In europe, foods list kcals/macros per 100g, not per weird arbitrary serving sizes, and insolulible fiber is listed extra and not included in the total calorie count - american food labels seem really backwards, same as their unit system.
I only change my fiber amounts when i am cutting weight for the summers.. April to July.. I usually keep my intake to around 20 grams.. From Oct to March i up my fiber to 40 grams, I am just trying to get strong and keep my bulking weight at a set limit. Too much fiber makes me feel bloated. The benefits of fiber for me are during when i cut, makes me feel fuller longer, so less hungry.. Good video John as always...
Yes, calories are still digested and count as calories. That is like being nitpicky with counting protein less then 4 calories/gram because of their difference in TEF compared to carbs. When it comes down to it, most people just need to be consistent with their intake. Trying to modify 2 calories or 0 calories with different food sources and carb sources may be more time consuming then need be.
do i count fiber? yes since thats how myfitnesspal calculates it, and im wayyyyyyyyy too lazy to adjust it. same with protein from stuff like bagels or nuts.
At 42 what do you think about only train 3 days a week I feel like my body does a recover as fast anymore I'm coming off a cycle I feel pretty good look decent but I just don't want to get lazy
i know alot of older who do that...you could also lessen intensity a little and train more..I like to go hard, but love to be in the gym o cant go nuts everytime
The amount of garbage "fiber" that manufacturers are adding to food these days is astounding. Using the tortillas for example, a new gimmicky way to sell food.
I have never counted any fiber in my carb totals or calorie totals since fiber isn't absorbed and calories would be insignificant. Don't know how those certain protein bars count their soluble corn fiber towards calories. Best Bar Ever has real ingredients so there's no guess work lol
Steve Wohlford I didn't know that until I watched the video but it's still insignificant in the daily caloric intake unless you eat massive amounts of soluable fiber haha
I've read that Granite dropped the price of Recovery X, but the price still shows 60 on the website. Do I need to do something special to get a coupon code?
