And IT IS THIS VERY POINT where Guts is getting a toll of his senses too, his loosening grip on the dragon slayer was huge. It's as if we readers are Guts , all of our senses will see less and less detail as we reach the bleak end.
I think people just need to realize that the person who is continuing the manga is his best friend, someone who he has been close with for a very long time, they’ve talked in depth about berserk to it’s end, miuras friend said that he will focus only on the chapters that they spoke of, which are the major ones that we fans want to see for guts, I’m happy to see more of berserk
Me too. I am just happy that Berserk is getting a continuation and an ending as well. It was either Koji Mori continuing the story or not getting anything at all. And as you said, Koji Mori is his best friend and the most capable of continuing Kentaro Miura´s legacy. I believe we are in good hands, and the team has shown a lot of effort and passion.
The only issue i've had with the chapters since Miura passed away is that it feels obvious that things are missing from them like exposition. Which is the problem with Koji Mori only doing what he remembers and not wanting to fill in the blanks imo. Like why did the Astral creatures on Elfhelm disappear to the astral world when the spirit tree get destroyed when the worlds have been merged to some extent, and why did it effect the Merrow since they werent from Elfhelm but it didnt effect Puck and Ivalera? Like theres even a page with Danann and shown when they disappear to the astral world and it just felt like a page of dialog was missing imo.
@@exiaR2x78 Yes. It does feel like that, and Koji Mori has stated that he will only adapt exactly what Kentaro Miura told him and left behind, meaning they will not add or fill in the blanks. That is also why the chapters have felt very fast paced, with less explanation and dialogue. It is good that they are sticking with the original ideas, but this choice also has its own drawbacks.
I agree, this is as good as a outcome we long time readers could hope for after the mangaka Kentaro Miura passing. Also, ppl need to realize that Berserk is probably not going to get a happy ending. This is not your typical manga with all your powers of friendship bla bla bla. Guts will probably have a swear and sour ending at best. Guts and Griffin can both be protagonists and or antagonist. I am just happy the story is still active. There is alot to learn about life it self from this manga.
Yeah. And I am happy Kentaro Miura has acknowledged the support from outside of Japan for his work in previous interviews. I am glad he knew that his story is internationally praised.
What could Berserk have been? We will never know. Is there any use in thinking about what we will never see, never witness? I think we should be grateful for everything we get from studio gaga. Just as Koji Mori and his team will continue with this incredible story, we will continue with our lives and create our own adventures and storys. Rest in peace Miura, and fellow strugglers, keep pushing forward and never give up,it will be worth it.
Regardless of what people think, I am happy Berserk is back. I see these chapters being done by Kouji Mori and Studio Gaga as more of a tribute to Miura's memory if anything.

Koji Mori really gave us hope and, in a way, lightened the community. We are once again hyped for new chapters and discussing with each other its future.

Koji Mori is literally continuing the manga for the memory of Kentaro Miura and for the fans and was his best friend, and in my book still is based on the work he is putting in to do better with art and story. I just don't get it, if people don't want to read Berserk for whatever reason just don't read it. There's no reason for people to talk shit or say what Berserk should be when it is what it is, especially when I highly doubt anyone knows what Miura would've wanted for his story more than his best friend would know. It's sad that there will always be people to shit on anything they can no matter who you try to please, just be grateful we are still getting Berserk and as we know now, an ending. And more importantly than that, Miura's best friend loved him so much as to spend his time working on something he feels would honor his memory. That's what really matters now.

I recently discovered berserk and it’s become my favourite thing. I have faith in the team and although it won’t be what would have been, it’s what Muira would want his work to have an ending. I have faith, I think they will surprise us because they not only love the manga as we do, they knew and loved Muira. They won’t fail.
I dont expect Berserk to have a happy ending. Miura was dealing with deep and dark things. I think it will be bittersweet at best, but i dont believe Guts will ever be able to go on his merry way after all this mental turmoil
Yeah. In the end, the author is the one who decides what the ending is. We could think of the most reasonable outcome or the most satisfying one, but Kentaro Miura being the one who created the story, could have completely different ideas for it. I hope they release the notes and drafts that were not used for the continuation so we can get a glimpse at how Kentaro Miura´s creative process was. Maybe he even had different endings in mind before deciding.

Even though his back pain could have been a sign that he should consult a doctor, he has had back pain for a long time as many mangakas. He probably did not think too much of it. Koji Mori even stated that his passing was unforeseen, meaning that Kentaro Miura did not report any chronic conditions or illness. It was unexpected.
Miura gave a out line of how things were going to go in a interview. He implied that it will end happily tho the thing that will likely piss people off is that he implied that Guts and Casca are going to forgive Griffith. Lot of people really cling to the revenge element of the story when Miura was clearly focused more on the existentialism elements.

Totally agree. I guess every community has this problem. Throughout RU-vid, I constantly see videos "rewriting" mangas or criticizing one in a non-constructive way or even toxic at times. It is indeed easy to attack or disparage works without considering the effort, work ethic, genius, and imagination it takes to write one. It is no easy task at all. I am all for constructive-criticism, but many people just have a superiority complex where they diminish a mangaka´s work by thinking they are better.

I would actually do not want him to die. Even death is a light sentence for what he committed. Unless we count the idea of being in "Hell". Perhaps Griffith will even be happy if Guts kills him since he has already achieved his goal of ruling his own kingdom. People even look at him as a savior and a God. Griffith, even when getting killed, does not change Guts´ situation. And perhaps it is worse since Guts will be looked at as the "bad guy" by others since he is slaying their "Falcon of Light". Moreover, for Guts to kill Griffith, it would take immense strength and effort that would probably result in a mutual death. Which, in my peronsal view, is unjust and unfair. Guts does not deserve to give up his life to kill Griffith. But I guess Guts always has it tough. Causality is always against him.

It's kinda poetic. Just like Griffith brought back fallen soldiers to say goodbye....Mori in a sense, is briefly bringing back Miura to give us a proper farewell as well. I'm grateful.

That is the beauty of Berserk. We will never truly see how it was supposed to be, as others will have to carry on the legacy of this story. But even though we will not see it as Miura wanted us to exactly. We will still have everything else he gave us up to 364. We are all struggling in this world and we will see it to the end, along with Guts.

Indeed, I'm genuinely worried at how the pace of the post-Miura chapters is too fast. For starters, if Miura was still alive, I'd heavily doubt Elf Island would be cast aside that fast without giving the characters proper development and Gut's party with proper upgrades judging by how long the boat arc is and him focusing on Griffith's devlopment of his kingdom. It's a 50/50 chance though if these chapters end up good or bad.
Yeah. There is an evident increase in pacing with omissions of side characters and secondary events. But that is what Koji Mori intended from the beginning. Only adapt what Kentaro Miura left behind. I personally see the new chapters as improved storyboards. We should exepct the rest of the continuation to resemble a summary of main events unlike when Kentaro Miura was writing it.

Side Note: -5:19 I guess we will never know what Kentaro Miura would have delivered. In a way, it is a fitting fate for Berserk as sad as it is. -Let´s appreciate the exact 11 minute mark. But, of course, nothing comes close to Kentaro Miura´s perfection.
Kentaro Miura would not have told him the story if he were not up for the task. If there is someone who could have continued Berserk, it was definitely Koji Mori.
I think the recent chapters more than anything showcase why Berserk needs that grade A, quality adaptation that it's always deserved. Allow all of the main events and big plot points to be revealed in the manga, and then flesh them out and expand upon them in the anime adaptation.
That´s a great idea. This way, the original source, being the manga, is left exactly as Kentaro Miura´s work and how he intended it to be, whereas the anime adaptation could flesh out or fill in the spaces between major events.
The art itself isn't really that bad, Yes his best friend doesn't have the perfect talent to match his. Which is completely obvious from any human being. So it's best to not complain about the iconic reaction of guts going berserk. I peacefully wanna see the official ending that he was instructed to put out. I'm sure kentaro Miura already made his perfect conclusion of what the ending is for berserk, No second thoughts whatsoever. And just think about it for a second, for someone knowingly passing away. It takes a lot of pressure to leave out the final message. And that's what we're gonna see in berserk. The art argument is asinine and completely unnecessary. Lets not be way too perfectionist about it. Especially if we imagine ourselves in the same shoes as his best friend. No one, and I mean no one. Can match his talent. Not even the Internet. That is an objective truth that can never change, And so on.

Actually Lupid I heard that Years ago Miura said that berserk manga won't have an pessimistic ending. I think berserk manga might have an bittersweet ending.
It’s going to end w/ Guts sacrificing Casca to activate his behelit- the despair, rage, hatred, and will power will enable Guts to break free of fate/causality. >Big Sword, Slab Of Metal will penetrate the heart shaped entity called IoE >Guts dies in order to bring Casca back, in the similar fashion Griffith did with the souls of the fallen.
The final climax is going to likely be Guts' final battle to save Casca. As it has always been. I wouldn't have it any other way. That's what the story is about.
This way of thinking is unproductive, petty and honestly, stupid. We need to cherish Miura's work and be happy that it has so many fans and good people working on It. There's no thing as "what If". Wishing to live in a foolish delusion goes exactly against the message of Berserk.

It might not be exactly what Kentaro would have made but the person who is finishing the series was his partner and close friend who obviously cared for him and their work. He is completing it for Kentaro and their fans. It's not some company pushing out a finale as a cash grab/to keep the rights so I'm optimistic.
I've always thought that if guts by chance did you use one of the eggs, he would become the personification of death. Nothing would live in his vicinity, I've always kind of seen the skull Knight and that similar light to so maybe he might become something similar to skullknight but just more badass
There are definitely some hinted parallels between the two throughout the story. But as Flora and Skull Knight´s conversation showed, perhaps Guts and Shierke will not follow in the same footsteps as them. Who knows?
Something of a positive side effect of Berserks long running status is that its community are patiant and grateful for the story and its quality. I think its a sign of an incredibly mature community when they come together to acknowledge the fact that we may never see Miuras living vision of Berserks conclusion but that the conclusion we get may not necessarily be in contradiction with Miuras, that hell. It may not even be a poor one at that. But that we will always have that lingering question. What could Berserk's original conclusion have been?

The way I see it, I have hope for the Berserk team to finish Miura’s work. He must’ve left notes only to the employees/friends closest to him, those he trusts won’t spoil the story. Specifying what story it’ll be is just ruining the ending. Despite no more of Miura’s artwork in the manga, I don’t mind the new artstyle of the manga. I’m sort of thinking the team is on their way to release a larger chapter than the short ones we’ve been getting lately
If the next chapter(372) happens to be the introduction to the new Arc/Chapter Section, it would make sense to extend the page count. In my view, it is no coincidence that they took a break exactly now.

Exactly. That is what makes Berserk unique and special. There are so many ways to interpret characters and events. There is no true answer to anything. And it will be no different for the ending. Some might like it, some might not, and some might find different meanings behind it... At the end of the day, everyone knows that Berserk is a masterpiece despite having perspectives on its story and different views on its meaning.
To be honest, I think the fact that Miura passed away and other people took it up to continue it until its end may actually protect Berserk's legendary status as a manga if the finale were to be highly controversial among fans. Because even if that's the case, everyone will just be able to say "OG Berserk stops on chapter 364, everything else is a continuation by other authors", which is correct since, as much as we're all grateful for Kōji Mori and Studio Gaga's efforts, we all know can't replace Miura entirely and that's exactly how it should be. To be honest, I'd have even preferred for the original serialisation to be over and a new one to be announced with something to distinguish them, like "Berserk: The final part" or "Berserk: Miura's legacy", etc.

I personally want a happy ending, but if implemented correctly, I believe that even a sad conclusion would work, as Berserk´s theme revolves around sadness. I guess the most interesting aspect is how will Griffith/Guts´ relationship end? A fight? A conversation? Or maybe, as you said, both end up dying. Interesting indeed.
@Beyond Thinking We've just reached a few points of no return, but I could be blindsided by the entire outcome. Miura threw some curveballs in the story already, so even if I can't see any other outcome, I would love to. My best guess is something like the end of Devilman where death is an inevitable outcome for either one or both because of their conviction as well as their undying rivalry. Guts and Griffith are direct threats to one another to their desires and goals, and such unwavering personalities clashing can only end in bloodshed, even if that means Guts has to trade his own humanity to protect the lives of everyone he cares about. (Not to mention he had to grow accustomed to helping Casca without even being able to be present with her.)

People wanting a happy ending where everyone is okay and its a nice look into the sunset are dreaming, i don't think it's gonna be death for everyone but its gonna be bittersweet just from how this has gone on so far, I think there are gonna be some horrible that will happen and i don't know how guts will come out in one piece and i have bad feelings about the fate of the group with Guts now, i could be wrong and i hope i am but i am definitely sure there are some very sad and gut wrenching things to come.
I don’t think it would be very thematically fitting if Guts or Casca dies. If you made a scale from happy and bubbly to sad and devastating, I think Berserk should be towards the middle and a little closer to happy. Some stories just need a specific tone to end it and I think that one suits Berserk the best. Fullmetal Alchemist needed a mostly happy ending, Death Note needed a somewhat depressing ending, Cowboy Bebop needed a bitter sweet ending. Those are all regarded as some of the greatest endings in anime because they nailed exactly what the narrative required from them.

While I can understand the complaints about the art, which Studio Gaga will improve on, I don't get the gripes of the narrative. It seems to me that Koji Mori and Studio are doing well with the narrative; its pacing is handled well, and the characters are approached with grace.
It is definitely the minority, but as I stated at the beginning of the video, these comments have grown more and more over the releases, so there must be a reason for it. But as far as I have figured out, it is mostly a reaction to the sadness of the story rather than it being poorly written or boring. I guess after such a long journey for Berserk´s manga and, in addition, the tragic passing of the beloved author, Kentaro Miura, fans just want a conclusion rather than witnessing despair in the story. And as I explained at 8:32, if Berserk has taught us anything is to cherish what we have, struggle and move forward in life.

Lmao the Fantasia Arc has been mostly sunshines and rainbows, showing the growth of the characters and giving some good, well deserved peaceful moments alongside some of lore bits and long waited character development to most of the cast. Said that, if just the few past chapters made people to "OHHH NOOOOO berk got all depressing again" jeez man, the man himself carries the monicker "struggler" for a reason. He will struggle AND will succeed. Its gonna be the last arc, the stakes gotta be higher. Anyways, I have a lot of faith on Mori and some comments to me soind downright disrespectful. We live in the best timeline possible, having not only Berserk continuing, which mind you not a lot of mangas continue after creators passing, but with somebody who cares and was entrusted to, his best friend. Not only that, we get a lot more chapters now and in good quality too. Yeah, Miura will be forever missed buuuut I think he would be proud rn what his friend is doing, those are biiig shoes to fit. Regarding the point of Fantasia Arc being mostly "happy", I intended to also talk about that in more detail but opted it out at the end due to the purpose and length of the video. Maybe I will make a separate video from it, but the main idea was the community's hypocrisy. Ever since the "boat trip" began, up to the arrival to Elfhelm, people have been judging the story and asking for more fights, drama, etc. With the reasoning of the story being "uninteresting/boring/slow". But once the new chapters bring action, conflict, and chaos, people complain that the story is depressing, backtracking, and what not. It seems hypocritical and illogical to be so double-sided and never being satisfied with anything. I am all for constructive criticism, but many, as you pointed out, are being utterly disrespectful and rude in the community. Even in this video, there are multiple comments like that. Attacking others´ opinions, Koji Mori, studio Gaga, and even some towards Kentaro Miura himself. It seems unbelievable. I appreciate you posting your opinion/perspective, and I am glad you enjoyed the video. I think guts will have an Arthur Morgan kind of an ending. The one where he passes away while looking off into the sunset, knowing that he can rest peacefully.
The final arc must be full of clarifications, new characters, and the fate of the characters as a whole. It takes more pages for each chapter so that there is room for me to finish the manga properly. I hope they take care of their drawing and focus on the details well (:

If miura drew this past chapters I could swear to God we would of seen the most beautiful panels with mystical creatures all over it. We would of also seen guts either defeat zodd since there is no way guts could of ran away from zodd to mess with Griffith and even take time to think "what's going on", either guts cut off his arms like in the golden age. I'm glad they added the new chapters but every chapter I can't help but to add things my self since I feel like it's missing many things and they are mostly playing it ultra safe since they know the events but not what happenes in between them
That is what Koji Mori said he would do. That is, only adapt exactly what Kentaro Miura left as notes and told him. We could see all this continuation as a storyboard.
As someone who wanted to read Berserk but avoided it due to the loss of the talented and beloved author, I had/have hope to see a conclusion to the story, thanks to the passionate support of a good friend of his. I think people should maybe expect not the same, but a continuation of the story with an evident passion to conclude the story, or rather continue it. I have hope that it simply continues and concluded, regardless of how that ends up.
That´s true. Even during the Boat Arc, it was evident that the story was dragging as if the author did not want to rapidly move on, and with the slow chapter releases, it really brings out the question of whether or not Kentaro Miura´s perfectionism would have allowed the story to ever conclude.
@@beyondthinking5637 I think it would never reach its conclusion by Miura's hand, he was telling us a story and taking all of its time to narrate us and gave us every details and striking panels too. He'll be missed. At least, we get to know what the ending of Berserk was supposed to be, at least, how it was envisionned at that time by Miura.
If Griffith lose Falconia I would be very satisfied. Maybe Femto can't die but he will suffer for all eternity when his kingdom reaches the end and all the people who once loved and admired him leaves forever.
i just want to have a good ending, i know miura had unique writing and will never be immitated, but i just want a good ending, heck even if grifith gets a heart attack and collapse.
I guess we have all wished that for Guts ever since the very first chapter. I am curious as to how it will end. On the one hand, if it gets a happy ending, it will be one of the most desired endings in manga history. On the other hand, if it gets a sad ending, it will be one of the most heartbreaking ones.
I wouldn't be unhappy if Berserk got an unhappy, tragic ending. Berserk was never about a happy world. It's brutal and unforgiving for everyone involved and just like Guts, they're all struggling with something. Actually Robert many years ago Miura said that berserk manga won't have an pessimistic ending. So berserk manga will hopefully have a bitter sweet ending.

Agree. We could go on and think of "what could have happened?" for every situation in life, but that would just be an unending loop. It can be interesting to think about this, but once it stops you from enjoying something, it becomes a problem. In the end, we cannot change the past and do not have any capabilities of changing the present, so constantly thinking like that is harmful to the mind. As you said, this is the Berserk we get. It is evident that Berserk will never be, and that is why fans have the option to stop at chapter 364 or continue. I personally, as many others, am grateful and will definitely follow it till the end.
I have faith in the new studio to make a proper ending for the berserk and at the same time i would not mind if the ending wasn’t great. It doesn’t change the quality of the story before miura’s passing. i’ve only been a fan for a bit over a year so i suppose i’m not as attached to miura’s direct work as other fans

When thinking about it, it is very delusional indeed. After all the chapters, I think it is safe to assume that Berserk is not a joyful story. But, I guess it does not harm to have hope as long as it is not set as an expectation.

Most people don't understand the seeding/foreshadowing that has taken place but from my point of view it's rather contrived. I'll only spoil it if asked, because the end of this story and One Piece are sacred to me.
When it comes to Berserk, I've never expected a happy ending, at least not in the traditional sense. Berserk has always been more gritty as opposed to, "Happy." If there is to be a conclusive ending, I would expect it to be bitter-sweet in some way more likely than anything else. For my part at least, I don't need the ending to be happy, just conclusive. I can be satisfied with that when it comes to Berserk. The thing is, Berserk is so near and dear to my heart in so many ways and for so many reasons that even if it didn't get an ending and was just permanently halted and shelved I would no doubt be upset, but I also wouldn't feel as though I wasted a single second of following the journey thus far, which is something I can't say about any other story I've read or seen. Berserk isn't just a manga or anime or any other kind of media alone, it's an experience. Even if it ends up unfinished, I would still be grateful for that experience.
Causality also affected the manga. It's as if Griffith reached out into the real world to have his greatest victory cemented. But he did not expect Muira's friend, who shares the same brain as Muira, would be the one, who was destined to finish it.
Can we please one day get a good anime adapation for the manga? As a tribute to Kentaro? This Anime deserve soooo much more.. One of the most epic stories told as a manga. No CGI bullshit just an amazing adapation like back in 1997 with the first anime for beserk. It just deserves it. Look at all those fans also playing soulsborne games. The fanbase is insanely huge.
The Berserk fan base is indeed huge. It goes beyond just being a manga community. It spreads to gaming, cinema, writing, and more. My guess is that Berserk is seen as a risky project to take on for an anime adaptation. Aside from the gore and "controversial" themes and scenes, the manga has top-quality art, which would be hard to resemble in an anime. Berserk, unlike many other mangas, cannot be adapted using the current "generic anime" art style. It is more realistic, which means more work and money are reqruired. Additionally, since the source material is exceptional, fans would probably not be satisfied with the adaptation by comparing the unattainable panels from Kentaro Miura. But, if one thing is true is that if a proper amount of budget and workforce is provided, it would generate a lot of money due to the demand for one and the huge fanbase. It is just a matter of who will take the financial risk.
the notion that "even if it was a 10/10 you'd still wonder about kentaros original" is an understandably foolish position and people are just setting themselves up to be disappointed regardless if the result of Koji's work is good or bad. No amount of Kojis talent and dedication could never compare to the perfect genius fantsy kentaro miura in their heads. Koji Mori is Miuras lifelong friend who he would consult with when writing berserk, if Miura didnt think the notes hes left behind were enough and Koji's ability insufficient , someone as detail oriented and proud as Miura wouldn't have left the task to Koji (especially when it ended at a decent spot), and if anyone knows Berserk inside out, its Koji. Good quote by the way. Totally agree. I think people need to understand that Berserk will never be as when Kentaro Miura was creating it. But, Koji Mori is often overseen. Out of all the people who could have continued Berserk, he is the one. He and Miura were the closest friends, and it is safe to say that Berserk is in new hands. Also, we should understand that Koji Mori just lost his best friend and is carrying out this stressful task of continuing a legendary legacy with exceptional aspects. We should not expect the level of perfectionism of Kentaro Miura, it is realistically unachievable, but there is a reason that the only person who he told the entire story to was him. This is what Kentaro Miura would have wanted.
To be honest, Koji Mori did a lot, and as for the new chapters of the manga, they were good to very good, and the last two chapters I saw that darkness and defeatism in our hero, the Black Knight, which is something of Miura's nostalgia, because when Miura was the illustrator and writer there was in every chapter a feeling that I felt in him. Every movement, even the smallest of frames, affects me, and this is what I saw in the last two chapters, which made me happy and hopeful that Koji deserves to complete the manga honestly, and I wish him all the best

From his statements of only adapting the notes and the pacing of the chapters, it will be a little more rushed than the usual Berserk pacing, but we still do not know how many chapters are going to be released until we reach the endpoint. Many are desperate for an ending, but I know once it ends, people are going to wish it was still continuing. I also wouldn't mind 20 more years haha.
I think dwelling on whether it could’ve been better, pointless. The author wrote what he wrote and sometimes we don’t have enough time to do what we want to do in life. But what we have is a celebration, a touching tribute, sure it’s tone is different but that’s the point of art. Which isn’t to demean the message of this video, but rather to be realistic of our expectations and appreciate that his friend stepped up to an impossible task of forefilling someone else’s dream. To me, that’s beautiful.

Honestly, i see the new Berserk as a different manga and i'm very pleased with it. It will never be as good as the Miura era. We can't expect it to be. It's done. We will never have the end and it's okay. The new era is far from bad, if it was not Berserk, we would all love it as it is. I'm trying to appreciate what we have without non stop comparing it to the original run and again, i really appreciate each chapter. (And i'm an ooooooold pre-boatcruise fan)

It's Berserk and all about Guts's struggle. We couldn't have possibly expected a happy ending. It almost seems blasphemous to expect something like that from a story about struggle and pain. It just makes the happy times that much sweeter.
Good point. If we look at the story, all the instances where we, as a community, describe a scene as happy are in reality, very simple. For example, drinking/hanging out with crew members, walking on the beach... Berserk´s darkness makes simple interactions like these more meaningful.
Have these guys ever read the manga? The whole thing is depressing and sad. The whole manga illustrates everything Guts has been through, and how he deals with his struggles. When you were so close, yet so far from your goal, it is only right to break down like that.
As for the end, I don't think there is a happy ending for the Black Knight. Berserk is something very special, and at the beginning it was imaginary. I'm sure the end is purely dramatic and unforgettable. Everyone's end? Or an unexpected shock, many scenes in my imagination until the end, but I am sure that Teacher Miura has horizons that exceed my imagination and the expectations of all fans, and we will see an ending that is absolutely unparalleled, not happy, not sad, not one-sided, and certainly not open or closed, The end of my essence is philosophical, perhaps the most end that the world has been discussing for years. I hope that Miura will not disappoint me and all the fans of this unparalleled series.🖤

this video explained by worries perfectly i believe a lot of miuras refrences eastereggs cryptic forshadwing and attention to details will be left out ... i was falsy hoping that miura left the script completed but the last chapters confirmed the opposite too much imagery and too little dialogue and some of it seem almost generic in my opinion the only thing miura left is an overall idea of the what will happen down the line in the story but ill take that its better than nothing as for the artstyle and panneling i dont even care about that i didnt even mind it going digital even tho it doesnt fit to me berserk will alway have that blackswordsman golden age style i just want the story
Exactly what I suspect. From the small amount of dialogue in the continuation chapters, it seems that Miura only left specific events and ideas but not the interactions, conversations, and narrations. But, positively, we will get to see the broad image of what Miura envisioned for the ending.
Miura wrote the final plot: I have laid my bets on Guts and the failed Dragonsword (or rather, what were his expectations vs the most Powerful apostle without ahem a major change HEH HEH) were right on. Perhaps it will be ....be in his hands. :>
Only problem is that the author unfortunately died. We are lucky to even have a continuation, too me these new chapters and potential the end of a 20-30 year journey is welcoming. Sure there are drawbacks from the new writer taking over, but it’s better than some rando doing it

Good point. It is indeed a small fraction of the community being negative, yet the loudest ones which make them stand out. In the end, as you implied, Berserk is only for Berserk fans. If you do not like it, showing constructive-criticism is acceptable, yet being toxic and disrespectful to others is not correct. If you feel that way, just stop reading and do not bother those who enjoy it.
Final arc? That's not what Miura's team said at all. They said they werw going to finish up the Fantasia arc and do something new after that and continue to do new and interesting things with Berserk. They never said it would be the final arc at all. Just the promise that they would finish it eventually. And Miura told Koji the ending so that is already locked in....Koji specifically said that. And I think you are overthinking Kentaro's writing process. He probably had a bullet point list of plot points and just winged everything in between. The art is what took for freaking ever...and dude did it by himself for a really long time. And even though it needs an ending for the entire Guts vs Griffith....that by no means dictates the story needs to end. Hell...have a Rickert story. Have a 4 volume run about the Skull Knight and how he became that way. Have an arc about the band of the Hawk before they met Guts. Have an arc about Godo and how he came to make the Dragonslayer. Even an arc about Puck and his time with the traveling troupe. Even better...origin of the godhand. I would say do a novel about Grunbeld...but he have that. I enjoyed it despite it not being very popular amongst us fans. Facts...we have no clue when they will conclude Guts vs Griffith...just that they would end the Fantasia arc which they did with the sinking of Elf Hell and Gut's mind. They will do something new afterwards. And Koji knows the actual ending as stated to him by Kentaro. That is all we really know. Saying things like 'final arc' is misleading and no where has that been said by Koji or an assistant. And Berserk is a big cash cow...we are lucky it is being continued by Koji and the assistants...the publisher owns the rights and could do anything they wanted with it. Be greatful and don't spread misinformation. Oh yeah, did you hear Kentaro faked his death and has been spotted in Graceland and by a rover on Mars? He is best buds with Elvis now. He has been talking about having the king finish up with the real super secret ultra ending where there is a reverse eclipse where you give up your power to gain the thing you love the most. His power being Griffith...who gives Guts power in the form of hatred. Guts turns into a 18 year old girl and marries Casca and they have a bunch of pet cats that end up eating Puck. Isadro ends up dating the merrow girls mom. Farny and witch girl also form an intimate relationship and Serpico lives in their closet and cries alot. The mustache knight and Rodrick also get together...but they get eaten by a giant 🐙 squid. The skull knight brings elf queen back to undeath as skull girl and they have a bunch of skeletal babies. Rickert gets with arabian ninja and they adopt Godo's adopted daughter and make her an arabian ninja as well before moving on to be a tapsa...taspa ..whichever. The princess and everyone in Falconia die after the war demons lose it when they lose Griffith. Only the prostitute girls survive....well...not curly hair AIDS girl. She dies shortly after she leaves the group with that dude. Dude keeps his AIDS under remission for several years before dying of an alergic reaction to peanut butter. Irving and Locus merge into one being and become king of the demons....with Zodd as their demon wife. Grunbeld dies from choking on a chicken bone. 🐔 And everyone not dead lives happily ever after. Just think of Berserk fan reactions if any of this came true. There would be riots in the streets. Maybe some angry graffiti as well.
Someone said that before Miura passed away Miura has said that he planned to end the berserk series. That someone said that Miura has said that the berserk manga series would have reach its conclusion after six years. So berserk manga will hopefully will end when I'm still young.
