I’m really torn, I love science at GCSE but I don’t know if I can do it, I’m getting good grades though I’ve never got lower than a 7 in any test. However, I have chosen to do a level biology only, and I know if you want to pursue it you should take more than one science. I’m just so torn :(

Hey! At a level there is def more application of knowledge and you will need to do lots of self study. Ur grades are fine dw too much about them, maybe ask older students at ur school how they’ve found science, I do all 3 but I genuinely enjoy learning it, however I know this is different for everyone. Also maybe check out the student room, they’ve got good advice✨other than that wishing u the best, you’ve got this!!! xxx🥺🥰♥️

Hi! I absolutely love your videos, I find them so so helpful! I don't think you covered this in the video but not sure haha, but, how much of A-level Biology is plant biology? I find it so tedious and boring and, as I'm choosing my options soon, wanted to check out how much it shows up in the course x

hi! Thank you so much for ur comment 💐 ur right I didn’t mention it in the video that much. I think it depends from exam board to exam board but my exam board has a lot on plant biology, hope that answers your question🌟

this was a great video, I found it really helpful! have u found that doing more than one science at a level is a lot of work, or do they work well together?
@RadhikasLife
@RadhikasLife 3 года назад
aw thanks...so glad that you found it helpful!! i'm acc going to be making a video on my experience doing three sciences, but to summarise, no, i actually find it manageable and i think they work well together. in terms of work, i barely get any hw so all i can do is revise which i find pretty good...hope that answers your question!! also ty so much for being a part of our small community here on youtube, i really appreciate it😌

hii! this isn't really related to the video but i'd honestly like some advice from you radhika! so, i'm currently in year 10 and i have the option to do triple or combined science, my teacher said i'll be perfect for triple as i'm currently getting 7s in combined) but i, myself am not too sure! one thing i should mention though, i'm really bad at maths, i've been getting 4s as of now, but by the end of year 11 i'd like to get at least a 6! by doing combined science, wont i have more time to revise maths instead of doing the extra science content for triple, (that is if id happen to take triple) i will have the option to move down to combined if i don't find triple is for me, but as i'm really bad at maths, i don't know what type of science will benefit me the best! but i'd only like to take biology at a level though. my teacher said "if you enjoy science go for triple", and yes i do! science is my favourite subject but i'm just worried about the stress and content overload in triple! what would you recommend? honestly any advice is appreciated, i'm really stuck on this choice!! thank you :)
@RadhikasLife
@RadhikasLife 3 года назад
hi!! thank you so much for trusting my opinion it means a lot!! so this is what I think. I think you should do triple science because it honestly does give you an extra advantage (maybe a slight one but still an advantage) at a level if you’re considering a science at a level. With regards to maths, i think you would still definitely have time for maths revision because to be completely honest, there isn’t a lot of maths to revise at gcse, it seems like a lot but the majority is just application of knowledge so you really don’t need to revise a lot. I personally feel you should go for the triple science. It would give you a good foundation for a level and if you enjoy the science now you will def enjoy it later. Don’t worry too much about the maths, I have a video on maths revision maybe that could help? Hope I was able to answer your question💗

@@RadhikasLife aww thank you so much honestly! i do agree with you now i think of it, maths is basically just all past papers and questions, not much content to remember. now i think of it, i may actually be leaning towards triple science! and as i do want to do something medical in the future, i think it'll help a lot! honestly, i've asked many people on this issue, but your answer has helped the most! i guess i'll end up doing triple then as i've always wanted to since year 7 ahah! it's only now that i've thought about the consequences of it, but from everyones experiences it's not too bad!! thank you so much

hi, I loved your video! I just started A-level bio and was wondering if I should bother learning things that are outside of the spec and are not in my textbook for OCR bio (as I don't have to do the essay that aqa has) even when I am taught them in class. I would rather not waste time and effort revising things that are ultimately irrelevant to my exams. thank you for your help
@RadhikasLife
@RadhikasLife 2 года назад
Aww thanks!! I’d say maybe be aware of things not on your spec since a level is more application than straight out of a book. But don’t waste too much time on that, focus on ur spec then if u have time look into other things more xxx Hope that helps ✨🤍

Can you do a biology a level and a physics a level, without doing chemistry?

Loved the video! I just wanted to ask how you find the workload of your 4 subjects altogether and whether you'd recommend doing 4 a levels? I'm going to be choosing mine soon and I've been told that 3 is more than enough. Although I want to keep my options as open as possible and have more variety in the content I'll be learning, I'm worried that the workload will be so overwhelming that I won't be able to handle it. Another thing I would like to ask is would you recommend doing 2 languages? I do French and Spanish currently and both of my teachers are encouraging me strongly to take them; they are my strongest subjects but I'm not sure if it would be very useful doing both. In terms of my plans for the future, I've been having a lot of trouble deciding what I want to do as in school I don't have any weak subjects, just ones I enjoy less, and looking at career options I find myself finding an interest in a lot of things. If I were to do 2 languages, my other options would be biology/chemistry and maybe maths, but I still need to research where these options could take me and if they would suit me. Anyways, sorry for the rant! I've been worrying about this for the longest time and just wanted some advice. I also love your channel and the content you make💕💕

Hi Erica, thank you for being here in our small community on RU-vid!! ✨💐 I would say four a levels is good because it means you can always drop a subject if it gets too hard, you can’t do that with 3. I will be making a video on workload at a level in a few weeks so hopefully it will give you an honest review but I personally find it okay with workload and I can manage simply because I don’t have a lot of homework for my subjects, it’s just revision. Also I’m sorry I’m unable to give you languages advice because I don’t do any, but I will be making a video on languages based on what my friends and peers have told me as well. Don’t worry about being stressed, I was too!! Honestly asking your teachers their thoughts will def help so I’d recommend doing that too. Hope I answered your question!! 💗💗💗
