Should you buy GEAR or Non- Gear Bicycle?? 

When I was young, I have Cycle so I want a byk to ride. But now I am grown up and I have a Byk. So now I want Cycle to keep myself Fit

It depends on where and what level you are riding as a mountain biker the gear system is the best version of cycles and a nongear system is good for the place where u ride.

There is a problem with geared cycles, we can't find mechanics who can repair them, if we get stuck in middle of the road. Normal mechanic can repair non-geared cycle easily. 👍

I have a 6 year old Hercules Roadeo, which I have serviced only thrice in it's life, and it works perfectly. No huge problems with geared cycle. :)

I purchased ATLAS geared Duro Shox at 7800 and from the beginning 1st gear wasn't working after 6-7 months while riding I changed to 1st gear and immediately the gear shifter broke since then my cycle is getting new problems. My opinion is if you have a budget 5k-10k buy a non geared good cycle and if more than 10k then go for gears because low quality gears don't work properly after a year or so. Thanks!!

As I child in the late 1980s I remember people cycling unimaginable (in todays scenario) distances on non geared cycles , roadsters like Phillip's , BSA ,Hercules and Atlas

i would prefer a non gear cycle because the roads in my city are flat and i use my bike for riding on the road and not on a mountain or a hill

gears increase the torque. Freewheel in a fixed gear cycle is at almost the center of of the wheel which reduce the torque. that's very simple, if you wanna to stunts, need a variation of torque ratios then buy a geared bicycle. But if you want that just for basic things for low budjet, you should go for non gear. There's a bit difference that makes a huge impact

Between Gear and Non-Gear I will always suggest Geared. You can always NOT shift and maintain a single speed. But times when you need geared help you will not be left wanting.

Best cycle is non gear it not need service monthly for gears and we don't wanna go to flyover or mountain so i decided to buy non gear but with good quality like disk break and etc Edit after a month. Its so good to buy non gear worth to buy

Up until today all the gear cycles I have bought ran into problems after 1 month , gear cycles require adjustments of derailleurs and if u don’t have any knowledge on this and if ur using local bicycle shops , they can drive u crazy if the derailleurs are not configured properly, this is my own experience with gear cycles, now I have learnt how to adjust derailleurs and maintain them , so no issues.

we can purchase gear cycle...but the issue is all about it's servicing. My brother purchased for ₹13k in 2015-16. ALmost after every week, he used to go for servicing. Finally, i mum sold to our maid and saved 2 month's maid cost.

I heard in snyper 221, the gap between the wall and gear is small... It's chain constantly touching the side wall in lower gear which creats a sound in the chain.. Plz clarify?

Cycle don't have gears. What they give you us multiple sprockets either on both front and rear points or only in one of the points. There is a fundamental difference between gear and sprocket. Any pair of sprocket of different diameters will provide a speed ratio but that doesn't make them gears.
