It took me a minute as well. It's really simple once you figure it out. I'll see if I can easily explain this without voice inflection. Take a deep breath or two and don't get frustrated. 😊 I turned the handle part upside down. You'll see the trap door that holds the dust , etc...facing up towards the ceiling..I balanced it on my lap while I did this. (The on/off button will be on your right side while you're holding it like this.) Find the button on the inside of the handle and press in on that button. (It's not the on/off button) While you're pressing that button in twist/turn the main part to the left with your left hand. You will see that part "unlock" on top. To put it back in place press the silver button in again and twist to right to lock. I hope this helps!!! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻😊
Agree with the others… don’t buy. After using once a week… the battery now lasts 3 minutes on high. Bought it Black Friday of 2022 and you can’t get a replacement battery. It worked well for 6 months… then downhill after that.
Do not buy anything from Prettycare, they are refusing to honor the warranty and offer you to pend more money on their product rather than fix or exchange or provide a refund.
Don’t buy!! Ours broke after 11 months and even if it was in theory still under warranty prettycare said they couldn’t do anything about it because the Amazon policy for replacement was only for the first 30 days from the purchase. Absolute rubbish!
