Peace and love!! I feel that using conditioner period is not very beneficial. Whether starting with baby locs or mature locs, you need to dilute the conditioner in a bottle with water before applying it into your hair. Even then your hair could potentially unravel in certain parts of your locs or cause build up, make your hair feel heavy, and leave residue. The best way I have found to condition your locs is by doing hair rinses. There's many different herbs you could use by themselves or combine to apply on your locs. For me, I shampoo twice, one clarifying shampoo and one moisturizing shampoo. And after that, I do a hair rinse and a hot oil treatment. And my hair always comes out light, soft, and moisturized.
Literally the first and only video that answered my question about conditioning my starter sisterlocks. Not only was the information helpful, it was more than just a don't condition, but if you do condition, here is how. Love all of this. Thanks.
Though short, this video just answered some pressing questions I’ve had for the past few weeks!!! And this is why I’ve followed you since you loc’d your tapered cut…your info is relevant to my situation! Thanks for bringing attention to questions I needed to ask myself about my current loc regimen. I now feel confident in the adjustments I need to make going forward! ❤
Do what's best for your individual type of hair. Some ppl have soft nappy hair, some have course nappy hair. My hair is very thin and soft, I moisturize once or twice a week with a light oil mixed with water and nothing else.
