. Once the fullness of the Gentiles comes in to Paul's ministry (Romans 11:25), then God will return to saving Israel as it is written (Romans 11:26), then the feasts of Israel will be fulfilled (the last 3, Trumpets, Atonement, Tabernacles). The Body of Christ is not Israel, has nothing to do with Israel's feasts, covenants, laws, or anything to do with that nations national destiny as a nation of priests.

Yes we are to obey Gods laws! However if Jesus fulfilled the feast, may I ask why would we keep them now? I believe perhaps the Jews are to keep the Passover, Shavuot (Pentecost) and Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles as a reminder of how God delivered them out of Egypt and kept them 40 years but why would a Gentile Christian keep the feast?
@VFXShawn
@VFXShawn 6 месяцев назад
@@sisterbecky411 The Body of Christ has no reason to keep the feasts, but we should study them, so we can explain how Jesus fulfills them and what they mean. All the feasts are about prophetic events concerning Jesus and Israel. We should be able to explain to Jews that Jesus is their Messiah, and show how Jesus is the meaning behind those feasts. We can also learn about how Christ will deal with Israel in the future based on the final 3 feasts (Trumpets, Atonement, Tabernacles).

Contrary to what most ppl believe, Paul was telling the Colossians not to allow ppl outside the Church of God to judge them for how they were observing God's festivals. The fact that observing those festivals were all a Christian obligation was not the issue, which is why Paul used the phrase "are shadows of things to come" instead of "were shadows that were fulfilled by Christ". All of the commanded festivals have prophetic implications.

Zechariah 14:16-17 And it shall come to pass that everyone who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, Lord of host, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. And it shall be that whichever of the families of the earth do not come up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, on them there will be no rain. ///So here we see the feast given to Israel now being required of everyone Jewish and gentile. #7 The Beginning of Barley Harvest By Elder Tim McCool Every word in the Bible is important and inspired by the Holy Spirit. There are no wasted words by the Lord. It is significant that the Lord tells us Ruth and Naomi arrived back in Bethlehem in the beginning of barley harvest. In this message, I look at why this was so important for them, and for us to understand even today. Ruth 1:19-22, “So they two went until they came to Bethlehem. And it came to pass, when they were come to Bethlehem, that all the city was moved about them, and they said, Is this Naomi? And she said unto them, Call me not Naomi, call me Mara: for the Almighty hath dealt very bitterly with me. I went out full, and the LORD hath brought me home again empty: why then call ye me Naomi, seeing the LORD hath testified against me, and the Almighty hath afflicted me? So Naomi returned, and Ruth the Moabitess, her daughter in law, with her, which returned out of the country of Moab: and they came to Bethlehem in the beginning of barley harvest.” *The return of a childless widow to a place she left ten years earlier as a happy wife and mother. Naomi was blaming God for her tribulations but God is not at fault as He is bringing her back home. Ruth was righteously helping Naomi in this tribulation. The time of the barley harvest is literally the time of the Passover. They make bread out of barley. *It is better to starve and die in God’s place (Bethlehem which means “the house of bread”), than it is to live and thrive in the places of the world. *They returned when there were three festivals about to begin. Just as the Godhead is three in one, Ruth and Naomi arrived during the feast of the Passover, the feast of the unleavened bread, and the feast of the first fruits. Passover represents God the Father, Unleavened Bread represents Christ, and First Fruits represents the Holy Spirit. The timing of our Lord is amazing as Ruth and Naomi arrived possibly on the first day of these festivals and it would all lead to Pentecost 50 days later when all of the harvest is gathered up and stored/protected. The story of Ruth and Boaz is the story of “The Kinsman Redeemer” where the desolate were in a foreign land representing our depravity but were redeemed by acts of righteousness representing the works of Christ to bring us home to the Lord. God directed Ruth to the field Boaz was standing in and Boaz means strength. Boaz showed kindness to Ruth because he loved her mother-in law Naomi. Boaz was not pursuing Ruth as a spouse as he was not a kinsman to her. Through the grace of God Boaz and Ruth were married in Bethlehem which means “the house of bread”. When we read in Ruth 4:17-22 we see the significance of this marriage: Ruth 4:17-22, “And the women her neighbours gave it a name, saying, There is a son born to Naomi; and they called his name Obed: he is the father of Jesse, the father of David. Now these are the generations of Pharez: Pharez begat Hezron, And Hezron begat Ram, and Ram begat Amminadab, And Amminadab begat Nahshon, and Nahshon begat Salmon, And Salmon begat Boaz, and Boaz begat Obed, And Obed begat Jesse, and Jesse begat David.” David of course is King David who’s bloodline lineage would be that of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ: Revelation 5:4-5, “And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon. And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.” Connecting Verses Mentioning Barley: Exodus 9:31-32, “And the flax and the barley was smitten: for the barley was in the ear, and the flax was bolled. But the wheat and the rie were not smitten: for they were not grown up.” Ruth 2:23-“So she kept fast by the maidens of Boaz to glean unto the end of barley harvest and of wheat harvest; and dwelt with her mother in law.” 2nd Samuel 21:9-“And he delivered them into the hands of the Gibeonites, and they hanged them in the hill before the LORD: and they fell all seven together, and were put to death in the days of harvest, in the first days, in the beginning of barley harvest.”

Without question yes, we should keep the biblical feasts. Yeshua can be seen in every feast, and beyond that keeping the Holy Days keeps our hearts and eyes focused on Elohim in such a powerful way. In many instances we see a fulfillment that’s already happened, but in other places we are seeing a future fulfillment. Either way, if we keep these seasons as intended there’s no religion involved, it’s all relationship and fellowship with Elohim.

There is a rich meaning in those feasts. Christains do well learning from it. But it is a slippery slope when said we need to keep those feasts. It quickly could become a obligation to keep 'the law'. I've seen this with certain groups. Being jewish ofcourse gives a different context here. As long believers see the fulfillment in Christs work.

Observing and understanding the feasts of the Tanahk and other things are beneficial and helpful to believers but not necessary for salvation. The feasts are reasonable to our faith, and reason - although fallen - elevates our faith above doubt.

Dear @Logic807. How do you show you love Yahweh then? and rejoice to having received his grace. Obedience is the answer. Yahshua said if you love me KEEP/Do my commandments, law, statutes, ordinances, judgements. If we love Yahweh by living/obeying his ways given in the Scriptures only then we are his. His Spirit is given to only those that obey and when we choose to do as we will, we quench the Holy Spirit. Obedience is Loving God and his spirit will lead us to love our brethren. If all this is outwards signs only, then why do so many still want to keep pagan/man made traditions is that not also outwards signs plus disobedience and unholy sacrifice to Yahweh. I pray Yahweh open your mind and heart as he did mine.

Christ as manifested to the patriarchs, as symbolized in the sacrificial service, as portrayed in the law, and as revealed by the prophets, is the riches of the Old Testament. Christ in His life, His death, and His resurrection, Christ as He is manifested by the Holy Spirit, is the treasure of the New Testament. Our Saviour, the outshining of the Father's glory, is both the Old and the New. {Christ Object Lesson, p.126}

I could see it especially for a Jewish person. As gentiles we take communion which is similar. The bread represents the body of Jesus the Lamb of God sacrificed for us and the wine represents the blood of the covenant poured out for the forgiveness of sins. We do communion quite often some every service some just certain services. We didn't go through Passover and those others like the Jewish people. It's good to know and nothing wrong doing it but communion is commanded by Jesus.

Yes, 100%. It's in the Commanded by God Forever Law of Torah, it's in the prophets and in Revelation. Jesus told us to keep all of Torah the Law of God and obey the Prophets of the Bible, and Jesus describes feasts a lot and attends them all, even Hanukah that was a celebration of God's miracle and freeing the Jews from the Pagans and Paganism just before Jesus was born. ❤

The New Testament church kept all of the feasts from the Torah. This is a fact and is not hard to prove. So the idea that God does not expect us to keep the feasts is a misunderstanding of the scriptures. Paul stated clearly in 1 Corinthians 5:8 "Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth." In this instance it was the Feast of Unleavened Bread, but there are references to the other feasts and the churches keeping them, as well.

Brothers in Messiah Yahushuah. I love your ministry and praise Yah for all you do. In this one topic for the first time I will have to disagree. YHWH says, these are MY feasts forever. Therefor we do not have to be told to keep them in the NT. The pattern is already established. Furthermore, each disciple, kept the feasts post resurrection and ascension. YHWH’s feasts are a blessing to us as memorial, object lessons, foreshadow of the work of Messiah. From a spirit filled Torah observant betrothed bride of Messiah. Shalom!

So if wr are not commanded to Keep the Feasts according to Torah then what are we supposed to obey? Do we get to pick and choose which commandments we keep or we don't? Isn't sin, transgression of the law? Didn't Yeshua say. "Sin no more"? Who chooses what commandments to obey or not? Seems contradictory so I don't agree with the statement, "well you don't have to, but if you want to". I find all the commandments to be a blessing. We should WANT to do it and encouraged to IF his spirit dwells within us. Perhaps we should evaluate ourselves and see why we wouldn't want to attend the Feasts of the King. In the world to come, it won't rain on those who don't go up to worship the King on HIS feast.

You dont have him if you dont abide in him and walk as he walked! Matthew 7:21-23 English Standard Version I Never Knew You 21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ 23 And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’ . It was believers that worked miracles, that had the belief to speak to christ about what they did in his name. He says "I never knew; you depart from me, you workers of lawlessness". It clearly points to workers of lawlessness - people that do not follow the laws of God. How can you truly know and follow christ if he is the word manifest and you dont follow the word.... We are meant to be following the word made flesh and doing as he did... Meant to be following the instructions and laws of god as that is what he represented and what he did.

Thank you for sharing this information, it is a large topic, and I always find new information that helps me understand the wonderful service that Yeshua does for us. It's wonderful how all the biblical books are related to each other. They all contribute great teachings, and every time you read something, new things come to light. In the book of Hebrews, mainly in chapters 7 to 10, the relationship between the earthly Sanctuary and the heavenly one is discussed. In Exodus 25:40; Ex. 26:30; Num. 8:34 speaks of a model on which the earthly sanctuary was based, so to understand the heavenly one it is key to consider the services and festivals of the earthly one. When one studies all of these elements, and then when reading Revelation, one notices many of the elements of the Sanctuary in that book: * The lampstand--> Apoc. 1:12-20 * The inauguration of the sanctuary --> Apoc. 4:1 with the door and its relationship with the doors of the Sanctuary. 1 Kings 8:10-11, and when the Ark of the Covenant was accessible at the inauguration and on the Day of Atonement. * The Feast of Trumpets --> Rev. 8 and 9 * The Day of Atonement --> Apoc. 11:19, 15:5 a day a year when the priest had access to the Ark of the Covenant. And then when the priest's intercession ends in Rev. 15:8 * The millennium Apoc. 20, when the saints will be outside the earth, the equivalent of the festival of the cabins when they left their homes and lived in cabins. And the punishment of Azazel in the desert, the desolate land for 1000 years and its relationship with the destruction of Satan and the followers of him. The explanation made of the relationships of the Earthly Sanctuary and the service that Yeshua does in the Celestial Sanctuary is very interesting, in the books Christ in His Sanctuary, The History of Redemption and Great Controversy Chap. 24 and 29

It's amazing to come to understand that the feasts are packed with meaning and are prophetic to God's future plans. However, I need my conviction of keeping the feast to be more bullet proof. Can you consider doing a video on Colossians? Where the apostle Paul seems to suggest, at least in one view of interpretation, for believers to not fall back to the elements of the world, which, in the said view, are tied to the feasts, new moon, Sabbath keeping, etc. But in reading through that scripture it seems that he is supporting the keeping of those things without judgment. God bless

I was adopted by Christian parents. We studied the Bible along with Feasts. We didn't do the Feasts but we studied them and knew what they meant. Today many complete the Seder. My study in them was that God did not want them to forget. The Lord taking them out of slavery. Even in Old Testament where they followed the Feast they still would wander from the Word of God. Leading them into another captivity in Babylon. Finishing with the dispersing them throughout the globe. Taking God for granted. God did not want them to forget. The Sabbath is another issue. Jewish Sabbath on Saturday and here it is on Sunday. My friend would tell me, God made the Sabbath on Saturday. According to scripture and our calendar, he rose on Sunday. Bringing the two into disagreements. My response is God made Sabbath for man. A day of rest. Calendars between Jewish and the World don't match. We have honored the Sabbath on Sunday to worship God. Differences between us. We are not to forget God in ALL things. ❤
