In this video I react to a popular Australian language learning youtuber talk about why he quit French and if he regrets it. I touch on points about being a polyglot, whether its realistic to learn multiple languages at once, consider the pros and cons, and of course react to someone who has been through this struggle.

Interesting review Well, it's possible to learn 2+ languages at once, many polyglots are doing it successfully BUT not everyone has enough free time for that / sometimes our preferences are just different and we decide from personal reasons that it's not for us, and that's completely fine and better than trying to do something that doesn't fit us well

Yep for sure, I think for most people with a full time job or studies it’s not the most practical thing to do but it depends on your goals too of course. Thanks for the comment! :)

@@BonnieVoyage it's an app that has one on one lessons in several languages. I enjoyed going through it, I'd compare it to Pimsler but for free

Hi Bonnie, this video was interesting. When you mention about the difficulty to learn two languages that are close to each other, I agree that it can be true to some extent. For example, I wanted to start Italian but as I already study Spanish (I think my level is B2) I have decided to postpone learning Italian when I am better at Spanish and have fewer risks of mixing both languages. But at the same time I think it will be easier to learn Italian then because they're very close. Anyway, that was interesting :)

Thanks for watching! Good point! I agree I think once you’re really comfortable at one it can turn into a benefit. A lot of these Latin languages have similarities which is super cool. Goodluck! 🥳
