I mean, let’s be honest. Not a lot of people wanna join book club with blade or shop class with Peter. They could’ve kept the high school stuff and just focused on the combat. 💯
@@wherethegreatestplay3529 I disagree. Getting to know the characters on a personal level is what makes Marvel so great. Spider-Man is great because Peter Parker is a great character. To be a great character, we have to get to know him personally. These clubs provide a way to do that, in addition to the item/card benefits.
@@magnusprime962The extracurriculars in this game were very poorly executed. There are much more effective and entertaining ways to develop a character that's not the borefest that is the Abby.
Thanks bro for this. And to be completely honest. I hope your Chanel blows up cause you are doing everything flawless. ( editing, sound. Video edit.) Amazing work my friend. You slay some serious shit. I really do wish your Chanel gets way bigger. You just keep shit real and I personally love it. Thanks for all your content.
@@Jwibbles07 Yes but about what 8 / 9 years after release as a super Christmas special? 😆If it was making money they'd not be giving it to Epic to give away so soon.
@@jeffreyramsaur796 there are a lot of way to make a game seams non répétitive, different environment, a lot of different enemies, different challenge and game mecanism
Tip: Dont buy the credits. Just buy the season pass and u unlock all skins in the shop along with the dlc. I didnt know this when i bought the season pass. So awesome bonus.😃
Friggin found you in a Xcom 3 discussion video but you got that X factor. As for the Marvel Midnight Suns.. the only thing I wish it was like "Marvel Ultimate Alliance" where it crosses through alot of interesting areas. For me I would buy this and try it.. but making a Table Top Boardgame xox.
Thank you! I appreciate the compliment and I'm glad you like the content! Ultimate Alliance was great, I would love to see something like that in the style of Midnight Suns. Maybe we will get a reboot one of these days
I think ill give it another Shot. Bought the Standart Ed on Release but due to an Oopsie from my Shop i got the Legendary Ed for the price of the Standart Ed. Really loved Xcom and also big Fan of the Civilization Series. But all the Abbey Persona Style Side Hustle was complete bland and boring so i lost interested after a couple of Hours. Also the Lack of Language Settings was a even bigger bummer. On Release you couldnt seperate the Text Language and the Voice Language and the German dub was straight awful so my only choice was to change my whole system Language to English and play it on English which was also awful. At least they patched this sometime so by now i can go woth German Text and Engl Voices.
Yikes I didn't know about the language issues. The Abbey stuff can be a little bit of a bore sometimes, but honestly the first few hours are the slowest and most cutscene heavy. After that part it is not so bad
Absolutely worth it for $25. That's the lowest I've seen it and what I paid for legendary. With the added DLC story and characters you can get 100 hours easily if you want to
I ignored this game, got it for free on epic to "ehh i suppose I'll see how bad it is". dozens of hours later I bought the Ultimate Edition on Steam. This game is AMAZING. not perfect, but the fun factor, attention to detail, and content are off the charts.
It really is extremely well put together. Even the somewhat slower portions weren't enough to make me put it down. The legendary edition is a great pickup on sale
There is no sequel pops. This game was a commercial failure, and the main characters (pun intended) behind its creation all left Firaxis. There will never be another Midnight Suns sadly. Hell, At this point, I don't even think we will ever get another XCOM.
I got this game for free on release thanks to Game Pass. Flawed, but I am a sucker for a good strategy game. Eventually, 2K put it on sale several times through its release cycle. I was able to score the ultimate edition for $29.99 several weeks after it released. For 30 bucks, a decent buy imo. This game had an interesting and tortured development. It was originally supposed to be for mobile devices. Something happened with Marvel and 2K and then Firaxis was forced to conver it to consoles. Firaxis wanted creative freedom with the project, and the idea for a main playable character spawned. Marvel told them ok, so long as they distinguished it from the licensed work. That's why they are called Midnight *Suns* instead of The Midnight Sons. The story is not canon, and has no relation to the comics. It bombed pretty hard, and most of the folks associated with the project moved on from Firaxis.
I didn't know it was originally meant for mobile - I would honestly love an on the go game like this. I grabbed the legendary for $30 also, and I think it is well worth that price point. The development issues and "commercial failure" label are a shame, there are some really good bones and I would love to see more of it with some tuning. However, like you also stated, Firaxis isn't what we knew anymore and we really have no idea what to expect from them in the turn based tactics genre moving forward.
This is where Suicide squad Kill The Justice League is way better cuz u actually are involved in the game n not some stupid ass CARDS THANK U CUZ I WAS GONNA BUY THAT GREEN EXPENSIVE ASS ONE SO THANK U BRO
It's one of my favorite games in recent years, easily my favorite game of 2022. The Abbey stuff was a bit annoying to me, but not so bad it ruins anything. Getting to know the character and the story was really good, the combat was really fun. I understand people not liking card games, but it really doesn't feel like a card game.
Should You Play Marvels Midnight Suns In 2024? Not when the game doesn't let you. On my system it doesn't work past the tutorial no matter how many times I delete it and reinstall. Don't think this should happen with a game that's been out for ages, but there you go.
@@GridCommand I was unaware of Denuvo! Looking at a list of PS5 games that have it, yeah, it seems I have played games that do and I had no issues. After the tutorial I get a message saying something like " glad you enjoyed the demo, go play the full experience". It doesn't save my gameplay and restarts on a new game. Never had an issue like this, not even with very indie stuff 🤷♂ Sent playstation a form for a refund. Waiting to hear back.
I think the main story leans too hard on the heroes bickering with each other (a sadly common problem in Marvel's comics), but the side content for the characters and the combat are top-notch. I could do without the Abbey mysteries, but everything else is a fun gameplay loop that has kept me coming back for more.
I agree the bickering got to be a bit much sometimes. The Abbey felt cool at first but eventually kind of turned into tuned out busy work. Not bad enough to make me not enjoy the game however!
I know theres no way this will ever happen but a switch version wouldve been amazing. I work long hours and a game like this to take me out of work even for 30 min would be amazing
I played it a while ago. My feeling is that it's finely crafted, but overall it isn't very good. They tried, again, to adapt XCOM for consoles. The ideas it tries are good theories, but overall I mostly found it repetitive and annoying.
It is very well put together and definitely a deep game, but I can see the repetitive point of view too. Running through the Abbey doing the same few actions every day gets old
@@walexia I got pretty near the end before I quit and I had all the DLC. I just didn't think it was that good overall. The whole thing is based around the battles and the battles are fun for a while, but they're not amazing even though they want to be.
