"Discrimination" actually just means making a distinction between different things, literally just recognizing differences, even though it's used colloquially to mean "unfair exclusion of a protected demographic"
@mirac8803

2. recognition and understanding of the difference between one thing and another. "discrimination between right and wrong" Similar: differentiation distinction telling the difference the ability to discern what is of high quality; good judgment or taste. "those who could afford to buy showed little taste or discrimination"
@alpyki2588
@alpyki2588 Год назад
The problem is people forget discrimination can be good. For instance its is good I'm able to discriminate between a lion and a cat because bringing home a lion and treating it like a cat would mean I get eaten. Or putting a cat in a zoo and treating them like a lion would mean some very disappointed children. The problem is once you start understanding the problems each community faces and you're not part of that community, then the labels come out. Especially if its against the current narrative.

Love doesn't take an account for a wrong done. This is truth. Most people don't understand or manifest this due to hardened hearts. This unconditional grace and forgiveness to forget all wrongs done is what the message actually is but this scares most people so we tend to decide that "well you just don't know this situation or this person" and "I'm not a doormat"... Imagine big Jesus was hanging on the cross and said "after all I've done for them they nail me to this cross... That's it they just went too far, they are not worth it". Well fortunately he decided we were and since he first loved us this deep we can know how to love others this same depth. Scandalous yet true
@anonsmith3459
@anonsmith3459 Год назад
@@SoSoInfinite I think you're confusing the word forget with forgiveness. You can forgive and you're not supposed to forget nobody's supposed to forget because when you forget you're doomed to repeat what you done and if you're trying to get better then you need to remember what you've done forgive yourself forgive others and move forward in Grace. You don't forget wrongdoings doesn't make any sense nor does it equate with forgiveness.

I am sorry that you feel like an outsider! People tend to cluster and triangulate, if you can be made a victim many will make one of you. I understand not wanting to make an enemy feel better, because it could be extreme circumstance and also, you really can't forgive people who are still continuing the same abusive behavior that you mean to forgive them for, lol. That would be foolish. However, there is a rare occasion where someone will give you a cue that they are sorry, or they will make effort to repent for their behavior, these people deserve it most times (unless its a manipulation tactic). I hope that people come into your life that are worthy of that type of love and forgiveness, everyone needs and deserves that in their life!

I have a different understanding of what it means to love your enemy. To me it means that you have to come to terms with the fact that you need your enemy. Your enemies give your life purpose. If you faced no opposition in life it would be empty and meaningless. Just imagine it, if you had no one to contend with, nothing to overcome. In fact life itself has evolved out of conflict. The inherent competition for existence is what drives evolution. Without enemies we wouldn't be who we are

I learned the hard way that it isn't always my job personally to fix everyone, sometimes you aren't the one meant to cause their change! I was arrogant and thought I could fix someone, help them see the error of their ways, but they didn't want it, and specifically did not wish to hear it from me personally! I now know that if they are to be repaired in their heart I have done as much as I were able, but it did not land on a heart that was open or wanting of that, yet! I yearn for a day that there will be a change, but am saddened that it may not happen. Gotta give it to God at this point!

We are to love our neighbors and our enemies as ourselves. We are to forgive those that hate and harm us. Matthew 5:43-44. It’s counterproductive to be hateful and resentful. True Christians must forgive and above all love others. We pray for our enemies and people we disagree with, we don’t hate them. We’re not supposed to hurt each other period. Thank you Jordan. ✝️❤️🌻 Jesus Christ ate with society’s outcasts and showed love, compassion and friendship because he knew they needed him the most. The homeless people I’ve met are so humble, kind, grateful, honest and open. Even though I give them goody bags and hugs, it doesn’t compare to how they touch my heart. Anyway, loving and helping others is one of the greatest experiences in life. It truly is better to give than to receive.

I suspect things have been lost in translation down the millenia with translation of "love". No one, not even God can love their enemy, but you can respect them and respect their own worth. The difference is thay love in the modern sense means you will sacrifice everything for thst person. If someone breaks in to your house and is about to rape your daughter, do you allow him because you are supposed sacrifice everything in your love? No you stop him at all costs to protect the one you do love, your daughter. However, you still see the rapist's worth as a human being and you will only use enough force to stop the attack and restrain the individual. That is what we have lost as we allow Progressiviam to drag us into a suicide cult.

I am glad he formulated that. Eastern European or Balkan style of nationalism is shown as discrimination and racism by some Westerners. They try so hard to fight against this "exclusion", that they get tired of compensation, and become actully racist, and treat outsiders as inferior to human beings. (Not saying everywhere, but I experienced something like this among Nordic people)

I am a former police officer, baptized Catholic and Jesuit educated. I am a pagan and practice witchcraft. In addition to owning a Bible, I also own a copy of the Quran. My time at my Jesuit high school was similar to that of a military school. The school motto there is “ad majorem del gloriam”, a Latin phrase that means “for the greater glory of God”. We were being trained to be “men for others”: The Jesuits that taught us are known as “God’s Marines”. This was part of my impetus for wanting to serve something greater than myself in law enforcement. I believe God has many faces. God wants me to be curious about how others conceptualize God. Despite my pagan beliefs and practices, there are teachings from Christ that I believe are imperative and valuable. In my mind, one of God’s faces was that of Christ. I believe in things like honor, code, duty, fortitude, strength, dignity, justice, and mercy. It is said that in truth, one will find God. There is truth in the redemptive power of love, hence my belief that Matthew 5:43-44 is a reflection of truth: “But I say unto you, love your enemies, bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use, and curse you”. God was foreshadowing exactly what Christ was going to do. One of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s greatest sermons was titled, “love your enemies”. If one is a Christian, one must recognize that Christ is King. Christ was not playing when He issued the aforementioned command. It is by far probably the most difficult command to practice and adhere to….I have certainly struggled with this myself and I consistently offer prayers for people that have hurt me, wronged me, betrayed me intimately, hurt me, abused me, etc. Hate is a powerful force that will distort and twist someone. The value of Matthew 5:43-44 is someone must have the courage to break the chain of hate or violence between people and ultimately between nations. People have hated me and I have hated others…..the message that God has put on my heart is that love is the key. From my time in law enforcement, I have seen what the results are when we can’t or refuse to love one another. It often has tragic, permanent, and deadly consequences. I have swallowed plenty of hate in my life…..it didn’t fix anything, it just made me sicker. From a biological standpoint, hate is just a form of stress fueled by epinephrine and cortisol. This translates to elevated blood pressure. The number one killer of people in the world is heart disease. Being flooded constantly with these hormones will damage your heart and blood vessels. It will even age you faster. This is a biological fact. It is easy to love your friends and family, the real test of love is can I love someone that absolutely despises me? My heart just tells me that I have to use discernment to be able to translate and see the “code” God has hidden within creation. There are hints here and there. When I start to drift off towards hate and resentment towards another, I remind myself that the other person is a child of God and God loves them. God is always watching. Blessed be..

I had a serious argument with a very senior manager at work and he couldn't fire me but he fired my two up manager who stood up for me. I put a Gypsy curse on the guy ( he was a real .....) and six months later he got hit by a car and died. I thought the curse worked and felt a little guilty until I realised it was his own aggression and stupidity. But be prepared for guilt and repercussions if you don't forgive your enemies... and watch your own stupidity and aggression, it might kill you..

Another good reason is you'd have to consider a generation or two of kids who have been raised not to discriminate against others. We've been taught to treat each other equally, and through no small effort have been told that is inclusive of just about every characteristic a person could have, even to the point of tolerating your enemies. One mistake explored thoroughly with both batman and superman is that their continued efforts not to kill is paramount to their continued need. By that I mean if batman killed the joker most of his plotlines wouldn't have happened. Not to say someone else couldn't then show up to fill that roll, however because the enemy not only lives but has many chances to encounter batman, the joker learns enough about batman to find out how to hurt him. And that's the crux of the question. If your enemy is just going to stave his time, why give him the time to learn how to hurt you? I agree that having one society (being a citizen of earth rather than America) is actually a very good thing for many reasons. For one global trade is proving again and again that if we don't deal with each other none of our countries can survive for long. As well that's a lot of people who together could figure out a lot of things. But if you make yourself a threat you should be responded to appropriately.

In my own experience Its the other way around, not loving your enemy is exhausting, not to love someone requires putting the walls up, separation, sth vr sth else/ energy required to fight, take position and guard it os immence, segregate (concentration camps as an example), but to love requires no effort,to love is to set free, to love thy enemy is to see to the underlying unity of life, beyond bounds of flesh, belives, and deeply conditioned reasposes, its not an activity, its your own inner nature, which is of love, thus its without effort, thus not loving is going against natural outflow of inner nature. Im not talking about fooling one wns psyche to love what is an 'unlovable' act (unloveable by human standards - undesirable to the benefit of human happiness, which in general is confused with pleasure, being physical, mental or emotional), its about being present and bare/ undressed from judgments, poaitionalities, enough to stay unmoved in the face of 'thy enemy' naked to the experience of factuality of situation, of the moment and being the moment, without any reserves. Jesus is great symbol of that, absolute surrender to what is, thus surrendering personal stances to see moment as Spirit sees it, thus. No enemies, no enemies at all, thus error is recognized as judgment of ourselves as such. To see other as unholy is to see one self as such, who ever that might be whatever that might be. To see other as whole, holly is to see onesef as such, thus seeing all 'things' as such, and in that space there are no enemies, just isness, suchness. Thus to see any enemies is a burden already. '' What is a good man but a bad man's teacher? What is a bad man but a good man's job?'' When a baby misbehave, we know with our loving compassionate heart that, its a new life, new human being, being human, and our patience is so great, cos we understand, we know what they are going through, in our eyes no wrong is done, there is that radiant loving-kindness in our hearts and minds and each ruffness is softened, each acke is soothed, so much so, that edgy anger cannot survive in the 'fluid vibrance of softness of love, and so I read that some research suggest that babies will die without nurturing, without tenderness, so why on earth we would asume and live as if harshnes presented towards' enemy' would heal(solve) things, it just cannot be, that adding wood to a fire would extinguishe it, yet witout being enough present we cannot see it, and we cannot know it it seems. 'My love is for you is unconditional, your participation is not required' (its easy to love someone when he is easy to love, but that partitioned love is not what love really is.
