I disagree with some of what was said at around 2:10. My first son got into RPI regular decision. Our out of pocket was 23k /semester My second son two years later got into RPI early decision. Our out of pocket was 4k /semester. The difference was 10 points on the SAT and nearly same gpa. Both the same major. That made me think that they offered more help because of ED, quite contrary to what was said in this video. This is of course anecdotal but a pretty extreme contradiction with what was said in this video, so much so that I think there is something worthy to be noted from it.
That's correct. You can only apply for Early Decision during senior year and most colleges have ED deadlines in November. There are a number of institutions that also offer Early Decision 2 and you can click the following link to learn more: www.collegetransitions.com/blog/early-decision-ii/
You can't apply ED to more than one college at the same time, however, there are a number of institutions that offer ED2. Click the following link to learn more: www.collegetransitions.com/blog/early-decision-ii/
Yes, but be sure to pay attention as to whether the school offers regular Early Action versus Restrictive Early Action. Click this link to learn more about applying Early Action: www.collegetransitions.com/blog/early-action/
