The Juke is a pretty ‘marmite car’ at best of times, I think this Nismo RS version could be even more polarising! Please like 👍 Comment ✍️ Subscribe 🔔 Instagram 📷 shifting_metal Thanks for watching 🙏🏼
You make it sound like it's just a styling exercise, It's not, the Nismo RS has a stiffened body shell (this is why you will never see a Nismo RS with a sunroof) bigger wheels, bigger uprated brakes, uprated suspension, uprated engine components (Forged pistons/rods etc) Electronic LSD and MUCH more power, I've owned mine for 7 years since new and have only had an issue with torque steer at very low speeds, really can't understand how you could describe it as boring ?? I've had V8 Jags and V6 Alfas and the Juke Nismo RS is so much more fun to drive
I've enjoyed one for 6 years and it doesn't torque steer with the traction control switched off. Plus it handles way better especially with good rubber
@@ShiftingMetal yeah a lot of the time it’s to do with suspension mounts, bushes and ball joints all being worn that create the torque steer n give it a hard pull left. Had a dealership try rip me off with one saying it’s just how the car should be so went n test drove the one I brought n it was no where near that. Have a look at those 3 things as they’re normally the biggest causes of it!
Quite an easy way of reducing tourque steer In rs's is by turning off traction control, it drastically reduces the tourque steer, and there's not much tire slippage just normal driving
I just got a 2017 nismo rs and I love this little car. My last 2 cars was a mini and an mr2, and I like this one the best. Reminds me a lot of my ex's cooper s, but a little taller. very agil little car, and more cargo space than most the cars in this size range.
Good and honest review. Owned one for 14 months, was disappointing overall. + the seats + I liked the styling + the manual gearbox felt really good - interior quality (gear knob, alcantara on steering wheel & seats were very worn after 95.000km (+-60.000 miles)) - never really felt fast - very noisy on highway/motorway - useless boot space (the interior cover was also broken after 2 years...)
Had one for around a year. Stage 1 remapped. Was fun to drive, however it did cost a fair bit on juice to run. Have to say on the torque steering, it caught me out once and the car was nearly sideways before turning into it. Really had to pander around corners. Miss the car, but just wasn't practical enough especially with fuel costs currently.
Handling is like a boat with the standard nismo RS suspension, the car doesn’t give you any confidence to corner quickly, engine runs out of steam high in the rev range, seating position is horrible, choose carefully before purchasing
If you’re looking to buy one, test drive first, driving position - performance- build quality is crap, handling is ropey, torque steer is horrific, honestly these are not great
Incorrect mate, recaros were optional extras, a couple grand of I remember rightly. FWD RS's came stock with LSD's and of course 218 hp, not all rs's cam with racaros, ours certainly doesn't, same goes with tech pack
Awful car with awful performance Well overrated, standard suspension is terrible, feels like a boat on the corner with poor steering wheel feedback, it’s just a juke with a turbo engine, that’s all
@@issachunt4743 That just goes to show that you have no idea what you are talking about, Just a wind-up merchant trying to get a reaction, life is short, maybe you should find something more constructive to do with your time ? No point responding to your crap from this point on.
