I really do support Christian not going to same sex weddings. But what you have a love one you know that is gay but you don’t support then and they know that you don’t. But still want them to go to your wedding. Do you invite them or no?
what about work? in December they will encourage me to wear a cross dress? I told them I am not interested. They say I must since everyone is doing it. I told them I'm sorry I will not comply. I had a granddaughter who WAS gay invited me to her wedding, I told her no I loved her but could not approve of her lifestyle. She later told me how much respect she had for me for being honest. She is now born again and married to a born again man expect their first child. Prayed for eyes to be open..
I have a daughter that lives the gay lifestyle. Me and my husband don't agree, because it is sin and is against GOD. We love her and support her, but do NOT agree with her lifestyle. I was invited by a friend to go to her friend’s daughter’s destination wedding. I told my friend yes (Holy Spirit is dealing with me about being a yes person). Well after being convicted by Holy Spirit that the homosexual union was not of God I went back and told my friend I could not go. Thank you Pastor Vlad for providing the scriptures. However, we as human beings & man pleasers tend to say yes at times before we think things through! And In this lady’s case it was her daughter that was lesbian not her friend! Praise God , she listened to the voice of the Holy Spirit & headed His warning 🙏

If you ever have that issue, let me know. I will book you for that day so you do not have to sin (lie). Just tell them I think someone else might be interested in booking me that weekend. Not saying you should ask for trials, but times that try you make you stronger and don't waver. If the time comes stand tall on the Word not matter that it might look like at the moment. You will be better after it is over.
I would rather say I can't perform same sex weddings because it displease God and they need to watch out for Satan, I would let them sue me no matter what, marriage is between a man and a woman. I have a daughter who married a woman I respectfully declined and she understood due to my faith I could not attend, I love my daughter, and first and foremost I have to be obedient to the Lord
2 years ago my aunt, which is almost like a sister, got married to another woman. She invited me to her wedding & all of my Dad's side of the family had gone since my parents are divorced. I called her couple months prior to her wedding & broke the word down with her as to why I couldn't attend, using wisdom & kindness. She still got offended but she understood deep down. And as a result we still talk & can have good conversations till this day. I felt relieved after I told her what the bible says because I did my part as a man of God should. But felt some kind of rejection from her. It hurt but that's the same way Jesus felt when his own people rejected him. But remember God makes ALL things work together for good to those that Love God! 🙌
I'm glad you still have a relationship with your Aunt. No matter what, we as Christians have to always stand in the truth of God's word. I need to learn how to stand in truth and to accept the fact that many people I know will probably not accept the Gospel message and not even give Jesus another thought. But I still pray for non-Christians everyday.
Yes, the Bible is God's Word and we shouldn't let anything lead us away from it. However, this can prove to be more difficult to implement in our daily lives.
We as Christians were never meant to be liked by the world, but to live faithful in Christ. Sooner or later, we will all be separated from those who we were closest with in our lives before we put our faith in Jesus. The world hated Jesus first and they hate us because we don't conform to the ways of the world. However, God is bigger and more powerful than the world. We must remain true to our convictions in Christ, but in the process we give up people who were close to us.
Me and my mom actually just came from my male cousin's gay wedding a week ago. I personally had a lot of doubts about going, and I really didn't feel like I wanted to, but im still working on that part of myself that tends to people-please. Things went fine at the wedding at first, but the week after, we got a huge consequence. That same newly wed cousin called my mom and cursed her out, and blamed us for "ruining" his wedding. Mind you we didn't say anything, or do anything, but that response is another way of realizing how big of a mistake it was to attend that wedding out of "love" . Both me and my mom have repented for not listening to the spirit, especially since we had went to church hours before the wedding.(Yes, the wedding was on a Sunday as well...) Never again will I attend out of "love" because that is not loving. As I Christian , i knew in my heart i don't stand with the LGBTQ community, and I know it goes against God's word. But I still have so much more to grow from, and that is standing my ground when it comes to pressure from other people, and being okay with being the Odd one out, or being seen in a bad light.

One of my granddaughters is a lesbian and she invited me to her wedding and I just told her that I couldn't go because it's against my belief and I would always keep her in my prayers and I love her very much and she said ok I understand and I love you too, she still comes to see me every time she can. If a person knows that you believe in GOD'S word's they will understand why you can't go against it.

The world hated Jesus so much that they nailed Him to a cross, so the world will also hate those who follow Him. However, Jesus' death allowed people to be saved by having faith in Him. Christians stand on truth and not on contrived ideas. God is love, but love doesn't always that mean we support our family members, friends or co-workers when they choose to lead a sinful lifestyle. Showing love means that Christians tell them about why living a gay lifestyle is wrong and what they can do to be set free from the bondage of sin. Years ago my mother, a nurse, was invited by a coworker to attend his gay wedding. As a Lutheran, respectfully declined. He was very understanding and nice about the situation. ✝️🙏❤️🙌
It's good when a gay person is understanding about things like that. The thing that bothers me the most is that our culture is such that it wants to force Christians and others who are against homosexuality to kow-tow it.

My daughter recently told us she was gay. We had a conversation and I let her know I loved her and would be kind and respectful to her friend but would never be able to attend a gay wedding and why. I took a stand and she has cut off the relationship. Every day this is painful for me. There is a cost to following Jesus. It hurts a lot but for all the reasons you stated and my entire family is adversely affected. My husband stands with my convictions so far. Please pray for my daughter.

I was in the lifestyle for years and was one of the most hard headed of all of my friends. Before I renounced Jesus all together I would go back and forth for years trying to follow God in my own strength. Eventually after trying to defend that God loved me anyways for years I ended up an atheist bordering more on satanism. One night I encountered the spirit of God in my bedroom and I surrendered my life for the first time to Jesus. I met Him and all other identity had to bow. I might have been “born that way” but the moment I was born again everything changed for me. It’s been a journey of four years now and I wouldn’t trade Jesus for anything thing in my old life. I didn’t always see it this way but Holy Spirit has walked me into His truth. I now know that attending a same sex wedding is more than just attending. When the Pastor says, “…before God and these witnesses” the attendees are being acknowledged as witnesses. We are actual witnesses to the joining of two people meant to keep them accountable to their vows. That alone takes attending any wedding up a notch but also provides us a deeper view on what that means when we attend a wedding that is not Biblical. I can’t keep anyone accountable to living in sin when my purpose now is to direct you to the one who delivers you from sin. I know realizing this has changed my whole perspective and maybe it will for others. Love you all!

I have not been invited to a gay wedding as people I know, family and friends who support LGBTQ community, have stopped inviting me to gatherings and events. I have been called judgmental and told that I am a terrible person and to them my faith is a cult. It is very sad and so I continue to pray for them because I love them. I don't like or comment on their posts that celebrate their chosen lifestyle. When asked what I think, I share with them what and why I believe as it aligns with the word of God. While they may no longer invite me I invite family members to events and it is them who have decided not to come because they say I have too many rules that make them feel unwelcome.
When you feel rejected or hurt while remaining obedient to Jesus, just remember God is watching over you and saying, “well done, good and faithful servant.” Remain strong in your convictions, and be at peace, for your creator and Lord and Savior loves you more than you or I can possibly fathom!!!

I'm sorry that many people in your life are rejecting you for your faith in Jesus. Jesus Himself said that people of the world would hate Christians because they hated Jesus first. It is very difficult for me to accept that some people reject God because they don't know just how amazing He is. I always pray for my brothers and sisters in Christ, so you will definitely be in my prayers. She didn’t accept my no. She rejects and disowns me as her grandma.. it’s a small price to pay..I will no longer compromise or put my “amen” on something I can’t agree with scripturally. I am 64 and straight and was raised Catholic...lived life's highs and lows. In my experience, live and let live. Whether I agree with someone or something it is not my place to judge. Love is love and if you are fortunate enough to find it in this insane world, go for it. I am sure in a video like this my thoughts and beliefs will not be popular....there is too much hate and discord in the world (especially after Trump) for me to act as judge, jury and executioner.
My wife and I were surprised to see that one of her nieces was gay, and was getting married. We didn't think twice about it, and decided not to go to her wedding. We're just hoping that my wife's brother can understand our decision.

Thank you for posting this video. I was invited to my sister's wedding with another woman. Our dad said he was not going to go bc of her with another woman. I told her that I was going to pray about it. In my spirit, I knew it was a no. It was hurting my heart. she says she feels like she has no family bc of her lifestyle. I want her to know that I do love her I just cant get behind that.
In the end, you will be doing the right thing. These lost people need love, but it doesn't mean we always support them. I pray people like your sister would be saved and set free. God bless sister!
I would let her know that it’s not that you don’t love her, but that you do love her! And you love her so much that your afraid for her. And she is always part of your family, always has been, and always will be your sister no matter what. You will never let her go. It’s not that you don’t like her, and are trying to push her away, but the opposite and trying to help with what the lord has in store for her. Tell her that you LOVE her so much you couldn’t see her not having a great happy and peaceful life now and forever. Tell her that the Lord is not against her, but for her! He’s waiting for right time for her to come to his arms and say I love you to her, that is crying for his lost daughter and wants to be with her now. That love is not love, but truth that the lord was right. But to hurt her, or relationships, family, or just to put rules out for her to prove she could follow. Not to go extreme just to have rules to make us suffer. No! To protect us from the suffering. Tell, her the lord has someone, patience will be key, and she will be happy. Just come to the lord so he will not only heal, but help with every struggle. And that even you don’t want her to suffer in the end! Life is short compare to eternity. What will coming the lord do? It could save her, nothing else can do that. Even if she doesn’t believe why not try? You don’t die from Christianity. So what will it hurt to try, see what the lord will do. See if he works, he does not want 99%, or it won’t work, he needs all or nothing. If she is all tell her she will be amazed on what she didn’t see. Tell her to try even for a month, just to try church once with you. And to seek god, and expect him. To ask god to show her signs or something if she doesn’t believe. To ask for something, to just ask one thing. And to truly trust and believe. And with that patience, the key. And that there is no risk in saying no to her interest in getting married. What’s the worst that could happen, the women she likes laughs? If so that wouldn’t matter. Because she said no to getting married. So not going to see the women she like anymore anyway. And I know, and tell her that you know losing a partner and finding one is hard, and absolutely hard. But with the lord, he will help her. He has someone for her, so one she never get to meet if she doesn’t try. But she meet if she tries. Believing in god isn’t hard, and decision doesn’t have to either.That’s all it takes. And why you love her so much that’s why you disagree. God doesn’t not love us, but loves us so much that he protects us with his laws from suffering. From missing out, even if she’d rather miss out, I would rather not regret when older in missing out. But finding out would I do, so no regret can chase me. (Because god is good all the time, and all the time god is good.)
@@tinyger I really wish that I had your resolve. However, we need to let people have free will. God loves us and love means allowing someone that we love to express their free will just as God gave us free will as human beings. With all of this said, we can still pray for non-christians to be set free of their sinful lives. We could also start out small and gently guide these people toward God. It is a delicate and slow process in which people have to realize that they are sinners in need of a Saviour. Then, these people finally repent of their sins and "confess with their mouths that Jesus" is Lord. It is difficult for Christians to accept that people are choosing to reject Jesus and therefore are sending themselves to hell. On one hand, that's the price that humans have to pay for having a free will. On the other hand, if we weren't granted free will as human beings, then what good would it do for God to "force" people to believe against their will? This is not part of God's character because God is love and, again, He allows us free will. My point is that we must kindly encourage them to seek out God and minister to them the gospel and not be pushy or impatient about their acceptance of the gospel. As long as we tell people and try to educate them about the gospel, then that's all we're able to do. From then on, the choice will be up to them whether they want to follow or reject Jesus. It's great if they choose Jesus, repent and are saved, but if they choose to reject Him, we just will not be able to do anything about it and they will suffer in hell for their own choice. Therefore, if we have done all we could and people still choose hell by rejection of Jesus, then we aren't to blame for that. We can try, but we just can't expect to save everyone. I’ve been waiting on this, i attended a wedding about 4 years ago and this last two years i was showed that i was wrong and i repented and had to tell people i was wrong as a follower of Christ. That’s why we gotta be careful to not let the worldly Christian lifestyle be our guide but Jesus Christ.
Amen! We all still make mistakes sometimes as Christians but God forgives us because we are in Christ. I'm not saying to sin, but to not be so hard on yourself when you do happen to sin. Trust in the Lord with all your heart.

When you attend a wedding, you are making a commitment to support that wedding. GOD said marriage is for a man and a women. We are not to support anything that goes against God's word
I prayed to know what to do because I'm going through a situation rn where my brother is gay and getting married. I told him that I love him but I can't support him because of my beliefs and he got upset. The predicament at the beginning of the video that vlad gave was what was going through my mind so I prayed and then lo and behold this video pops up. God is good and he hears your prayers. Excellent job, as always, Pastor Vlad. The reason why Christians get confused by things like this is that they don't completely realize our moral compass must be the Word of God ONLY. Many believers base decisions on feelings, opinions, pop culture, wrong theology, fear of man -- everything BUT the Word of God. Oh, that we would be horrified to offend God and His Word more than our fear to offend people!
I went to a gay wedding recently. Both female. The one was a coworker. Such a bubbly personality! But i will NEVER do that again. I didn't realize how it affected me. It's just not right. I had to pray for forgiveness.
In The Netherlands we do gay wedding in Church. I did attended a gay wedding long time ago. I am gay myself. But 2 years ago i gave my life to Jesus because of everything He done for me. I choosed to live without a partner. God has a major plan for us all. But yes... I am sad that the thief stole God's children that I could have now, if I had not been deceived by the lies of the world. God loves children. But somehow i did listen to the lies of the world...... and i became gay. God is gonna change me. But its too late for children now.

I had a similar situation with my lesbian daughter who wanted to stay overnight in my home with her girlfriend. I had to tell her that I would not allow them to sleep in the same bed together in my home, but if they wish to stay overnight they needed to sleep in separate bedrooms since I would not allow the appearance-of-acceptance of the relationship and their being a couple. It would be the same if she married, I would not attend.

My wife and I had this debate regarding her daughter getting married to another woman. My wife told me that she had been talking to her gay daughter about this lifestyle and that God does not approve of what she's doing. Her daughter and the daughter's soon to be marriage mate had found some kind of corrupted so called Christian church to attend that approves of this lifestyle. My wife went to the wedding and was part of the wedding party, I also saw pictures taken of the wedding and my wife was all smiles. It took place in another state but I wouldn't have gone anyway. I'm in agreement that if we as Christians attend these weddings it's an indication to the community that we approve. My wife has claimed to be Christian but this as well as other red flags has made me wonder if she's not just putting on a show. Sometimes I think I might be married to Lot's wife. God will sort her out eventually as to whether she's a wheat or a tare.
I have a similar situation. My wife's adult daughter who I adopted is a lesbian which I knew when I adopted her. About a year ago my daughter told me if she ever got married she would want me to not only attend her wedding but also walk her down the aisle and as I am an ordained minister officiate her wedding. I told her I would pray about attending and walking her down the aisle because as her dad I love and support her but I could not as a Christian minister officiate. We were in a restaurant together and she went into a rage for everyone to hear. Well fortunately she and i have mended our relationship and she has no prospects of marriage anytime in the seeable future.

It took me so long explaining how God does not honor “love is love” in these instances when my daughter told me that when I tried speaking to her about homosexuality while walking past a store in the mall hanging the colorful flag. I wish I had that analogy at that time. I could have shut that down sooner with greater impact that would have stuck with her better.

Well, I guess I blew it. My daughter got married to a woman a few years ago. I was very upset for many reasons, however I let my daughter know that I didn't not approve. I told her that I would not go to a church for this mess & I sure wasn't going to walk her down the idle. I did go. I sat there like I lost my only daughter. I still struggle if it was right to go, but I did what I thought would show love to her. She & the other woman knows EXACTLY how I feel about it. I feel terribly still. My heart is broken
I would find a reason not to go but then there is the question of how do you avoid not giving a wedding gift? I think it probably would be better to tell the person outright that invited you that you love them and respect them but it conflicts with your beliefs to be supportive of this marriage in any way; therefore you won't be attending nor purchasing anything from their registry.
I only mentioned the gift because those that are familiar with me know I'm a loving, giving, gifting kind of person and would be more likely to expect me to get them something if I said I'm simply not attending. I only brought up the gift part in terms of culture and setting appropriate expectations in the other party.
So would you go to a heterosexual wedding if they weren’t Christian’s? If they were drinkers? If they were in porn? It’s interesting that Christians say this in regards to anything to do with homosexuality yet when heterosexual couples support something sinful, that whole “love the sinner, hate the sin” thing gets thrown out the window and they still have no problem attending their wedding.

I live in a country where same sex marriages are not allowed ( people do it secretly)after reading the comments of people i realised that how blessed i am that I don't have to go through such situation however i witnessed a similar situation. One of my cousin wanted to marry a non believer( muslim guy), it is a big issue here cause of the conservative society and her family had to support her ( which i think is wrong too)but when they invited us i was the first one to stand against it and my family understood it and we directly said sorry we can not attend a wedding as it is wrong according to the word of God. I thought about this situation before their invitation alot, its not about only attending, its about supporting such marriages and setting the examples for other children in the family. I knew if we attend this wedding it will make her think that she is doing nothing wrong, and if anyother child in the family comeup and say the same thing then we couldn't say No to that also. We have to set a example for others by standing firm on word of God whether they like it or not. For whole one years my aunts family stopped meeting us cause we didn't attend her daughter's wedding, then they patchup themselves.
i saw my local shopkeeper helping to put up decorations for a ' pride ' street party the other day - since then i've been travelling an extra 10 minutes to the next nearest shop... i don't mix with the devil or his supporters full stop 😊

This is good for thought. I want to love and accept people and not be judgemental as a believer but not to the point that they feel I accept their sinful lifestyle. I probably need to make my beliefs more known in my words and actions.
Thank you for this video. I chose not to attend my niece's gay wedding two weeks ago. (My niece was raised in an evangelical church) =/. I was the only family member who did not attend (including many who identify as "born again" Christians). I just couldn't celebrate this union. I still love my niece and would give my life for her - but I cannot support the sin. I asked myself if I thought Jesus would attend a gay wedding. The answer was yes - IF He was going to preach about sin and repentance - not celebrate the "marriage". If I was not willing to do this then I figured I shouldn't go. I'm still in awe about my relatives who attended. I appreciate the insight of this video. Thank you

One argument I kept hearing about pro-gay marriage is this: it would help the gay couple remain faithful. However the reality is: it doesn't. Not if the couple insists on keeping company with other members of the same gender, attending gay pride parades, gay camps, what have you. No fidelity, no responsibility for the partner at all.
My daughter married a woman about a month ago I stood my ground and said no way will I support anything that the Bible states it is an abomination to our Lord . On the other hand my husband her father did attend as much as I prayed that he would not attend . I didn’t understand it and don’t know how the Lord will deal with him about this . but I trust my Lord and pray that one day he will totally convict my daughter about this life style . 🙏🏼

My wife and I weren’t invited to one of her gay cousins’ wedding and after prayer we were thankful because. We were thankful because although we love them and never treat them with disrespect, they respected our belief enough to not offer us an invite. When we see them at family functions they say hi and they still talk to us.
Most of my family attended the wedding, but some did not, including his father. I was taken back at how hurt my gay family member felt because of this. In his mind, he feels like he's not being accepted, although he knows that we act out of our Christian convictions.

That's a bit of a misunderstanding, it's not that all people at that wedding are homosexual, just the ones getting married. Also, I hope that everyone has to decency to not flirt with anyone on a marriage.
I just subscribed to your channel and I want to thank you for making it so clear and easy for me to understand. I’m a Christian and I admit that I’ve actually worried that we would be invited to a gay wedding and how I would handle it. I don’t want to be at a gay wedding, which in my mind would be participating in the celebration. This really helped give me some clarity on the subject. We have quite a few friends with children that are gay and I have worried about this, knowing that I could lose those friendships that I really treasure. I’m always hoping to avoid the whole situation so I’m not put in that situation to have to say no to them. It’s hard sometimes to live our convictions. I try the best I can. @@pastorbri thats a silly question presenting the fallacy that I have to support one sin over another. The bible says both sins (homosexuality and fornication) are mortal. Regardless, the marriage isnt recognized by God and is still the same thing, homosexual practice (the act, not the attraction) and fornication (since the union is not recognized). How can we supoort a person's decent into destruction? I mean sure, is it better someone be committed in a relationship? Sure. Does it make it right? No. These aren't our human standards which we are grading this by else we really wouldnt have a problem here. I would prefer no one be excluded from the kingdom of God, an eternity without kindness, mercy, love, goodness, peace and light is horrific. We should not celebrate but weep for someone who has chosen to persist towards an eternity of endless descent into perpetual and bottomless ruin. Every day in such a state would worse than the last. It is probably a mercy that it's on fire.

Every situation is different when seen through the eyes of love and commitment . My daughter is gay and married a woman with 2 children , a boy and a girl she had by artificial insemination by the same donor. I never considered not attending the wedding but felt somewhat uncomfortable as did my wife who has terminal M.S. They were absolutely committed to each other and it showed. The boy who was about 7 at the time sat by me hugged me and said "I don't have a father "...well that broke my heart. I want to be his grandfather if I can't be his father. My wife and I love each one of these souls and they have added joy to our lives . After 8 years their marriage is intact and these two "grandchildren" are superb students , athletes and very normal in every way. I do not condone the gay lifestyle but love to mean anything should be unconditional.

I’ve always thought about this. My best male friend is a gay man and is in a serious relationship with another man. I’ve gone to restaurants and hung out with them as a couple different times. As much as I love my friend, I always feel like I must walk on egg shells when around them. He wants my support an acceptance of his union, but my spirit screams to me that it is wrong. I do not believe the Holy Spirit would allow me to go in good conscious if they were to get married.
Why stop at the wedding? Some Christian’s would argue that if a gay person isn’t already part of your family that you shouldn’t even associate with them. After all, you being a friend with someone is in some sense supporting who they are, and who you’re sexually attracted to is definitely a part of who you are. I was taught growing up to stay away from gay people, that they would “corrupt” me. If you want to live a good Christian life then you should stay away from “corruption” whenever possible right?

I did not attend a gay wedding, but my wife and I did attend the funeral of the ‘spouse’ of a couple in my neighborhood. The deceased was the harder, more zealous of the two. Perhaps what you might call the ‘male.’ I loved them both as a neighbor, in a Christian witness. They were women, and like it or not, they needed a man around the house. I helped them build a ramp. I buried their dead cat. I was curious about attended a pagan funeral in their church, but my primary interest in going was to continue my witness to what I considered the more ‘open to Christ,’ of the two. The second of the two - my friend - was raised in a Baptist church - her Father the preacher. She moved away, by I still stay in touch with her.

I have two daughters that told me they are bisexual. One asked me if I would go to a wedding if it was gay or lesbian. I absolutely would refuse to celebrate anyone's sin. I don't celebrate my sin.
We must rather worry what God says and thinks about us. Than worrying what people say and think about us. My one dad is a pastor and he was asked numerous times to either marry a same sex couple or to pray a blessing over them. They even offered him huge amounts of money. He said no. How can he go against God. Theres no way. He refuses to marry same sex couples and also wont pray a blessing over that sinful relationship.
I was invited to a co worker’s wedding. Small salon. Everyone went but me. I just couldn’t do it! She was nice about it and understanding. Divorced and married a man. She’s very happy with him.
