**UPDATE** April 2023
Long story short: Shortly after this video was posted. I ended up getting an exchange and got another wig as a replacement. The new wig seems to be better quality overall than the first wig. I did burn the hair strands on the new wig and it seems all good for the new wig.
Hairvivi did see this video so I don't know If that made a difference on the quality of the new wig I received but they did offer to refund or do an exchange on the wig. I took the exchange.
Now as stated in the video, I have no clue If I did this test right as I only Googled the test and am not a professional. Someone in the comments stated it could just be the chemicals on the wig making it act weird when I burned it so I don't know.
Hopefully I get around to doing a video update someday.
For anyone that subscribed, I appreciate it but I probably won't be doing any more wig videos other than the mentioned follow up update video. So please feel free to unsubscribe.
I will leave this video up as I still feel the same about that first wig I received but will edit the title.
I do want to see more accountability in the wig/extension industry. Scientific reports of their hair being from actual humans, where they get their hair from, ect

I appreciate your honesty and the update. I’m a multi hairvivi wig wearer and am not an influencer. They have been good to me and have wigs that last with proper care. It’s the best quality ready to wear, excellent lace for the price. Thanks for sharing your experience. ❤

I’m a regular person and I have 13 Hairvivi Wigs… The wigs are good quality they last for years… with proper care, for example, I don’t sleep in my wigs I condition my wigs I store them in plastic bags…etc… definitely a reputable company when you call them. You have to call them at 1 o’clock in the morning US time our nights are their Days… they always answer the phone which I really appreciate they will tell you exactly what’s going on with your order .The one time I did have a problem with one of the wigs. It was the density. It was a little thin. I called them, sent them pictures and they gave me a $30 off coupon for my next purchase. I was satisfied because the wigs are really really nice. every time I do the burn test it’s real hair. I didn’t test every wig. I probably tested four wigs. I hope this helps you with your decision to purchase from Hairvivi…❤❤❤

Thank you for doing this video. I do think a lot of the wigs that wig companies claim to be 100% human hair is actually a blend. I wear wigs both human and synthetic and one thing I can say about both is that after wearing them for awhile the back always tangled up and looks like a bird nest. I really don’t know any person actual hair that tangles like that. My hair length is pass my shoulders and when it rubs against my shirt it doesn’t bunch up like a birds nest. This is why I would never buy a human hair wig more than $200.

I've purchased 3 Hairvivi wigs. I love all of them. I've had 2 of them for 4 years and wear them regularly. They look and behave amazingly. I love their wigs. I am just a regular person with no relationship with that company.

You are absolutely right but unfortunately most influences chose monetary gain over an honest review. They allow companies such as this one to dupe consumers out of their hard earned money.

@@nmg2562 I totally agree that some influencers know the ill practices of these companies, but can't see past their monetary gain, however there are those who just are not aware. I, personally, do not like to see any women of culture support or sponsor these companies who are known for blocking black owned beauty suppliers from selling to our own. It literally irritates me that we have become vessels for them to capitalize off our ppl.

I tested mine by bleaching a small section of hair in the back. After the hair sat saturated in bleach for almost 30 minutes, there were several strands that remained black/dark brown. There’s only one explanation for this…Save your money and look elsewhere.

Trust me I understand what you’re saying because I’ve gone through this for years. The last wigs I have tried were Freedom Couture wigs who sells her wigs for over 1k. Once in a blue moon she will have a sale that will make the wigs half off. 2 years in and they still have worked well. But it’s a hard price to get your head around. I get it!

I was going to try them because I see all of these videos on here stating the hair is amazing. Now I will not, I too am scared to spend over 500.00 and then find out it is not human hair. Thanks for the video.😐

I recently purchased a wig from them and my experience was not good. I ended up returning it but still haven’t received my refund nor have they responded to my emails….

Hi, I’ve made 4 purchases from Hairvivi and had to return some myself. Depending on the shipping method you chose, it will take some time before you get a refund. I chose the cheapest shipping method (as they recommended) and it cost me $50 to send the wig back. I didn’t get my refund until 3 months later.

I believe you girl. I paid 300 and some change for a wig name Clover. The wig is now trash there is no way the wig I purchase is 100% Human

Good for you girl! The "influencers" get the perfect remi hair wig. Their review may be honest but the rest of us get dog hair if the company is crooked. 400 bucks is a heckalot money for plastic blend! I spent 400 bucks on a UU wig because an influencer reviewed a gorgeous wig. But when i got the UU i changed the name to POOPOO because that was THEE worst wig of my life. Knotted up like hair on a dog with mange. I couldnt get a brush through with a gun to my head. Ive never seen anything like this. I tried saving it and after weeks of conditioning i was willing to PAY some one 400 dollars to take that wig to the edge of town and kill it! Shame on these scammers. Oh...and when you see 2000 reviews all 5 star for a wig on Amazon...they got paid off..i know cuz they tried to do it to me. You can get a really nice long hair lace front wig for 200 or less...sometimes even 125.

Thank you so much for this. Given how most hair is sourced chances are no wig is 100% human hair. It’s just not possible statistically for companies to keep up with the demand. Hair grows way slower than the demand for it so I’m just not shocked. I’m definitely not buying synthetic wigs at their prices. Hair Vivi does pluck and bleach the hair for you which is what you’re essentially paying for but I’m going to look for a cheaper company

I'm sorry you had a bad experience. I have 6 wigs from them and I haven't had any problems . I've own them for years and one I wear literally everyday. I just got a new one, I'm going to do some research and do the same.

Me 2 I have many wigs from them and I think they have the best hairline and I thought they were affordable. I usually buy my human hair wigs from Magic Hair Company located in Colvert City California and their hair quality is amazing but they don’t have the preplucked hairline and I’m terrible at plucking.and they r way more expensive but well worth the cost

I know exactly how you feel because they did the seem shit to me and I live in the Bahamas 🇧🇸 . These Hair ambassadors don’t care cause they getting paid to lie. I’ve even try to Oder wigs from a black owned company and that didn’t get very far🤦🏾‍♀️

So strange- because my ones from Hairvivi are absolut great in quality and real human hair. But i payed 600 dollars for them. The best wigs I ever had. So I cant understand this

The testing method used is not enough to determine if the hair is not human hair. Many hair vendors coat the hair in silicones and other perserving treatments. I’m not sure why you are disappointed $400 dollars is not a lot for a good quality wig if you want pure virgin human hair then you will pay well over $1000 dollars

Unfortunately, legally if even one strand of hair in the wig is 100% human hair the company can make the claim that it is a 100% human hair wig. 😔

Where did you get this info? They advertise their wigs as 100% virgin, human hair and they definitely are not.

@@Flumely If you Google it I read the same thing legally it only has to be I think 70 or 80% human in order for them to say 100% human hair which makes no sense but I read that

This is a true statement. They can make the claim. 100% human hair only indicates the certainty of the one strand. So let’s say the wig has one 100% strand of hair that is virgin human hair. Then that would make it a 100% virgin human hair wig even though the remaining strands are synthetic. Or let’s say it like this it is a wig made of 100% virgin human hair. You see how they finesse the words? They lie by omission because they fail to tell you that the remaining strands of hair (besides the one virgin strand) are 100% synthetic mainly because when people think of a wig they count it as a whole. This is how they market their product to gain a profit. I certainly appreciate this review because this has been going on for as long as I can remember. I can’t tell you how many packs of hair and wigs etc… I’ve bought in 22 years that say 100% human hair and it’s mixed with plastic.

Human hair wigs simply are a hoax if they are being sold for less than $1,000 per unit. Even then can be a gamble! Sorry you had that kind of experience when you were expecting good quality for how much you paid! I'm noticing a lot of false information from these wig companies and it's simply unfortunate. how do you know it wasnt because of a product on the wig, they style it before sending it out to ship. Maybe wash the hair strands, let dry and see what happens again with the experiement.

Yes, I do expect that those companies lie but... I'm just thinking that even if the hair is human hair they are still processed hair. They put a lot of products in human hair ( that's why they usually smell bad ). That could be an explanation but I don't know... Btw, why human hair is soo expensive when we know that those companies pay pennies to the hair owners? Xx

It looks like you got a synthetic blend. Also yak's hair mimics human hair texture but burns like a plastic. I would definitely contact your card company and present your evidence to receive your money back. If they did it to you they've done it to others. Make attempts to return the wig even though its past the return period. They breach their contract when they provided a product that was other than advertised. Good luck.
