Great presentation and if have the time, a great way to go, but two questions. 1) Is there a nominal deposit (say $1000 or so) at time of the order? and 2) Trade-in considerations with market value changes over the 2 to 3 month wait, plus locked into what that dealer then offers if not selling self, or direct purchase by another dealer at a higher price. My current car, Mini Countryman, was custom order with model changeover "unveiling" event and none stocked by dealers in the States - just the unveiling demo. Was fun watching the build process and the voyage across the Atlantic with stops in various ports before reaching Brunswick and transport to dealer. Trade-in was taken care of, delayed giving back to VW for their diesel buyback until Mini ready for delivery. Now seriously looking at the Escape Hybrid as one of the few cars that can be 4 down towed behind an RV...which the Mini and 95% of all cars can't.
