I am a man in my early 40's and a newbie driver. We never had a chance to have a car in our family. I bought an all new i20 petrol IVT last year. I have nothing against manuals but to the people who fear about driving or who never touched the wheels, this automatic section is a big boon for many of us. Last year I drove to yercaud from chennai and took a wrong route and it was a horrible uphill route. There was no place to reverse or to make a uturn . I believed in myself and automatic kicked in it was a hassle-free drive for a newbie like me. Honestly, I am a man who is not much interested on wheels but I can manage a lot with this Automatic new wave. Few of my friends who took new manual cars here in city are really complaining on opting for manual.
@@princeo15 speak for yourself bro! I live in vazhaparai and own a basic amt car and have already completed 50k kms driving regularly on hills. No complaints so far. Its all minsldset
It is very simple. If driving in city with heavy traffic daily ( office commuting etc.,) then automatic will help in reducing driving stress. If maximum driving in highway only then manual is enough. Automatic is expensive compared to manual depending on type of Automatic. iMT
super explanation. if anyone planning to buy a new car is watching this buy an automatic car. You will definitely be happy and won't regret it. Automatic cars are a gift in city and traffics. Less leg pain. Also testdrive the automatic car of your selected car model before finalising your decision. All automatics aren't same. Each automatic is different and each car automatic is different.
I was using Manual cars for the past 15 years. Recently bought a Merc A Class and an Audi Q5 both which have DCT. I have not had any issues adapting to the Automatic and will say without a doubt that even the Automatics are fun to drive. I had a Jeep Compass 4x4 Manual that I thoroughly enjoyed before moving to Automatic. I have still retained my Manual SX4 that I even today enjoy driving. If you love cars, you will love any car once you understand them. I will always recommend German and Japanese Brands over others due to their quality and engineering. Same is the case with bikes.
I'm owning "A Star Automatic" for 12 years.. running great with no issues and not a single transmission issues so far. Mileage I am getting is around 10 to 16 kmpl depending on the driving condition. no stress in traffic also and is breeze to drive..!!
Its my point of view : nama roads la fun panna vendamey. Safe ah drive panna intha developments and automatics elam use aagum may be inum safe ah easy drive panalam future la. Fun to drive cars vendam nama roads ku 😅
This is very nice subject. Along with QnA model of reviews, these types are contents are very informative and engaging to watch. Only drawback is that these videos tend to be long. 20 minutes is good but 40 minutes is too long. You can try to make the content more precise. I would love to watch all your videos but sometimes I stop in the middle because it tends to be too long. Another suggestion, if you can show questions you are receiving audience, it would be more engaging for audience.
Good review!! Present trend is going for an AT,road conditions, and traffic. In city and highway usage AT would be a good choice. And experience driver with light footed driving will definitely enjoy driving also the mileage will be good as mentioned the maintenance cost would be the minimal over the period of years. For responsible drivers it's a boon.
I have the Virtus with DSG for a long time now and I've had no issues. It really depends on your use case. Cars with DSG/DCT should be primarily used in highways. They are not for bumper to bumper traffic.
I am driving AMT for the past 7 years, various brands . The fuel efficiency is less. However there is driving pleasure and peace of mind when it comes to stress after driving
Toyoto Glanza AMT, Baleno AMT, போகலாமா?
Really a good and informative video. No doubt in that. But was expecting 1. Citroen Basalt 2. Tata Curv 3. Mahindra Thar Roxx Reviews. I know there could be some issues.. but hope you get a Testdrive vehicle very soon and give us a reviews and walk arounds. WE ARE EAGERLY WAITING. Good job Motowagon team.
People who say manual is for enthusiasts probably have never driven a performance car. Automatics are a boon in city traffic and most cars have paddle shifters if you wanna drive in manual mode.
License nu onnu adhukku dhane tharranga, Neenga solra madhiri automatic naale poi idipanga na parking thaandi vandiya edukka mudiyadhu. Automatic is the future.
Sir, Is it possible to move back to manual transmission in times of urgency if we are accustomed to automatic cars. I mean.. will the manual car driving skills remain as muscle memory and we never forget it.
Thank you Asir, bro. Nice reweive. 👌 your explanation about Automatic cars, are very useful, keep it up. Wish you all the best to continue your reweives in future.👍
Hello Ashir , Good day, it was nice content, btw if possible provide a content on various automatic like AMT,AT etc.. so that new generation or first generation ppl can easily understand and pick the right one rather just go blindly on automatic..
What is the use of ‘neutral’ in Automatic cars ? Apart from car break down , especially people recommended to put the car in neutral while waiting in signal , is it really required?
2024 Creta SX(O) IVT or Turbo DCT which one Should I buy. I love driving. Not a real speed enthusiast. Not bothered about cost/ fuel eco. But worried about maintenance. pls advice..
Sir, it's getting rare to see a new car launch. Kindly post review or walkthrough videos on recently launched car. Awaiting more contents on new launch or about to launch car from you.
I have an assumption that if we face any issue in a manual / Naturally aspirated car like Maruthi anywhere in a small town , the roadside small town machanic can set us up atleast for temporary till we reach dealer. as machanism is simpler , but incase of Automatic and turbo , it will be difficult and we will have to wait for company technicians ? is my assumption wrong ? offcourse it depends on situation and what kind of probelm is faced (may be only for engine related issue). just wanted to know if there is any basis for such thought or is it just a misconception based on ignorance ? please let me know
Sir, it will be very useful if you make a episode explaining the category of automatic transmissions and applicable for what category of usage of cars.. like I am a senior citizen looking for a automatic car exclusively for city usage.. Thanks for your detailed, informative video..
You should drive a Ivtech engine and you might change some of your statements. I have been driving City Ivtech since 2010 and have driven it aggressively as well..
Believe it or not my venue sx dct petrol gives 23kmpl im highway and 19kmpl in traffic..more performance oriented too.. more fuel economist because of 1 litre turbo engine
Auto are the main reasons for motion sickness these days. For me it took around 3 months to learn how to adapt to it. And as we humans will adapt to everything with our super brain.
Automatic cars are best choice nowadays traffic condition. Mileage wise too modern cars are much improved equally giving the same mileage as manual cars.
Bought an automatic after 15 years of manual car driving. Now no way going back to manual. Whoever call it as manual is a manual, can go for it. Rest of the world will go to automatic.
Believe it or not. Enaku automatic car otra appo than left leg pain ye varudhu. Because left leg move pannama ore edathula vechi irupom. So 2-3 hours drive mudichitu endhirichi nadakara apo bayangarama leg pudichikidhu. Atleast 2 mins ninnutu apro than nadaka mudidhu. Idhuve enaku manual la indha problem varala. Because clutch press panna leg ah move pannuvom.
Hi bro, I am ready to spend 6.5-7 lakh for a car. I can't push the budget over 7 lakh. Please suggest the most suitable car with the variant name which has almost all the features.
Ppl can prefer whatever they want but do mind manual gearbox is a dying breed. Today it is an option, in future it wont be a option also. So choose wisely ✌🏼 Merits of having a manual: 1.Better control over ur vehicle 2.Better mileage 3.Little to nill issue in the gearbox 4.Exploring the engines full potential 5.Driving engagement 6.Even alto feels fun to drive with manual Merits of auto : Convenience
AMT is better option for long term usage including maintenance costs and fuel efficiency I've doubt it. Pls respond it. Thanks Bex recently AMT users are facing issues after 25k - 30k kms, thy says it's totally not worth able so pls explain it.
my biggest doubt is, should we drive it in single leg or double leg like manual? because when I had an experience with automatic I was using my left leg on the brakes as if it was a clutch pedal which led to sudden braking and inconvenience to other drivers. so the question is, Single leg or double leg or mixed.
