Thank you for a nice overview of what this leccy vehicle can and cannot do. I suspect 90 percent (or more?) of our local car owners will be excluded from the market for most new EVs in our local market. The fortunate thing for most local car owners is we're driving on heavily subsidised diesel and petrol which makes it a lot more affordable to own and operate an ICE. Taking that into account, EVs may never really take off locally given the high entry price points. Also when you take into consideration a big percentage of potential owners stay in luxury high rise condominiums with almost no support for charging infra and it is, a niche product for the well-to-do to show off their new toy. I would hazard to predict that the EV market locally will collapse since the residual value of EVs will mirror that of cutting edge cellphones which gets outdated the moment you walk out the shop with one. Likewise for EVs, when consumers come to their senses finding out that their EVs hold significantly less value than an ICE of comparable vintage. An exact parallel to this would be your smart watch against a mechanical swiss wristwatch, will you still be wearing the electronic gadget a decade from now?
Hi Hann, Thank you for your explanation. I have one question, if the EV battery has to replace after the warranty, May I know approximately how much to replace the EV battery, kindly advise. Thanks
