I bought a used IPad Pro 12.9 that came with a Zulu case. I looked up the case after I purchased the Ipad and remember thinking that I would never pay that much for a case. I was wrong. I love it.
100% love this. I wasn’t expecting to enjoy the case as much as I have, but it’s fantastic. I literally haven’t taken it off since I purchased it. Thank you for watching 👍
I love it too but I’ve just purchased an apple folio because I want to have a lighter version for my 12.9. I tend to use Zulu when I travel so I can ensure top protection, but I also needed something for when I go near my house in a cafe for example, or when I want to hold my iPad as a book in my hands in bed - so I now have both Apple folio and Zulu and I think I have all that I need😂
That’s for making this review and I make you my compliments for answering all the comments ;) that’s very kind of you! I’m pretty sure I’ll buy this Zugu case :)
I love the form and function of them I just wish they lasted longer. I’ve had 10 of them now, for 4 iPads. That equals an average of a little over 2 per iPad. So figure what that math means. I’ve had to warranty or simply replace the case for several of them. My 2 iPad Pro 12.9’s being the most. For some reason that size just doesn’t last more than about a year before the cover flap starts separating. Still, I use them exclusively because there simply is no better overall case on the market for the iPad.
That’s interesting as mine is still in great condition and I’ve used it for a couple of years now. I agree though this case is best on the market currently and every time I try another case I come back to this one
I’ve just bought a second hand Apple folio for my 12.9 to complement my Zugu cover as I needed something lighter to carry around nearby/in the cafe or in bed when I want to hold it in my hands and need something lighter. I use Zulu when I travel on the plane, etc for absolute amazing protection for my lovely iPad. So yeah, Zugu is fantastic but a bit too heavy to carry around for a 12.9. Ideal is to have both covers for me! Hope this helps!
I take my iPad Mini out of the Moshi Versa Cover on a regular basis (100 times/year) to attach it to my car mount. How easy is it to remove the iPad from the Zugu case & do you think that the attachment points are robust enough to endure this type of use over time? I ask as the Moshi faired well considering "years" of use - but the camera corner cracked open & needed some tape to keep it in tact.
Thanks for watching the video. Being honest, if you’re constantly taking the iPad out of the case, it’s not hard but certainly isn’t easy. But, with the strong magnets built into the back you should be able to mount it on a magnet mount in your car ?
@@LukeTechReviews That would be great. So you are thinking (with the front cover folded onto the back - as you do) the magnets on the case will hold itself up (in a stable manner) on a couple car mount magnets? FYI - I use the iPad as a GPS when on long trips often on rough roads - so it needs to hold without bouncing around. I am also thinking that the extra weight of the case may add extra stress to the mount.
I would not 100% say yes, but as you can see in the video I can open and close the fridge door and the case stayed on the fridge. You could always buy one, test it and if you don’t like it, return it
Great review, thank you! Can I please ask if the case magnetises to itself, if I fold the front cover round to the back fully, for example holding it like a book/kindle one handed?
Great video! Can the front cover be flipped all the way to the back, so I can use it flat on a table? Will it fit flat or will it rock depending where I touch the screen?
seems like it's made for the pencil without a grip, so it won't fit with the grip. But honestly it's not a problem to slide off the grip for charging and putting it back on afterwards.
@@LukeTechReviews I have the zugu case right now waiting for my Logitech combo touch to come so I can decide. I really like zugu too and I might keep both😂.
