Sales is the most unsecured and hardest career for the following reasons. 1- Sales is a number game, if you don't achieve your monthly sales Quotas or simply Targets you will be out in 2-3 months time, job hunting 2- How hard you work, efforts you make, how friendly or honest to your prospective clients are no use and in vain if you don't archive your sales targets. 3- Your Manager is your best buddy as long as you archive or exceed the monthly sales targets, if you under perform or don't archive sales targets, you will be treated like dirt by your manager. 4- Your Qualifications or Degree certificates are just a piece of paper in a sales careers, cos if you want to progress in your company (promotion) or secure your job, Sales performance is the main factor for consideration.
Thank you Victor. Tomorrow I am interviewing for Relationship Manager, I have been refreshing my interview skills and came across this video. I CAN do this! I know I can sel because my sales skill is getting to know that customer and my product.
Hello. Your many podcasts have helped me in the past in job hunting which is a form of selling; in my case myself. There were certain processes, which were okay but many needed tweaking chopping and changing, for my job hunting as a honest hard-working sales man would've done. I will get to the "Close" I applied for a job in the Health and Care sector, through learning from your Podcasts, I gave the employer the confidence that what I lack in experience, I have double confidence and double incentive to improve and learn. Thank you for the Podcast, which has made a big difference in taking on challenges.
I did sales for one day, it was credit card, It was much difficult for me, as I am kind of introvert. And I gave up in a 3 dayS. But then I learned one thing, before selling your product, know your product, how its better then others. After quoting selling job, I studied about credit card. 😅
Man I feel so learned from this one video. I took down a page and half of notes, all broken down in my own way as I learned to UNIQUELY make something my own. Love you brother and remember selling aint hard when you know how to. :D
I cracked my sales interview, thanks to you Victor. There are plenty of other channels on similar topics, but none got me hooked to what they were selling.
I have a sales job, and the company comes across very friendly. We say we're a family company, and that we have the best quality in town for competitive prices. Our quality is a tad bit higher than the average, but not the BEST, and our estimates come in at $10K-$15K higher than other companies almost every time. I know that's why this company hires sales people, and it's my job to build value and make the customer excited about spending more money for similar products but I'm really having a hard time with it. I'm told to not leave a house unless I get kicked out essentially. Is this pretty common in sales? Do I struggle with this because my company is overcharging or because I am a bad salesperson?
Hi Victor, I have been watching your insightful and refreshing videos since I started selling as a Real Estate Agent in the U.K. which is a very competitive market and getting more crowded as new online property sales companies have started.Do you have any videos on Selling Property or Real Estate or Property?
Glad to see your another great video victor. I see your different video everyday. I'm in sales for pretty long tine, close to three decades. I like to sharpen my knowledge and skills , and your video is my referring guide. Keep it up bro.
thanks Victor for another wonderful video. do you have any video on creating a sales process. I notice an not confident at negotiating prices especially when am not convinced am helping the client to make enough profit selling my product. what can you suggest I do to get over this.
I am scared to realize that business and entrepreneurship is not for me,, even tho I like the idea of it ??....if I was not born to be it,, can I still become the best ...I'm 15 years old ..thank you
i am an eighteen (18) year old lady. i had an experience in sales before until now as you said victor we are all in sales. But i'm not proffesional at it but in the other hand i want to make it as my career and master it. Currently , i'm not studying in school neither in home wanting to take courses related to business.. however, i'm educating myself through this kind of audio in youtube. NOW , i will proudly say i'm in the famous school in the world called RU-vid academy! :) i'm looking forward for more audios and videos victor! have a great day.
Im in the same position. At 19,not in school.i started my e-commerce business here in Kenya.Victor has been of great help. All the strategies i use are from his videos/audios
Just when I thought sales may not be for me, you reminded me of a principle that made me enjoyed sales: loving what the product does for your customer. Also, the point about 8/9 of the people in America engaging in sales 40% of the time when they aren't professional salespeople was impressive. You got me VA, thank you. I'm wasn't a subscriber before this video, but now I am.
I am brand new to car sales, Dec. 2016 to be exact. I sold 14 cars my first month, but this month I've only sold 9. I was really stressed out about my numbers, and questioning whether I have what it takes. I still need a ton of training because my closing ratio is really low. I appreciate your advice and I will find a unique process as you suggested! I will continue to keep up with your videos for futher knowledge, thank you!!
I like Tom Hopkin's material and I will also add that NO ONE has THE best selling method....not even me. Why? Because everyone differs in how they sell and what they sell. The key is to study the best trainers and then develop what works for you. I'm sure you'd agree :-)
To answer what other job can you control income, waiting tables. At the proper restaurant with proper knowledge you can earn WAY more than many of your coworkers, given you aren’t pooling tips. At one of my restaurants I made upwards of 60k a year and I was working next to people who had my same job title making 25k a year. This was mostly due to my work ethic and devotion to learning about food and alcohol. It can be a truly fascinating, and extremely rewarding job. A successful waiter can sell. After being in the restaurant industry for almost 8 years I would love an opportunity to try out a sales job based on commission. Currently searching.
Glad I found you. Interviewed for a Sales post today and was contemplating calling to say I'm no longer interested because I've never sold before but want to manage my income. Thanks so much for this!!!
I totally agree with you Antonio, I started implementing structure and making it mine the results were astounding I actually was able to create a good level anticipation with the structure that listeners where jumping wanting to know and meet when I had not even finished my script. What I am lacking is self control of my mind, possitive reinforced thoughts and stop believing the lies in which I claim to be stupid and stop listening to supposed business partners that reference me to a bad used prostitute, get rid of the voices in my head and the idiots around me that speak like the devil.
To me it’s easy to approach people because I’ve done this since I was 16 years old , I’ve done from cold calls to getting customers outside . I think it is all about your attitude your character and your communication skills plus you need to know everything about what your selling so you can make your sells easier
I like selling I once sold 15k on flooring material in half a week. That’s when I knew I was good at it , so I left that job because it wasn’t a commission job .
The worst part about sales is all the bs about unlimited income and how you can be financially free blah blah. Money can be had in anything for which you have passion. And that is what is important. It is as if sales is trying to sell itself. In the end most sales people aren't that wicked smart or aren't great visionaries and have no choice but to sell. It is false to say that you need to like people to be effective in sales. You need to convince the buyer that you are likeable which means that he won't get screwed over in a deal.
Victor Antonio so true. I have had such bad experiences with sales , and I think a lot of it had to do with inexperience and lack of ability to own the situation. I find your videos very helpful because I am a buyer. It is very helpful to know the mindset of the other side of the "opportunity".
Couldn't agree more! As a RU-vidr I one day wish my passion could come across like yours. Sales is a fantastic career choice and our job is to educate schools and colleges to teach young people that Sales is a fantastic career choice. The benefits of the skills learnt in sales will have such positive impacts on all aspects of their life's. E.g winning, losing, handling rejection, commitment, self development, etc
Thank you for the video, I have been now 1 month in my new sales position and I asked myself this today. I am learning day by day and feel like next month I will be better than I was this month. I am willing to learn new things and revamp my technique. I wont give up because I do actually like the product I sell and believe in it.
Victor thank you for sharing this valuable info. When you say we need a “sales process” what specifically do you mean? Are you referring to a “sales script, talk path, or call flow”? Are these all the same? Is planting seeds of value, asking questions and preventing objections then asking for the sale a part of the sales process you’re talking about? Can you give an example of your sales process? I currently sell property & casualty insurance via cold calling leads in a call center. Thank you!
Im an industrial engineer graduate and recently got a job offer as a sales executive at a very huge company!! Im worried and this video RELATES SO MUCHHHH !
I am consistently asking myself if I should be in Sales. The missing part which I often overlooked is how it can benefit my Clients. I am powered again. I am for Sales 💪🙏
