I can say from personal experience working as a waiter, things can get messy dating others at work (pun intended). The first girl that broke my heart (I a bit her's too) was a waitress I worked with and we did so much together. She was the first girl who I really connected with and should have been my first girlfriend. She got me into Latin dancing and we went out together all the time. . I friend-zoned her because when I met her she had a boyfriend but in my naivety, I didn't see how much she liked me. Months later, I set my sights on another waitress and told her about it... her reply was she just broke up with her boyfriend. I backpedaled and told her it was her I really liked, but the relationship was never the same. It made work pretty awkward between us three. I didn't stay there much longer either. It was quite a bummer but it taught me that it's a lot easier to move on from a mess up or break up when you don't have to see each other anymore. The trust she had in me vanished, but everyone needs to experience heartbreak. It's a part of life that can only be learned and dealt with through personal experience. I would not recommend dating at work.

My advice would if you're going to try to go out with your co-worker,ask her after work hours and if she asks thats even better,but don't do it in the workplace,i can say this from experience,I haven't gotten fired,but i was talked to by the hr department.

One social meet up group I attended lately, one of the guys there told me he sadly didn't get his very first girlfriend until he was 30, while he is happy about having a girlfriend now, he still gets kind of depressed and bitter and resentful over having been single that long. Feels he didn't grow up having a normal youth because of being single that long. Causes him to envy and feel resentment and feel bitter when he sees couples out there younger than him. He has the mindset that he feels if he had been born a woman at least an average plain-looking woman, then there is a guarantee he would not have been alone or single that long. Yet people think men still have the better end of the stick in the dating world than women do, especially when men are far more likely than women are to be single that long, be alone or single longer, or to have a lonely journey, yes men and women each have different difficulties or different issues to deal with but being alone or single later than normal is normally never an issue or never a problem for women.

You may like your job but you like her more. And I say jobs are like buses, there's always another one coming. Sometimes you meet the love of your life and there's no one coming like her. Of course this is coming from someone like me who is simply not job material, I am self employed. I will never get a job. Maybe the only reason I will get a job is because there are pretty women there.
