Alvaro Rojas I’ve met some. Oled has a cycle that can’t be seen unless with a camera, but it makes some people nauseous after a bit. Some also prefer the colour of LCDs. Anyway, good to have options.
I couldn’t live without 3D Touch. I also watch films at night and don’t like lcd screens in the dark as the blacks look grey. I’m keeping my x and upgrading next year.
Thhalyya Maartynez it’s been replaced with Haptic Touch so the Xr has basically got it now. Just where you press harder on the screen on an app and u get more options, it’s a long press now.
Dont forget iphone X is a future investment, because OLED will benifit a lot in battery saving, when Dark Mode comes to iOS and in more apps too. XR its going to take a beat because of the LCD on iOS 13 for sure, my choice iPhone X for the future its going to benefit me more.
If you’ve never owned an iPhone/ newer galaxy before than I’d suggest starting with an iPhone 6s Plus to see how you like it, & then consider getting an 8 Plus or XS max
I had the iPhone XS Max for a week and went to AT&T and seen the XR and exchanged it for a 128GB Product Red iPhone XR and I’m so glad I did.. it fits better in the hand, has a better battery, same A12 Bionic Chip, and I was surprised by how good the LCD screen was, oh and I saved over 400 dollars.. iPhone XS Max obviously has a better screen but it’s not 400 dollars better
In my opinion the iPhone X is better. Just from Screen standpoint all the other things are close or you won’t even notice. But things you will notice is your screen and build quality. All iPhones 5s and up are still fast. And the chip in xr being future proof is kinda moot. The iPhone X is pretty future proof and most people will upgrade before it’s not supported anymore.
I’m stuck on how one can say “you get more screen on the X, well actually it’s a little smaller”... it is smaller and it has less bezel because it has an Oled display, 3D Touch not a major selling point, and the XR has the best battery out of ALL iPhones available on the market. Since the XR also has a newer A12 chip in the long run it will actually last longer with less slow down. And those prices you’re mentioning aren’t across the board. My carrier still charges over $900 for an X, and I can’t justify spending $500/600 on a used phone with no warranty through Apple or my Carrier.
got 6s still feels pretty snappy not convinced to pay 750$ (basically 800$ cuz it’s only 50$ for 128gb upgrade) for Xr missing OLED panel the reason it’s a major drawback is almost all android phones ditched LCDs many years ago apple was late in the transformation to OLED yet good they made it to OLED now they wanna give us LCD again and that’s a phone that’s supposed to stay for 4-5 years in my pocket truly shameful, at least they could’ve made it a 1080p panel but no and i don’t know why many youtubers say the difference isn’t big between this screen and X, Xs screens it’s very huge when they r put side by side in videos Xr screen looks so dim and X screen looks vivid and shiny

i will pick x. I really can feel different between screen. X is more comfortable. But a12? No, I just can’t feel the different. Trust me, a11 is enough for few years. For me, that lcd screen even worse than 8 plus, it’s unacceptable. And why apple discontinued x? Because people will give up Xs and xr both If x price go down. The different between xs and x not worth for that much money too.
xr is better. comes in many different colors, and is faster. The iphone x has terrible battery life, and actually is less durable than the xr. Don't let the steel frames fool you.

I'm upgrading from an SE to a XR so right behind ya buddy!!! The XR isn't really a bad phone. Going from a 4in phone to 6.1in is a huge jump. Plus it's still cheaper with Verizon compared to the X if you go with the device payment option. Blue 128GB iPhone XR all the way for me!!!

Incoming In-depth and honest review, Iphone XR is better than the X in more prevalent ways such as battery life, performance, larger screen and its cheaper! However if you need the dual camera (telephoto lens to zoom), 3d touch and oled screen then fair enough, choose the Iphone X. I am going to debate about the pros and cons of each device. Onto the most debated downside of the XR (the display) - Honestly the XR's display is just perfect, its a balance between performance and a beautiful display, why waste cpu, gpu and ram on a display which you wont being able to tell the difference from at normal viewing distance, eventhough i agree that OLED displays do look much more crisp and vibrant but cmon seriously you are not going to stick your face onto the screen while using your phone so you wont be able to tell the difference as much. I prefer the balance of the LCD screen, not forgetting to mention XR has the best LCD screen on market right now and Apple its known for making the best LCDs, but the same cannot be said for the OLED screens because Apple started using them just a year ago compared to LCDs which they have used since the start. This allows Apple to mitigate the downsides on LCD screens, such as not having deeper blacks to an extent that you wont even notice if the XR is an OLED screen or not, however since Apple is new to the OLED technology, they are not able to mitigate the downsides of OLED displays to the extent they are able to do so with their LCDs, so maybe in the future once Apple can get used to OLED technology, then we can agree that OLED is superior to LCD but as of now overall, Apples LCD display is better than its OLED displays, when factoring in performance, cost of repairing and the display itself. To be frank, the Iphone XR's camera is also better than the X, its just that the X has an extra camera who's job is to just zoom without losing picture quality which may not be a big deal to most people since some people dont zoom anyway as it still means you're losing picture quality, its just not as much compared to a single camera. So if you're a person who uses the phones camera alot to zoom on pictures go with the X, if you do not zoom as much go with XR as it has a single better camera. Weve seen Google Pixel prove how the single camera can be the best camera in a phone on the market. Moreover, the 3d touch is not a big deal breaker also, most people do not use it, and even if you do use it, the XR has haptic feedback which can replicate 3d touch, maybe right now its not to the extent you would like, but in the future with software updates, expect the haptic feedback to get much better to the point its literally the same as 3d touch, more or less. To conclude, the draw backs of the Iphone XR is negligible, however this cannot be said for the Iphone X. Not forgetting to mention the XR would be supported an extra year since its a newer device, this is important for those who uses their phone for around 4-5 years, the A12 processor also extends the longevity of the XR. Both phones also feel very premium in the hand, one doesnt feel more premium than the other, especially now that the X is now £800 instead of £1000. The XR's pricing can be still high at £750 but atleast it can justify itself more than the other Iphones since you see a big positive difference in battery life, bigger display for those who likes media/gaming content and the A11 processor in the X is the best in the market beating snapdragon 845 and kirin 980, so of course the A12 on the XR is going to be way better than all processors for another 1.5 years to come.
though it may sound comforting, i still find the lemons in getting iphone xr. don't get me wrong, i came from iphone-android- iphone. i used mi 8 and all i can say, it features more functions than an ios. before i'm so excited to own an iphone. now, it felt i got scammed from a posh phone. it's like a downgrade of quality of apple.
That inferior phone XR is not that cheap. A phone made of plastic is 25%off from regular XS model. The price of inferior phone XR is even more expensive than the latest high end Note9 with advanced features that iphone owners can only dream.

If I had to choose I’d say iPhone X, it looks so premium and the display matters to me. The iPhone XR is pretty but it’s bulky and heavy. I prefer small phones but I like the dredge to edge screen design. Also the dual lens camera is so pretty! I’ll get an iPhone XS wallpaper for my iPhone lol

I went for the xr. Coming from a Samsung screen I see a difference but I am not disappointed at all! Yes, the blacks aren't as deep and it's not quite as sharp but if they aren't side by side you can't even tell! It's a good screen!
Gabriel Torres I got mine a few days ago and I gotta say, it’s pretty amazing. People need to calm down about the display it can run 1080p at 60fps and I can’t tell the difference from the pixel other than its a lot more sharp. Expect to have this baby last all day even when you don’t have it at a full 100%. Don’t charge it overnight just charge it before you sleep and you’ll lose 15-17 percent over a span of 9 hours when you’re asleep. This phone is worth it dude. If display is the equivalent of God to you then I would get the XS or the X but you won’t be able to tell unless you have it side to side.
Jam Maldonado Id stick with upgrading to the iPhone 1st gen the iPhone 2 is a little bit too expensive at the moment. I’d wait for the iPhone 12 to come out before you even think about getting the iPhone 2.
I think XR because: - It is a little bit bigger. (Although it has the resolution aprox. 720p) - Some people do not need two cameras. - XR has the advanced Face ID. - Aluminum doesn't scratch as easy. - More colors. X for: - OLED. - 3D Touch. - Almost full bezel.
Stain less steel is way better than aluminum, face I'd technology is still basically the same, iPhone x has two cameras in which today's standards majority of people want
you are wrong about the camera bit, stainless steel likes better but id take aluminium anyday coz it doesnt scratch up so much and yeah face id is pretty much the same@@Amrit_SZN
Not really a fair comparison though because your new XR will be pristine and come with a warranty, whereas a used one might not be covered if there’s an issue with the phone and will most likely have some battery degradation or cosmetic issues like minor scratches or chips.
I'm a XS Max owner, but between the X and the XR, I'd stick with the X. The display and build quality are superior in my opinion. I guess it just comes down to personal preference.
I prefer LCD to OLED, but I want crispier and all around better screen than one on my 6s. Also, 3D Touch is pretty valuable to me. I love XR's battery life but the screen... I think I'm gonna go with the X.

Just switched from the 6S to the XR last night. What a leap. So many things to get used to. But i have to say, i'm not as bothered about the notch as i though i would be. It just disappears in the background. Oh and faceID is actually a breeze. I thought i'd hate it, but it's a godsend. Loving the XR so far!
Here’s the fact..iPhone X had made a equal ram that is 3GB ram for both, but differ from the chip development..the iPhone X had iOS 11 version in its devices while the iPhone XR has iOS 12 on its devices..

I like the iPhone X (10). It the right size for my large hands. The Xr is larger. X is fast and beautiful. It is the Tenth Anniversary of iPhone. The X (10) number is used up and will not be another like it. It's now a collectible, if you can find one, I recommend it.

@@someguy3595 I wouldn't do that if I were you. If you're contemplating upgrading your iPhone X, I would consider the XS/XS Max. From X to XR just isn't worth it in my opinion, unless you're eager for a longer lasting battery, but you're giving away the OLED screen, the more compact size (the XR has bigger bezels and is also thicker) and 3d touch.
Brian G.P I never really used 3D Touch, and Oled was nice but lcd can compete way above oled solely by the fact that apple has had more experience with this screen. One thing I am missing out on is portrait on objects which I miss dearly, but this is me replying from my XR
I used both before. I prefer the size of iphone xr though it is a little thick compared to the x. If you want better camera quality, louder speakers and great battery life, choose the xr but both will be a great choice.
New, the iPhone X is $899 for the 64 GB model. I can get a 128 GB XR for $799. Yeah, you can find an X used for about the same price, but buyer beware. I go for new. The only thing I think the X has going for it is the smaller footprint.
I️ got the iPhone XR because I️ saw a video about why the XR is better. The bezels won’t matter after a while. The XR is newer/faster because of the A12 chip. The display is bigger and when they were together the display looked the same. Also I️t comes in cool colors and the camera is reallly good for the price. That’s just my opinion
Of course iPhone X.. the XR don’t have 3D Touch and it have the same pixels of iPhone 4 and it look more ugly with the bigger notch and its a little more expensive then the iPhone X and doesn’t deserve the price and also iPhone XS Max it’s such disappointment for the plus series it doesn’t have the allot display like we use to its just a bigger size from the x I’m not saying they are that bad they have some little more upgrades that not really that big but doesn’t deserve that price... and in my opinion I think the iPhone 8 Plus and IPhone X are the perfect iPhones now with not that high value almost perfect price for them anyway that my opinion for an iOS devices fan.
