Thank you for your thoughts. Honestly? I got so worked up on that one thread it kind of spoiled the first draft of the video. One person claimed all they saw that was new “was a river” and another that the game was a Scam. Never mind the dev’s response simply was to make them aware the update had happened. There’s a lot of stuff to not like, but to me the scales are tipped a bit too unfairly against the game. There are tons of other games to play, and promising games to look forward to rn like dwarf fortress steam edition and WH3 (hopefully more leaks for my channel 😈)!

100%! I didn’t want to get into it for the final video, but my full take was that the devs do seem a little slow and to overbalance the mechanics, but most of that review’s thread was like… borderline slander. If you don’t like the game that’s one thing, but just making stuff up to harp on is another. Kind of reminds me of bannerlord where I feel people over exaggerate for and against the game, and the actual quality is somewhere in between…

I think I’m too much a sucker for the aesthetic of City of Gold. The whole kind of Italian-merchant prince thing kinda did it for me :P that’s a fair point, but to be completely honest I never beat the troll….yeah….

Certain weapons have different RNG for dropping pelts, I know blunt is very high because of my current play-through. I think spears are bad, I don’t remember if there’s a bolt type that’s better at getting pelts

@@DeadEndGoose So weapons with piercing and blunt damage are more likely to give fur that is why he used spears, but in this version 0.7.00 the wolves do not give fur (I say now they appear in packs of three and none gave fur)

Oh yeah that’s wild. The only pelts I’ve gotten this week were fox pelts from… poacher bandits? I guess. Haven’t had as much time to play so I haven’t noticed

I usually just use verren to go between towns, and any delves that spawn upwards of 5 squares away are HIGHLY irritating. I hated how this game seemed to not respect the players time, but with save & exit it’s much more bearable for me. I guess, it’s like, I agree with you but I also enjoy games like Warband, to me this is a pretty fun sandbox, and I got my money’s worth. Also the update rate isn’t amazing but it’s doing better than my cube world purchase XD

You need Cheat engine. Bust speed game in Cheat engine.

Yeah, it's something I need to get in the habit of doing when I'm making videos. That and cheat engine, need to try it for speeding up walking segments
