Really nice and down to earth conversation and Mishty was so cool and wise too at the same time. And Daniel is always great to listen to as always with his intellectual insight about life, career and relationships and everything else literally. Really cool podcast, guys and thanks a lot ❤

I'm not a person to hate on anybody but as a person who's pursued masters in the US, I must say this, that the girl's knowledge is just based on what she has heard and she have no idea of what she is talking about!

Nobody in their right might would take a 80k dollar loan, toil for 2 years doing masters, then work 3 next years on F1-opt to payoff that loan😅..and then pray to god that their h1b gets picked up in lottery 😅. And if it doesnt get picked up, you are screwed. Then from there, its a downward spiral, you enroll in a phd just to stay in the country.😂 Even if h1b gets picked up, then u wait endlessly to get your green card (average wait time ~20 years). Honestly, I have no idea why people are doing this. They are nuts 😂

And going by purchasing power parity, 25lpa in india is almost like $80k in US. And you have all the freedom to do business in india alongside (which you cant do on h1b). And god forbid if your US manager turns out to be an abuser..then you cant even leave that job coz he filed your visa, green card and if you switch job its going to reset the 20 yr clock 😂 im laughing just typing this.. its so funny

true - the girl once experiences the education and lifestyle that you get when you are outside India - she might change her opinion. Listening to her, it's sort of seems she wants to stay in her own comfort zone. Thats ok for her. Please don't judge the young students who are working here for a better life in a developed country. I am based out of Sydney and have seen Indian students toil hard every day (very few live off their parents' money). Once you get a job and is eligible for PR - that intense hardship bears fruit of living in a first would country.

Great thought provoking podcast. All these sensitive NRIs in the comments feel targetted but they are blind to the weird ongoing hype in India. I see this conversation as shedding some light on a conversation that barely happening regarding going abroad. I also liked how u both talked about parents in this equation. Thought provoking indeed. I had this in my downloads for past many months! Finally got to it :)

Wooow she has no clue about what she’s talking about😂. I totally understand the angst against the privileged ones but at least get your facts right. This discussion was so naive.

Perhaps you should have seen this conversation as shedding some light on something that barely gets talked about. Indians without definite plans do struggled a lot abroad. If you can't recognise that, you probably are in a bubble.

But that's the perspective of the current generation. And we have ample students sample size. There is nothing wrong in decoding the privilege setup.
