By your interpretation of 1 Timothy 2:9-15 to mean husbands and wives, you automatically make verse 8 mean that only husbands should pray. See how eisegesis comes back to bite you? That Greek word for "woman" in 1 Timothy 2 is goo-nay. And everywhere that Scripture intends for it to mean "a wife," the context distinguishes it as "wife". The definition and context of goo-nay in 1 Timothy 2 is CLEARLY "a woman, any woman," since in verse 8, the context and meaning of the Greek word an'-ayr, for "men" is "males". Women are not to teach or have authority over men in the Church. Scripture is clear. Paul even repeats it in 1 Corinthians 14:34-38, and makes it clear that it is how is to be done in all the churches (1 Cor. 7:17; 14:33). And when it speaks of a woman, praying or prophesying in 1 Corinthians 11, it is not speaking of teaching or having authority over men in the church. This has caused many fights among Christians and you really have to study and understand the full Bible to determine the answer, the pastor did a good job of his thought process, i to believe women and men should spread the good news which is the WORD of God but I agree also women shouldn't be pastors over men because this is where confusion could come on display. Women are not called to be Pastors or Deacons. The qualifications are clearly explained in the scriptures. there's a difference between a woman preaching, and a woman being a pastor. You don't have to have an official title or office to preach. Just tell a coworker, our neighbor, your testimony, and what led you to Christ. I brought you to Christ that's preaching testimony, but you're preaching not an official church but anytime you witness about Jesus to someone that don't know Jesus, you are preaching whether you are man or woman when it comes to being a pastor of a church, that's different the position and office is different than someone just preach to their friends or to a group of people about their experience with Jesus Christ

There is a small possibility that he is referring to a Roman or local law. If not, then Paul is stating that Christian women were still under the Old Covenant laws. If you can't find men to preach when the lead pastor is unavailable, you got a weak church that hasn't been preparing men. The day my church allows a woman to preach, I'm out of there and looking for a Bible based church.

I had the opportunity to have Bishop Wooden on my broadcast to discuss issues affecting the church, but on this issue I respectfully disagree with his position regarding women preaching and/or teaching men in the local church. Women can teach women in the local church, but Scripture does NOT permit women to teach men in the local church when the church assembles. Hopefully, I can invite Bishop back on my program to discuss this topic further.

That would be sin, because God made her a woman by His choice. She should accept and also embrace her position in the lower tier. A church, is either a group of Christian men or a group of Christian men and women. A church can never be a group of Christian women, because it would be a group of only those in the lower tier. It would have no elders. I'm sorry but it didn't take a pastor to teach me on this subject. In my super early babe walk with the Lord I was not in a church just me and Jesus and he taught me on his ways and answered all my questions because I just simply sought him out on all things. He clearly explained in different words exactly what this pastor is saying so this is just confirmation on what I was already taught and already knew. It is certainly ok to respectfully disagree on subjects but just keep in mind he gave us leaders for a reason and if you dont agree go to the Lord and tell HIM you disagree and simply just ask him to just clarify. I asked father why is this concept so hard for some to perceive and he said because of a "religious" spirit. 😮... I too do not hang on every single word of pastors but I do listen then take to the Lord for confirmation. I say in love PLEASE seek the Lord.... Again I say SEEK the LORD!!! The answer is No, pastors. Now, I've been in agreement with other subjects. Not on this. The Scripture makes it clear. A woman is not to preach, and you should not make any excuses to disobey the word.
Women can preach. But not be ordained to pastoral ministry. We are all commissioned to preach but only the male are separated or ordained to pastoral ministry.
Women are the mothers of creation, but not preachers and pastors. Your calling is to teach every child being formed!! It’s greater than the call of pastor. Focus on training young women to honor this call! Aged women teach the younger women.

Furthermore, what happened in Acts 18 is precisely why Paul told Timothy that women are not permitted to teach or have authority over men…. Aquila and Priscilla meant well, but they did something that the Lord Jesus corrected through the Apostle Paul. Timothy was the pastor of the church at Ephesus, which is the very setting we see in Acts chapter 18. The book of Acts is the account of what happened in the early church, it’s not to be used for doctrine. The only doctrine we should follow is what we get from our Lord Jesus Christ and His Apostles. Acts 2:42 In 1Tim 2:11-13, Paul was correcting a practice that had began in Ephesus with Aquila & Priscilla teaching Apollos. 1Cor 14:33-38 further testifies to GOD’s will and order concerning this matter. Also, Galatians 3:28 is speaking of salvation. Men and women alike receive the same salvation, there is no difference in their salvation. But according to GOD’s Word there definitely is a difference in the offices that men and women can hold and the ministries that they can do. With all thy getting, get understanding. Unfortunately what is happening is people are vying for a title. God calls us to be servants. I am a woman, I love God and I know that God can speak to me. However I understand that modern religion is getting further and further from what God says. What does His Word say? To pick and choose the scriptures that you want to justify your viewpoint is wrong. I have heard some say well that was for that particular church when Paul said that, well that is just like saying when Paul said to rejoice always, or in all things be content, or to think on things that are good, true lovely…… that that was just for that church, for that time. The Word of God is clear that a woman should not usurp authority over a man. So if you’re an apostle, pastor, etc….. are you not usurping authority over the man and that is not biblical. This doesn’t mean that God looks at us women as less, but we weren’t created to carry the responsibility and weight of a body of believers or churches. God made man because he was created and to be able to do this. There is an order to how God set this up, and it’s not to hurt us or keep anything amazing from us!!!

It is Not that women can't preach or do a better job, it is Simply that the assignments are different: starting with order, secondly Order, and thirdly ORDER. Both doctrine and denomination focuses on extreme coupled by control are spirits of the adversary against the church pitting one against the other. All are avenues for ruler spirits to manifest in the church if wisdom is not applied.

Saying a woman isn’t supposed to learn under her husband nowadays is like saying a man isn’t supposed to learn under God and children aren’t supposed to learn under their parents. God created the Divine Order for a reason and that’s just what it is.
Amen Sis! This is all controversial because of the curse of the women “desiring” their husbands thus the reason we have these gender wars. Also for the scriptures people use to keep women silent, I have yet see someone give the historical context of the reason Paul said what he said to the Church.
Prophesying is not preaching. Pastors quote that scripture and don’t understand. God never called and sent a woman to PREACH. Prophesying is foretelling future things.
