Big pro for me in there’s no guns to level up! This means we all have the same shit, attachments matter but an ace is an ace. Unlike warzone, their ace might be leveled up and tuned with broken setups. Meaning both shot at the same time you might die first. I can always leave and play other games with no FOMO with Pubg, just hop back in when you’re ready and it will be an equal playing field. Also yes for the best gun play! Time to kill feels great! Assault rifles feel great, shotgun do what they do, SMGs feel like they should! Gun play is un matched IMHO, I’ve played most of them all, Tarkov, Insurgency Sandstorm, battle bit all the arcade like fps. COD, WZ, Apex, Fortnite.. etc. Pubg is in my opinion the best it’s ever been and is absolutely timeless! I can always load up Pubg and have a time… high highs and low lows! Nothing like it, awesome video! If they can figure cheating out it will without a doubt be the goated on top of goated BRs. You the best bro!
Im new to PUBG I started playing a year ago thanks to my friend. I stop playing other games and I can’t believe how much time I wasted in other battle royals. Everyone should give it a tried 🎉
@@royenator it certainly could use a menu overhaul to get rid of all the medal notifications and instead let us requeue another match directly from death screen without going back in main menu at all. and if you requeue like this you should be considered for last filling spots in games about to start, then people who binge play will waste a lot less time in queues.
My number 1 piece of advice for new players is go on youtube and find a video showing someones suggestions on sensitivities because there are alot of adjustments you can and should make. I personally pretty much copy and pasted someones suggestions from youtube to the game and it changed the whole game for me

I was about a year late to the party(still season 1). Started playing on console after a 'pubg funny moments' youtube video popped up in my feed. I'd never laughed so hard at video game clips in my life haha... Haven't played any other game since. Love it.
The engine is dated, it runs horrendously on older hardware, and doesn't even look that good on modern hardware. It would really deserve an engine overhaul. Perhaps UE5?
@@cytheog3797 i love the gunplay too compared to other FPS games out there, although I do wish the physics were realistic rather than observing arbitrary balance rules like bullet dropoff and travel time it just feels like you can not use your understanding of physics you just have to miss a ton until you can know how the game reacts at various distances and speeds and situations. im especially thinking of stuff like shooting on moving targets from a car yourself and such. i think pubg should fully embrace projectile bullets rather than be a hybrid hitscan shooter. then nerf bullet damage at a distance rather than increasing bullet dropoff, and fix horizontal panning delays.
I got back into the game recently.. been playing it each night for the past couple weeks and have had fun with it, even though I suck. Still find it fairly addicting, great gunplay, and the claims of it being "overrun by hacks" is highly overblown, from what I've experienced on NA servers.
I play this game on console and is the only battle royale that I have played. My pro list is as follows. - Sound effects - the reload sounds, foot steps, gunshots, rain, etc. really is what makes this game for me. - Great selection of weapons and attachments - Looting - looting and inventory management are basically a mini game imo and I find it very fun and exciting when I get that gear I really want. - No pay to win - - Butt clenching anxiety - we’ve all been there, in the final circle or just a fight with another player. Nothing gets my blood pumping like this game does. Pubg has kept this alive for 7 years. - Everybody has the same chance to win or lose - Absolute noobs can pick this game up and get kills just as much as a seasoned vet can get wasted within the first few minutes of play. Level playing field (unless you’re cheating of course) - Average’s chat lobby - You know who you are and you are some of the coolest people I have had the pleasure to chat with. The mods are fantastic! So now my cons…Sorry this is so long lol… - Miramar - worst map ever created in any video game I stand by that you can’t change my mind. - When it’s a run sim - You know what I mean. It sucks when you can’t find a vehicle and yadda yadda yadda. - UI on console is terrible - To add to what you addressed about the store. Sometimes opening hunter chests or whatever will freeze my game for what seems like decades 😂 - Butt clenching anxiety - I do love the adrenaline pump but sometimes I just don’t wanna play because of it (Thank the maker we have Average Sniper to play for us 😊) That’s all I have for now. I do not regret to buy it in 2018. Still to this day i play this game almost every day. 5000 hours. I love it and allways will. ❤ And you Dave my PUBG Teacher. In many cases my gameplay is similar to yours. 😉
pubg has stayed consistent since its release. i've made the rounds, given the 'pick me games' a shot, and am now back - and nothing has drastically changed! so refreshing!
Started playing in 2017/2018 with my friend group. We played the hell out of it, it was so much fun and we had so many great nights. Been playing on and off since then. It is still an amazing game that gets me on every couple of weeks/months. But the feeling from back then is sadly gone for me. It was just special back then. Primetime 2017/2018.
Yes, 2017 - 2018 was prime pubg, especially the whole optimization issue even you have a beefy gaming pc. Every one was grinding on the leaderboards! Those were the days

I just recently found out about tdm being added even tho I'm sure it's been there for a good awhile. But that alone made me reinstall it. Love the way the guns feel
I'm also new to PUBG and agree that at first it's really hard to get that one kill per round even. It was and partially still is hard for me to see the enemies. After couple months of training (few rounds every now and then, not playing every day) I started to understand better what I should do and where to go. Now I'm already a three times chicken dinner veteran and enjoy this game even more.
Very goog list, I'm a new player and I just recently installed the game on my playstatiin, and been loving it. And wow, got my first win in a normal solo mode match (no bots) in my first day of playing 😳. Everything u said in the vid is true, and yes I tried the cars too, even I realized how bad they were xD, but hey the game was fun and I liked it. Good video, it was very helpful, since I knew pubg's pretty old already, and I always thought the game was only FPP, im an TPP, and I just dont like how it feel to play FPP games, just not my tipe, when I realized the game was TPP also thru video I went quickly tried it out.
The cheaters are out of control. In ranked matches, more often than not, I run into a cheater. People don't even hide it anymore. Today, 3 February 24, had a single guy rush our team of 4. He snapped to each player and instantly killed all of us with a Beryl with no recoil at distances up to 200 meters, with a red dot. I don't think he even had to reload before wiping our team. I caught his flank while he was lasering my teammates and as I shot he immediately snapped 90+ degrees to me and killed me instantly.
Forsure I play the game daily, & it’s just because I enjoy a semi realistic battle royal game with a slower pace, call of duty hasn’t been the same in some years, to bullet spongey and too fast passed, both games has issues but both games also has there fans you enjoy what you enjoy & my game just so happens to be pub g & im hoping a ghost recon wildlands 2 comes out, that was another good realistic shooter with a good 4v4 pvp mode
I play in Asia servers and it always take like 5-10 sec to get into any match,i'm talking aboout squads,solos or whatever i play it's so easy to find a match because the game is way to popular in Asia mostly SEA servers. But there are ALOT of cheaters in Asia.
Started playing a month ago. CS has always been my game but it’s absolutely riddled with hackers on Faceit I don’t even play no more. PUBG really has been a solid game, really fun.
I used to play pubg on console (barely liked it but thats because it sucks on console lol) but after building my pc yesterday and playing pubg on there and been loving it. The kills are rewarding and gunplay is fun
That list is missing some big cons, like emergency pick ups ruining games with players in cheesy spots you can’t access or flush. E pick ups also ruin the classic feel of rotating fights and ambushes. The bridge camps suck now. The guns all suck and are wildly uncontrollable, especially since over 26% of people cheat with zero recoil. Blue zone names are fake and cheesy like the jammer bag. Having never ending micro transactions is a con and I quit buying the garbage after being ripped off multiple time with weapon skins for guns that got ruined. Try playing ranked with teammates who hide in bushes and never cover you. The ping system shouldn’t even be in the game. Calling Pubg realistic or even semi realistic is just fake news. I used to love it and now I absolutely hate playing more than 3 games in a row, even when I’m winning.
Watched you in the beginning, I left the game after they broke it. I recently came back and man it feels great. Nostalgic and as real as it gets. I hope they make a pubg 2
hey my guy, was a huge non-fan of shooters but building gaming pcs for clients i sorta have to do testing and PUBG really got me into shooters now. so far i LOVE pubg and like CS2 for the quick pick up and play aspect of it.
Cars hitting a stack of four tires at 80 miles an hour and doing 50% damage to the person driving it, limb damage multiplier for SMG’s, SMG‘s with absolutely no recoil that can murder people at 150 yards, how about progressive skins that are people are spending over $1000 to max out? Because everything about it is gambling? There’s so many cons that you cut out of the list. The overpowered nature of the dragunov. Sand snow storms. Bears. “ markets” fueled by coins that you pick up in the game now. Who’s to say that isn’t getting us used to those coins and that shop system and now you can buy coins in the lobby and guess what now it’s a pay to win. Like I said so many cons to this game that you left out. Weapon balancing availability of level three year without hitting the crate
It used to be a very fun game, than they spent too much time on stupid skins and bad changes instead of making the game better and dealing with cheaters.
Pubg is a great game. It has been a game changer for online gaming. 1st game I have ever played for console that has done cross play and 100 players. This game is to hard for newbies. If you don’t mind wasting 15-30 minutes without shooting your weapon it’s fine. I think pubg lies about the player base on console. I play ranked and have been killed by other players who are on my friends list and dindt even know they where on ranked. Pubg is dead for new players. Old skool players are legacy players who just don’t care.
I just came back just now from over 3 years of not playing but PUBG for me is 1 of my Top 3 BR games even though there are cheaters and hackers but i still love this game, I'm just a casual regular player but sometimes i got Chicken Dinners because of my Teammates 😅😂. In all my years on the internet have I ever heard someone say a Live Service Games and Microtransactions a PRO!! Lol. Honesty, I'm not gonna judge someone on how they want to spend their money. I just thought it was funny.
For pubg idk why even if the game starts im stuck at loading screen. Even when the enemy kills me im stuck at the loading screen . Idk why . After some matches , it gets somewhat good but mostly its the same
What a great video! 100% you saved the best for last. After all these years it's the same for me, you get a rush and it's incredible. Also the gameplay never gets stale. Like it's not rinse and repeat. There are so many different dynamics that can occur. I've dabbled in other games and I found them repetitive and boring.
i have decided no, I have stopped playing and just finished uninstalling the game from my PC. This is a big deal because I have literally been playing the game every single day for several years. I kept trying to get "better" by practice, tactics, etc. Fast forward 3,200 hours of game play and I cannot even get through most CASUAL matches without getting killed by obvious cheaters. I keep reporting people but they are not getting banned, or at least I seldom get a ban notification. The people I am getting killed by have like 35 matches, 20 wins, and > 20KD (No exaggeration) so HOW can these people keep playing the game?? The player base has dropped off, and they are obviously allowing cheaters now to keep players in the game, and I get zero enjoyment any more. I may come back at some point in the future, but for now I am DONE. Wish you and your channel the best of luck Average!

Bought the game back in the day. Played for like 6 hours and never touched it since. Was pretty hard to get into even like 6 years ago. The 3rd person vs 1st. The movement and gunplay. Was just hard to get used 2 for a casual fps player. Love to watch it though and may try it again if I get some friends hyped.
For me the main issue is that while the game originally was great and novel and essentially ticks all my boxes for an ideal videogame template, I still feel like they just left it to rot. It doesn't really feel like the game has advanced, upgraded, polished itself. Sure there are more maps, some more weapons and gimmicks, but fundamentally this still feels like a 7 year old game with 7 year old gripes that never got handled. Slow pace of gameplay is great, but clunky mechanics still feel as awful as they did in 2017. Visuals and graphics feel like a pre-2017 indie game still. The shop is awful, anything you grind for is absolute trash like I don't need a 17th pair of "school shoes". I'm in a military war zone, I'm not applying for a local boyscouts group. And from what can be purchased, none of it is tasteful unless you're into the Fortnite direction - at which case I again wonder "who is this game for then?". Why are there 100 types of goofy one-piece jumpsuits, but not actual proper military outfits? I'm not one to use game microtransactions much, but even if I were paid to use shop items I genuinely wouldn't want any of them. Physics in general in the game are just bad. Water physics, vehicle physics, flight, feels very basic and indie - despite being one of the highest revenue games of the past decade. With all they've earned, I don't see much of it finding its way back into the game. PUBG deserves a proper sequel, but it being live-service means it'll forever stay mediocre. It will get content expansion sure, but it will never become the game it always had the potential to be -if just given the devotion it deserved. I don't know, I really wish I could love this game. I have 1000s of hours in it, but it's all from 2017-2020 era. Ever since then, every time I log on once per half year, I just feel like I'm beating a dead horse. All the things I saw in the game years ago, all the potential, all the greatness that could be achieved -none of it has come to fruition. Instead it's just descended into being a money-making machine where it actively incentivizes minimal investment into improvement as long as player count stays high and no competitors push for something better. The whole state of live-service gaming as a whole has come to this. No one wants to improve and innovate, because no one else is doing anything either. The biggest pros imo: 1. Gunplay is heavy, impactful, and directly rewards skill and a tactical mind. 2. No run-and-gun gameplay (unless you're cheating) 3. Pacing on larger maps is well balanced, gives time to loot and strategize, but not so much that people can stay out of risky scenarios with ease unless they drop in the middle of nowhere 4. Distance of maps means genuine planning is necessary to at least consider - there are no cheap ways to negate the core game mechanics like the circle, the body of water in between you/your objective, that bridge you know is likely being camped on the other side, etc. Player navigation is predictable and fair, no cheap tricks like in COD and comparable games. 5. Tactical skill matters as much as mechanical skill 6. Squad systems have the tools you need, and no bloated abilities or systems that confuse more than they aid. Everything is clear, understandable, and conveys info efficiently. 7. Sounds are good (not Tarkov great, but good). Pinpointing directions is generally clear as well as determining the type of shot/explosion etc. Minimal audio clutter
Been playing since December of 2018 cuz thats when it came to PlayStation. I still play it a lot to this day and it's my favorite Battle Royale of all time.
I am a new player and I can't miss my shots in this game so I love it but Im wondering if you have videos on how to kill grind or hot spots on maps because I can't find more than 10 players to kill in a lobby so far.
PROS: My character have a funny dance. CONS: Keeps getting 5-10 seconds freezing during each match. Often multiple ones. Especially fun during last 1v1. I might, once again, be done with it.
Love the vid and all your pros and cons average! One of the biggest cons I would like to add here is that this game is slowly moving towards the apex/fortnite style of gaemplay. What i mean by that is this.....back in the day day like doc and shroud days each match could sapn around 45 mins or more deppending. Now all the matches barely reach 30 mins. I get staying realitive.....but come on prime example Rondo is a hugeeee map, within the first 5 mins not even 95% of the map is unplayable. They need to add back in more circle phases imo. We got blue chips and comeback arenas, that is trash for how short the matches are now. You can get brought back in and land in a tiny cricle only to find no loot and just to die again. There needs to be some sort of give there honestly. The circles move too fast or do too much damage....lets not forget the ALL time MVP across all 7 years is......circle. tell me im wrong. I know its purpose but come on how can we have meaningful firefights and tactical movements if we just end up dieing to blue zone for no reason. I have been playing since beta, i still love it and play it regularly but the inconsistency with this game and all of its cons and cheaters.....makes it really hard to wana play all the time. Oh and lets not forget their RNG loot box tables for skins that are actually good........if i could straight up buy the skins i would, but to say if you maybe drop a grand and have %.5 chance of getting a decent skin ......that dev should be fired. Sorry for the rant average! Lol
My download is almost complete after being away since it was in beta. Played after launch and loved it until the Chinese company ruined it. Heard good things so far and I know Koreans love their games. Hearing Unreal Engine 5 will be part of this as well. Definitely going to give it a go.

I have played only PUBG Mobile. I got a laptop a few months ago. I have had PUBG installed for awhile, but I haven't tried it yet. I feel like just playing it today.
Came for the game, left because of the cheating….PUBG actually encouraging cheating, nothing has changed in 6 years, if anything the cheating has increased. While I miss the game play, I don’t miss being chased by cheaters across entire maps, team players in solo match using wall hacks and aim bots. I actually wish I had never come across this mistake of a game company.
I wish they would rotate the map in casual once a month so it's not always erangel. also i prefer FPP despite liking seeing my character skins lol because TPP is abused by people to check around corners and above obstacles without showing their hitbox and it's just boringly OP for campers. also i wish they would not remove some maps and keep them all live, even if we still can't pick. I hate that no matter when I play the game, I can't play on all maps I like because every time they add maps they remove others. and yeah, cheaters are a big problem. i don't take skill level seriously i just have fun developing my irl personal character instead of game skill. no interest in esports whatsoever.
Only game I played for years. One con that started to push me away is how long each game takes vs the other BRs. It used to be a pro for me but after years and years it took its toll ha. Pro: there is no other game that gives you the rush that the end game provides here. Very unique
I've tried all the other BRs but PUBG is the only one I like. I've also been playing since 2017. I have a love/hate relationship with it due to the awesome gun mechanics and the constant cheaters. But for all the warts the game has, it's still just loads of fun. Doesn't matter how many Chicken Dinners I get, it still leaves me with an adrenaline rush at the end of the match.
every gamer is deciding for himself what to do with his time, unfortunately krafton does not do anything with cheaters, if they ban a paying player they only ban them for 1 day
The game used to be great but over the last few years seems like most of the opposition is bots so cant play it anymore. Is they a way to play without bots
Nice video dude. I almost agree about everything that you said in this video, however I disagree about lots of maps. I don`t like it. We have so many maps and it's difficult to enjoy one of them as we enjoy Miramar and Erangel, because we played so many times at these 2 maps. In my opinion Pubg should have by 4 maps at pubg's rotation at the same time and never take miramar and erangel out.

The player movement mechanics in PUBG mobile are just ridiculously unrealistic compared to PC and console. Instant sprinting and direction changes with zero inertia. It's a critical part of the gameplay the higher your rank.
Ummm pub felt the exact same when i came back also I feel like first person players don't like how campy it gets in third person gameplay like most of the time it's people camping a doorway or corner where they have one way vision on when you are coming up
Absolutely not worth it. The game is extremely outdated compared to others. The only players still on it are all the sweats or bots. The learning curve is huge. And there is no progression or satisfaction to keep you coming back to play.

You say outdated, I say classic. I’ve been playing since console release and don’t consider myself sweaty, I’m not good enough, and spend most games playing with buddies having a laugh and dicking about. The learning curve is kinda steep but you can play casual against mostly bots to learn and as for progression, off you pop to COD with the rest of the twitchers to unlock your shiny cammo.
