I’ve driven both here in the UK. The Atto 3 did nothing for me. No emotional connection at all. And TERRIBLE wind noise above 110 Kph. Wile the Dolphin is on the same platform it is a MUCH nicer car. I agree with everything you say. It is actually a great car. Spacious. Well built. Fast. Economical. Well specified. Much nicer looking than the Atto 3. Very comfortable. It’s a perfect car.

Completely agree! I have the dolphin. Absolutely love it, compared to my old mg4, Niro and cupra born it shines in all areas! I have the urban grey model

@@peterarmstrong3853 I have had my extended range in Thailand for 9 days now. Slowly I find new things and little touches that increase my admiration for this little gem. A lot of criticisms are often just ignorance of the reviewers who dont spend enough time living with it. Everyone found thoughtful feature like seat ventilation, sunglasses holder, sporty steering, sporty brakes, wing mirror down side led lights for reversing illumination at night. Lots more stuff to find I am sure .. Oh just found the voice command. Brilliant for no touch control of air con and windows. Often a complaint of poor reviews...oh i dont like using the screen for aircon blah blah.

BYD are doing really well in Australia, wont be long before Tesla and BYD are the big 2 manufacturers left as we all move to EV world.

There are more than 10 Ev Brands from china. The competition is not just btw tesla and byd, even for australia.

I love my UK dolphin. I had the ling longs changed and those tyres are shocking! I much prefer the dolphin over my old cupra born, mg4 and niro.0-60 with hankooks on cold 5 deg round was 6.4 which is impressive!

Dolphin is a fantastic car as you have mentioned it could be better than any car in its segment. Iif you are a fan of BYD try the Seal Performance at 3.8 seconds 0-100km its an experience you wont forget!!

Very nice small car. Btw, I suggest that you try using a wireless mic in the future, such as DJI mic, for better and more convenient reception.

HI, I will pick up my Dolphin this week. I have a question about home charging which I plan on doing most of the time from a standard socket in my garage. How long is the BYD charging cable? I think I would need it to be about 5-7 meters to reach from my socket to the charging port? Have you ever used an extension lead to charge yours? I understand that a standard house hold extension would most likely overheat? Do you have any experience with charging with heavy duty extension leads?

Hi Daniel, Dolphin is a great car you will love I think its Byds best car. Byd charger has 5 metre cable and is very slow, 8 Amp charger, which I don't bother using. You can get 10 Amp charger for 25 % faster charging times which I have and use about $295, same standard power point. Car charging uses high currents so extension leads must be short and extra heavy duty thicker copper. After 10 metres they will reduce your charging speed due to voltage loss.

Good review , what seal model are you buying , I had a look at both cars the other day , and like you l really liked the dolphin over the seal , seal seems a large car absolutely beautiful inside and out just a bit large for around town

I am interested in Seal Dynamic as the price is so low $51K that it can be compared with Dolphin and Atto 3

I wish I fit in it as I do like it but I'm the same height as you 6'4" but obviously different ratio of legs to torso for me. Mind you I probably need to check it out in a lot more detail again as it was only brief look I got with it.
