I Like Mine! I Still Wish They Drop An Update That Would Allow More Use Of Things Like The Play Series Intruments! I Have Plenty Expansions! I Still End Up Swapping Sounds And Finishing A Beat On The Computer!
Hey thank you for commenting!🙏🏾 The Plus lacks a lot of the instruments that comes with the Maschine Software. You can still do pretty much everything on the hardware in standalone mode though.
maschine+ was never intended to be a daw in a box - what most people think/thought. its a sampler with groovebox-features and with amazing resampling features. its not supposed to run 10 vsts at the same time plus fx-plugins, etc. - also I never had any of theses problems. make sure you use a professional fast sd-card - will solve all the hickups while loading a project while another projects plays. also a new big stability update is coming this week.
I like the maschine plus!!! Its like 2 units in one ☝🏾!!! Maschine plus & Maschine mk3 @ the same time. You can use it standalone if you alway from the lab, an when you in the lab you can finish what you’ve left off from in the standalone mode. Etc!!!!!
I'm thinking about grabbing a Plus because I already own an MK2 and I'm tired of all the problems I've been having with computers. I'm a standalone guy myself. I also have the MPC One Retro so a Plus would make my Dawless setup complete.
Hey thanks for commenting! Yea the Maschine Plus definitely a beast when it works. I honestly love all Native instruments hardware and instruments. I’ve just had this issue that set me back with the Plus. Again thanks for commenting 🙏🏾
I love my maschine plus but I cannot disagree with this. NI really missed the whole point of a stand alone - portability. I use it daily, and I use the “stand alone” when making beats, but it’s plugged in and sitting on a desk. I could easily do that with the mk3. While the build is nicer, and studier the 700 dollar price difference is not worth it. We’ll see what future updates look like but I’m guessing the maschine plus won’t be really hitting until the second version
Thanks for commenting. I couldn’t agree with you more! Literally I have the exact same workflow. I use the standalone mode but it’s plugged in my studio 99% of the time. If they add a built in recharging Battery and a small speaker to the Maschine Plus MK2 it would be a game changer for me.
@@creativedwill exactly - and give us some more processing power and full folder structure for external drives…. I’m wondering if they are going to pare it with komplete now to provide the ability to use more synths and effects via wifi. That would kind of suck for me as I have ultimate 13 so id rsther just have more processing power and internal storage but we’ll see. I’m a maschine head for life, and chopping samples is my therapy
@nick I’m a maschine head for life as well! Yea the full folder structure would make life so much easier. I would like to see them allow the whole Komplete bundle via an external Hard drive. That is wishful thinking though. Good stuff man we need to connect. We are on the same page lol
@@creativedwill You and your friend on the phone just made me subscribe and I don't even own a machine never have but I do own an MPC X and a MPC 5000 as well as a DR5. What I love the most about you two on the phone is the honesty about the product that's what counts is the truth about a product
@@johnniejackson3154 Thank you so much For Commenting!🙏🏾 I definitely want to start investing in the MPC hardware. I’m thinking of getting a the MPC live. They are adding a lot of amazing features! Yea I want to be real and honest and what I would really do and buy on this channel. That organic normal talk. If you ever want to join in on the Channel and be apart of the conversation I would be more than willing to set that up😁 Thanks again for Subscribing and follow me on IG so we can connect.
Awesome video. I was lucky enough to cop the Maschine + for $888 used in great condition from GC cause it was missing software which I already had from MK2 but I'm still about to return this thing. I used it non stop in standalone for a month straight just to be sure and everything I made in standalone reminds me of the beats I use to make back when I purchased MK2 brand new cause of how badly limited the standalone instruments are. I have Komplete 13 - maybe woulda felt different with Ultimate 🤷♂
Thank you commenting! 🙏🏾Yea I think without the expansion packs I would go for the MK3. I rarely use the standalone feature but it’s cool to have. You got a pretty good deal though on the price!
@@creativedwill Mannnn the good deal is part of what makes me wanna not let it go back! I can't let that be my reason though lol. 2nd hand MK3 definitely gona happen though cause now I'm use to the screens and event editing. Appreciate ya! 🙏🙏
You are a little bit missleading people when you say that you bought the Plus because of Komplete 13. You can' t use all instruments of Komplete in Maschine Plus in standalone mode. Only a few of them older ones like Massive, Monark and a few others were ported to work with the Plus in standalone mode. You can use the whole instruments of Komplete 13 only in conjunction with Maschine Software on your computer. So, if you work a lot with Komplete then the MK3 ist the way to go and you will save a ton of 💸💸💸
Sorry for the miss understanding. You are correct, you can not use Komplete 13 instruments in the plus. I got the Komplete 13 ultimate collectors edition, with all of the expansion packs. That is what makes it worth it, because you can use all of the expansion packs. I believe I mentioned that in the video. Also I believe I said if you have the funds I wouldn’t buy the plus I would buy the Mk3 and take the additional funds and buy a Komplete bundle. What makes the Maschine Plus power is the expansion packs not the Komplete bundle. If you don’t have the expansions I wouldn’t buy the Plus.
@@creativedwill Yeah, you' re right. All the expansions can be used in standalone mode. Honestly, I don' t know if the expansions justify buying the Plus. I would treat it in standalone like it is supposed to be, a sampling device. Following the footprints of classic grooveboxes like the MPCs. NI expansions deliver quality stuff for sure, but chances are that so many people use the exact same sounds, which I tend to find a little bit boring. But that' s just my personal opinion and when you tweak the sounds or manipulate them you can get totally different things out of it. But If you are heavily into sample packs and soundlibraries I guess working with the computer is the more efficient way, so the MK3 would be the wiser choice imho. As long as you are not leaving your studio to play live or collaborate with other musicans the Plus isn' t a big deal.
@@creativedwill You' re welcome! I' ve been rockin' the Maschine MK3 for almost 4 years and did all my releases completely on it except mastering. I then wanted to try something new and went the complete opposite route and went DAW-less. Bought a used MPC 1000 and murdered it out with all possible upgrades. I do own some hardware synths, too and combine that with sampling. When i got my basic beat goin' I track everything into Cubase. Time consuming since the MPC 1000 can not export stems but the less features set keeps me focused while creating. Sometimes I miss the features of Maschine, though. So I was thinking of maybe going back to it. There are good deals on the MK3 available. I sold mine after not using it when I got the MPC 1000. What do you think?
They need to add linear automation curves for drops/buildups , specifically add it to clips so you can drag the automation perfectly in clips view .pass this idea down to them please idk what they smoking at native inst , I wish they’d comeback with smth new already besides hustling random kontakt inst for 1k$ on the side 😭
Hey thank you for commenting!!🙏🏾 Man these are some amazing ideas. I wish I had that kinda pull at NI to pass these ideas along. Maybe they will watch this video and make some changes, you never know! Again thanks for you comment!!😊
Definitely, NOPE. This is not a product ready for production. There are a lot of issues, glitches and a lot of pending work from NI development team. I've got mine and I feel some kind of "beta tester" reporting issues to NI everyday.
@@creativedwill Hey, thank you for response! Actually, I have the "generic" feeling that this machine doesn't provide me "confidence" for a live situation. And I base my comments on different "unexpected behaviours" I noticed during the first 3 weeks of using this device. First and most disturbing: sometimes (but with a high repro rate) the system hangs when switching between projects. The screen says "busy.... loading", the music starts but you can't do anything but a hard reset. Second: If you finally can load a new project, sometimes the output sounds creepy distorted. Also, randomly, different sounds, specially high frequency ones, sounds "clipped". I totally understand this is not a quantic computer or even a MacBook Pro. But these issues happen even with the projects provided by NI which were supposedly tested. I'm not pushing the maschine to the limits. And, let's suppose that NI consider this a known issue or expected behaviour, please include this warning into the user manual. I still consider M+ as an interesting alternative to the expensive MPC Live 2, but I'm from Argentina and I've paid this USD2000, and that's the average 6 months salary of a worker... is a really big investment for the poor obtained results.
@leonardo Yea i probably wouldn’t trust in a standalone live sesssion as my only source of performance. You are right it’s too glitchy and could freeze up mid performance. Atleast from what I experienced. I will say if you have a laptop (which defeats the whole purpose of Standalone 😂) Then I would bring that for Just in case. It’s very stable while plugged in to a computer. I think there are a few things Native Instruments could fix in an update. Hopefully they will or we might have to wait to MK2 version. Hey thanks again for your honest input! 😊
Na man NI has fallen off badly Ill keep my MK3 but i think ima sell my plus …I’m bout to reunite with MPC gang and cop a live 2 …i don’t understand how it’s 4gb of ram and it’s always freezing ‘crashing …ima just use the sounds from maschine in my MPC best of both worlds for me lol i prefer MPC workflow only reason i copped maschine was the sounds and the way you can load drums
lol I can’t even lie my home boy just got the live 2 and I’m a bit jealous on all the features! I just got the SP 404 MK2 but I am definitely purchasing the live 2 as my next big purchase. Your right NI had the best sounds I believe out of any company and the Integration is phenomenal, but there are a few short comings. Finding a way to integrate their the sounds in your workflow easily is the only issue. Hopefully they will catch up in the future regarding hardware and features.
@@creativedwill yea man, I usually use it in standalone, my only trouble is simply finger drumming, lately I have just been opening expansion projects and dissecting them. I probably won’t dive into the software much until I buy a new house with extra space to have my daw set up close
@@WillieCarpenter17 One of my Main Goals for this year is to learn how to finger drum. I just signed up for Melodics about a week ago. The Expansion packs are so dope! To me it’s what make the Plus worth it. I have a few kits and sounds on my SD card but I use expansion packs 90% of the time.
Yea right now I barely use the Plus in Standalone mode. I typically just use it with the Computer. It’s pretty cool but I think there are better options as far as Standalone units go
If you had to make a choice between the Maschine + or Akai Force, which one would you chose and why? I'll go make some popcorn now as I wait for the replies. :)
lol, that Is a Good Question! I haven't personally got my hands on the Force yet, but Ima look at some videos and see what all it offers and give you my thoughts on would I switch :) Dang good question! lol, My first thought would be MACHINE 4-Life 😂, because I rock with Native Instruments Software. But Ima reframe from that and weigh the Pros and Cons of each. Do you have the Force?
The Force seems to be a monster feature-wise but also way more complicated. I haven' t used it but also watched a lot of videos on it. The integrated linear arranger is a Killer feature imho but editing a whole track on the 7" on it, idk 🤣💩
Dont buy mashcine + and the ultimate...Waste of time... you cant run ultimate on maschine+ standalone.. Limited. Software bugs.. released on a beta.. still fixing the beta..NI are going down the subscription route..
Hey thanks for commenting! I have never heard of them lol. I just looked it up and that Vintage plugin bundle looks super dope!!! Ima have to try them out. Do you have the collection?
