My dad and I use to watch your show when I was younger. He really love your work Stacy. He was a car guy through and through. I remember watching the copperhead truck episodes and Dad really liked that truck as he was drawn more towards trucks although he loved both. I'm glad you are still making videos and the show as well. God bless you and if you are really going to church and trying to live right you shouldn't use curse words. Thanks for all the memories.

Great Advice!!! My son is 4 and LOVES trucks and wants to build one together when we get the space to do so. Definitely going to introduce him to your content!! I hope we can pick your brain some day because I've never done a full build before just tinkering and replacing parts lol But ever since watching that crazy horse build as a kid I've wanted to build one too. I love the looks of those old broncos. I can't remember the name of the old military truck you built but that one was sweet too. We have a couple old Deuce and halfs that we are going to sell and start saving up looks like the foundation for some great father son bonding.

Your story about you and your dad reminds me of me and my dad. I saw this old rusty truck and fell in love with it. My dad always said what a “rusty piece of crap” it was but still didn’t shoot down the idea of me getting it for my 1st vehicle. I was 14 when the owner decided he had to give it away or scrap it and he didn’t have the heart to scrap it. I got it and had to get it street legal again. Needed tires, brakes, hole in the floor repaired, and much more to be safe for the road. I still have this truck and yet again it’s not on the road and your show inspires me to go work on it. Just money is short at the moment so I’m in the planning fase. Not sure exactly what I’d like to do. Go back oem, light customizing, or full build. The truck is a 1988 Ford Ranger.

I couldnt agree more with Stacey about what separates gearheads from car people. Gearheads daily drive a 2001 4cyl camry all while planning, buying, and putting a turbo on it knowing full well they have a 500hp machine in the driveway already because why not? It's just what we do. BTW, i was in Wyotech at the Laramie Campus back in 03 and 04 when you came there, I never got a chance to meet you but it was still cool being a fan.

Also know the more you build it up the more maintenance the engine will need.

Anybody know of a reputable crate engine company beside oem

If you want a bone stock unit with a warranty I'd say Jasper. My only other experience with crate engines was with a 347 stroker from Blueprint it was a complete unit broke in ready to go. Customer has had zero trouble with the engine and it's been almost 5 years now. It did have issues but it was due to the sniper efi so I can't hold that against the engine builder.
