Hey everyone! I'm Famil Samadli, a software engineer and entrepreneur. In today's video, we're tackling a question that many of us face: How do you choose the best career path for yourself? More specifically, should you learn coding because it might help you earn more?
With the tech industry's rapid growth and the allure of high salaries, it's tempting to jump into coding after seeing ads promising, "Learn coding in 6 months and start working." But is it the right choice for you?
I share my personal journey from studying Business Administration to pursuing Computer Science, highlighting the importance of aligning your career with your interests, skills, and values. We'll discuss:
The benefits and realities of a coding career.
Why passion is essential for long-term success.
Questions to help you determine if coding is right for you.
Encouragement to explore different fields and discover what truly excites you.
Questions to Ask Yourself:
Do I enjoy logical and analytical thinking?
Am I passionate about technology and how things work?
Am I prepared for lifelong learning to keep up with rapid changes?
(Not kidding-literally every day involves learning something new.)
If you answered yes, then coding might be a great fit for you. If not, that's okay! There are plenty of other career paths that can be both fulfilling and financially rewarding.
I encourage you to step out of your comfort zone-take introductory courses, attend workshops, or talk to professionals in fields that interest you. Platforms like RU-vid offer countless tutorials not just in coding, but in a wide array of subjects. Who knows? You might discover a new passion.
Let's continue the conversation:
I'm curious-what factors are you considering in your career choice? Have you faced similar crossroads? Share your thoughts or questions in the comments below, and let's continue the conversation. Your experiences might help others who are facing similar decisions.

Happy that we had this convo with you before I invested my time, energy, and finances learning to code. I realized this right from begining that it is not my thing, and now I am on another career path that I really like ✨
