Should You Buy This LEGO Delivery Truck? 

This set looks so good. It's getting really really hard to resist the purchase lol

I found it at Costco as well. Can't wait to build it. If Costco didn't have it, I would have waited for either a good Gift with Purchase or double points.

There are collectors and people that build up a little LEGO city...

I used to have the original delivery truck from 2010. Where it went I have no idea. It probably went in the attic where the rest of our Lego went. But I should probably go digging for that original delivery truck. Oddly enough I was at Costco today. And I spotted this set for $75 dollars.

I’m so excited for it! This actually means a lot more than a normal set for me and my older brother because when he was little, they had the original lego city truck at a toy store for 40 dollars, and he chose to get another set. Ever since then he regretted as it got super expensive, so this coming to out is very special and impactful to him. And it looks really good!

Just scored one for $69.99 and got a free Polaroid camera with it-amazing promo!

Man, I remember having the yellow delivery truck from around 2010, seeing this is such a cool blast from the past for me as that was one of my favourite childhood sets. Definitely picking up this one, for $80 bucks it seems like a pretty good value for money set with some nice little references while being an updated and improved version of the 2010 set. The fact this set has a mere 3 stickers is amazing, we _never_ get that many printed elements in a set so this is awesome to see, for this reason I think the price makes sense given 90% of the detailed elements are actually printed when the original 2010 version was all stickers. While I do think some more variation in the mini sets would've been nice, it's still hard to fault this one.

The old set # you talk about is 3221 and sells for around $100 used.

I got this set yesterday and the reason is that the Lego branded 4x4 tiles as with only 3 stickers for a set with 1000+ pieces

Just found mine at costco for 59.97 dollars. What a steal.

The problem I have with the price, is that it's a City set. So, mainly aimed towards kids. For $100, or even $75, it's still just a truck. Maybe a big one, but still a truck. For the same price you can get 60422, which is (part of) a harbour, a shop, a crane and a big containership. That's a lot of playability! Imo, a set like this (one truck) should never cost more than $50.

I don't usually buy lego city sets either, but this looks just cool

Found this set at my local Costco store for 74.99 - also online for 84.99 had to get one for the city!

Now they just need a mini figure scale walmart set 😂 All jokes aside that is really cool though

I would give it a 20. The hood doesn't open very well, the doors are from the 1980's and the large print pieces are not useful for anything else. Otherwise the trailer is not bad. Price is way off probably because of the printed pieces.

6:21 what kind of comparison is this? comparing a 400 dollar and 100 dollar set that arent remotely similar is kind of ridiculous and not helpful to anyone making a decision. the price for piece ratio is becoming more and more irrelevant with all the small parts included in sets now. also, licensed sets are not expensive because of licensing fees, lego spreads that cost across all products. the real reason is because since its something people recognize they can get away with upcharging because they no people will buy it no matter what. and who cares about the resale value of the figures? what does that have to do with the product.

In other words, I'm blinded by nostalgia so ai bought it

Expensive, maybe too expensive, but it doesn’t cut any corners which I love. It’s super detailed, TONS of prints… Probably far and away the best Lego truck we‘ve gotten from city and that theme tends to get great discounts so….

Normally I'd brush this set off as well, but the fact it's a Lego branded truck puts it in the must buy category for me. I have the Lego Store set (#40574), and this would pair really well with it. I'm surprised at the number of printed tiles. In the Store set, all the set boxes were stickers, and assumed that it would be the same here. I also have the Slushy and Burger food trucks, and kinda want the hot dog cart to go with it. The set may have to wait though, since I want to get the Tuxedo Cat and Retro Radio sets ASAP.

When it is on sale I will get one.

I just built the truck. It looks small on video but it's so much bigger in person! It's nearly two base plates long. This set has to be my favorite Lego set this year.

Get three, take the trailer and put some bogies on it, put the three truck cabs on a freight car BINGO! You got a four car train with 3 Lego cars and one carrying the three cabs. Its a TEN OUTA TEN TRAIN ALL DAY LONG.

while I agree that the Barad'Dur set is better (because it's a castle) ... but they couldn't be bothered to print the things in there. They did put very good prints here. I do agree 20-30 % off sounds better

Just put this together. I love the little details like the sleeper cab with TV and the engine bay. Plus, almost all printed pieces. Also, the $2 hot dog/soda combo is so Costco
