After watching this specific video for the 50th??? Time I felt like my ‘1’ like ages ago seemed no longer enough..... There are so many facets here that it’s taken me a year of actual business to start using more than just a few. I have read WWPM 2x so far and the second time 75% more of the book made a lot more sense than the first time when I was completely green. Both this video series and the book (Win Without Pitching Manifesto) are great primers for anyone starting a new business (creative or not).

I need these conversations. I started focusing on making product videos for Amazon sellers about two years ago and started out as just accepting free product as payment. Then I timidly began asking for 20-40 to make the video. Now I'm up to $125 for a basic video which is likely still too low but each time I raise prices I feel better about doing the work and less resentment about changes and other things.

Regarding the price debate: A specific price with a 995 or whatever ending implies just what you said, a discount. Following Blair's idea of charging a premium, in market economics a full round number signifies a premium product. Louis Vuitton will charge 5k for a handbag, not 4995.

maybe search on a search engine for the book??? put the title of the book in the search engine.. do this with any books you are interested in reading please don't ask what the title of the book is.. i can't remember but do some research.. we used to have to actually GO to bookshops and libraries before the internet.. use some initiative and effort, a search can work wonders for your query i promise you

I am a bit conflicted here. I do understand the value of charging more. Don't get me wrong. But I believe it's more easier for those who already have a long list of clients. What about those who are kind of starting or in a tight zone? Will this strategy be suitable for them? I know most people raises their price only when more clients keep coming. It doesn't mean charge cheaper but rather modest. I would love to be proven wrong.

@@za9067 Get a mentor. 2016 was the first time I mentored in Chicago for aspiring Hypnotists. One of the Hypnotists had serious self-worth issues due to negative outside influences despite wanting to succeed. Told them to take a chance on themselves with my help and they started generating themselves 4-figure clients within their first 3 months of mentoring with me (with NO existing list of clients). Naturally, you're less likely to do so on your own because you have a lack of knowledge, comfort and understanding of the market you desire to succeed in. On the other hand, if you mentor under someone who's at the level you wish to be at, you're likely to adopt at least part of their mentality, perspective, work ethic and, as a result, earn more than you had before. Honestly, I would be further along my own career now had I started charging 4-figures for my services sooner than the $300-$400 price tag I stuck to for years because I feared losing clients versus understanding the value I had to provide better clients. Up-to-date, my average 4-figure client has easily treated me better than any 3-figure client.

Just don't tell them. Act like you have lots of clients and book by appointment and set appointment a week in advance. Then you will be perceived valuable. Even you don't have any client.

Were you two actually on the same call? Futur or whatever your name is, seemed totally disinterested in the information. Bored and sometimes even as if he disagreed with the other guy. Always distracted looking elsewhere. If you're not interested in your guest and what they bring to the table, why should anyone else be? The questions futur had seemed to be scripted and when the guest paused he inserted questions, which usually didn't have anything to do with the track his guest was on. I felt sorry for the guest, who had a very strong message to deliver with a host, who seemed totally disinterested. Waste of time on the part of the guest. The message fell on deaf ears.

I rent Tents For large corporate events. When I started I undervalued my tents so low, and I was always treated like trash and they expected more. Years later I started charging so much more and have noticed a huge difference. Clients treat us with more respect and are very thankful at the end of the event.

I like this guy. He gives me the courage to charge what I need to feed myself without guilt. I was brought up under the mindset that it doesn't matter how little one gets paid, as long as you get the job, and if you don't get the job it's because you're being too greedy and you must requote them lower till they accept.

Telling people that they will not be missed if they disappeared tomorrow is an irresponsible thing to say when you have a large platform. Sure he meant it in a market context, and sure he was specifically trying to be provocative, but spreading derogatory philosophy about people's fundamental worth is not justified in service of making a striking business point. Many people are not doing well right now, and those with large platforms (especially on the internet) have extra responsibility to how their words will be heard in a variety of contexts. You can do better.

What about when you’re not yet in demand, and you’re trying to figure out where to position your prices do you go below average, average or above ? It is very true that when you charge more, provided you convey confidence and can deliver, people will generally assume and expect a good product and/or outcome. I believe I have valuable knowledge to share as a holistic lifestyle coach and a few other things I do… I don’t yet know where to position my pricing as I haven’t launched my business, don’t have a lot of sales experience etc… any tips Chris? 🙏🏼😄

Before you comment, appreciate the fact that I'm not talking about center-left, pro-social, "social democrat" policies of free healthcare and education until you're 18. Big 'S' Socialism means that the country owns all means of production, the market is centrally controlled, individuals own neither land nor businesses, neither can they trade freely nor can they build wealth. Same story in insurance. Too low, I wonder if the co will be in business to pay my loss. Too high, I feel ill never use their full service for what I’m paying
