I will have to get Jade and Ruan Mei. I like ipc a lot. And I need erudition characters. And I need Ruan Mei for dot teams and, again, for pure fiction. And, like, for all of that break characters, by which I only mean Firefly on her rerun and Xueyi.
I'd say Firefly because later on you kinda need all elemental type even if you're not breaking the enemies. 40-60% elemental dmg res on the enemies is pain in the ass
After seeing gameplay with firefly I’m not going to say she’s better than boothill because they both perform about the same boothill exceeds on second phase and firefly exceeds on first so it’s basically if you like single target or aoe
I think the uploader is a kind of biased on FF and I get it. I also picked Boothill because he's fun and versatile. Once he mentioned Flames Afar and Secret Vow light cones, I knew he's just saying what he wanna say. 😂
That showcase I believe was the Aventurine boss no? A boss that has resistance to fire and is innately weak to phys and is on solo enemy. And the diff is that FF took 1 cycle and possible to 0 cycle VS a ST boss is quite better than Boothill imo.

You recommended wrong LC's. Firefly does not benefit from dmg bonuses because unlike other dps who scales with crit, firefly deals dmg through break and break dmg does not rely on dmg bonuses. Firefly only needs LC that gives plenty of atk and BE so the herta LC is a really good alternative if you don't have her LC and also the misha lightcone if you have it at S5.
firefly actualy cant really use flame's afar lightcone because she need's a Lot of atk break effect and speed and yeah i know im talking about leaks right now but her gameplay is everywhere there are a LOT of firefly gameplay videos from the private servers and she has one of the best f2p choices that is Fall on Aeon lightcone because it gives a lot of Atk *in case you didnt know firefly can turn atack into break effect and buff's herself when she exeeds a vertain amount of break effect so her signature lc > Misha lc > herta shop lc)
Agree with this it's a wrong info to be spreading since bonus dmg does not affect break dmg at all. Only herta LC and Indelible promise are the alternative ones for firefly.
I have been saving for Firefly since the second banner of 2.2 but then they say there is Ruan mai on the same banner as Firefly??? I'm dead I need them both.
Since I just tried and failed in getting Fu Xuan's LC I'm now pretty much broke. I really like Argenti but couldn't get him on his first Banner and I also REALLY like Firefly. So I kinda have no choice but to skip Ruan Mei.
Ruan Mei 1st phase is PAIN. Why couldn't she be later man. Anyway I will get my rematch, she is the only character I lost to and then had to skip. Any other losses I made up in the same banner except for her
guys this vid is fax but flames afar and other dmg percent lightcones for firefly aren’t very good options unless you’re strictly running crit firefly (even tho that playstyle got gutted in the last beta)

"Flames afar" and "a secret vow" don't help her at all because break damage does not scale with dmg%, the other options for her outside her signature lightcone are "the fall of an aeon" (herta lc) or "indelible promise" (the 4 star lightcone that has misha's picture).
I chose to go for Boothill because cyborg cowboy is such a cool concept and then maybe try for Ruan Mei for a better support and I will be doing pretty good.
Not really interested in Firefly or Jade, and I have my boy Argenti already Boothill is enough for my break needs. 1:23 instantly stopped taking this vid seriously when you said she had higher damage. In aoe? Yes. In single target? No
I was lowkey hoping that ruan mei wasnt going to appear since i was planning on getting her after firefly but having to choose feels really rough. I'll probably just flip a coin on it.
Ruan Mei would be the better option as she’s a more versatile unit in terms of team comps. Best team for Firefly would be Harmony MC, Gallagher, & Ruan Mei.
I skipped RM the first time she dropped because I was saving for other characters but I can’t skip this time. She just has too much value and my account needs premium supports so bad rn. 😂
You should really post a corrected video that doesn't encourage people to waste their resources leveling up an LC that's worthless on Firefly (Flames Afar).
Jade won't work w/ a hyper carry team comp as her ability doesn't benefit her. She is more on the side of dual dps comp because you would rather want a AOE team mate that could proc her passive to trigger her FUA.
This is the easiest patch for me, i already have Ruan Mei so i can skip everyone else and save my jades to pull Jiaoqiu for my Acheron.... unless Ratio reruns on Yunli's half in the next patch, then i'll have to make some sacrifices.
No no no do not use flames afar the hp gain is not worth it use fall of an aeon or Misha LC or like any other destruction Light cone, flames afar does nothing for her damage at all, at least a lot of others get attack which goes into her BE
Im definitely going for Jade and her lightcone without a doubt. Im interested in her hyper carry and sub dps teams. She seems pretty flexible. Plus, my man, Argenti, and Jade could go crazy in pure fiction together.
I originally planned on pulling for Ruan meis sig until I saw memories of the past was on the lightcone banner, so I’m gonna pull firefly and her lightcone, and for memories of the past superimpositions and maybe go for firefly’s e1/e2
Should I pull for firefly or ruan Mei I am at 55 pity guaranteed I also have 78 warps but the only dps I have is Seele and Acheron and both of them don’t need ruan Mei so who should I pull for?
I'd say still kinda worth it. If you would liked to get Boothil on his rerun or build Xueiy, or go into super break teams, Ruan is still gonna have a top priority. She will also prob be better for Firefly than Robin or Bronya, since she is break oriented. Although, for multiple dps comps, like follow-ups, she is worse than Robin in my opinion. And she is also insanely valiable in dot teams. So, yeah. There is a point. I personally will get her for pure fiction Herta team and my dot team.
It depends on the teams you have. Follow-up teams would probably prefer Robin, but if you want to take advantage of super break or dot teams, Ruan Mei would definitely be worth it.
they all have diff functions so yes, robin works with fua and mostly crit value based similar with bronya while ruan mei is universal and can be used with literally anyone
Im planning to get FF I already have RM (e0s0). I don’t really care about erudition right now so Argenti and Jade are skips. I do have Himeko but her damage really falls off outside of pure fiction for me.

Tbh i might just skip this patch, i have boothill and his lc and dont really feel like getting ff. I might get jade as a blade subdps, but im more exited for jiaoqiu as an acheron support/general debuffer. And i already have argenti (+lc) and ruan mei so i dont need them.
0:50 L take Alice angel clears them all and it's not even close they can't even step on her finger and even if they do they will will be 💀 in the matter of 2 seconds
Hello! Relatively new player here who didn’t start getting serious until recently. I have E1 Bronya, Sparkle, and Fu Xuan. No other 5 star dps aside from dr ratio. QQ has been carrying me but as you said I get tired with the skill point gacha 😂 Wanting to build my account more, which of these three would you recommend to pull?
Ruan Mei is always a good choice. She synergizes really well with... pretty much any team, even mono-quantum. If you want a dps, Firefly would probably be better than Argenti, both due to fire weakness implant and because she doesn't care about crit stats, instead converting break effect into attack
I really need a second team for moc(my goal was break team, so I was hoping Ruan mei was in the second half, now I dont know what Im gonna do, I still need to farm 160 pulls to get both FF and Ruan mei, maybe I go for Ruan mei and build Xuey idk if shes solid in the moc, and then get jiaoqiu for my acheron

im new to the game who around lvl 40, who should i go for? Firefly or ruan mei? my current units rn are, dr ratio, welt, bronya and fu xuan? im also guaranteed so idrk who to go for since both are good
Ruan mei for future proofing, since harmony units are more flexible then dps units. We’ll eventually get more super break dps as the game goes on and having premium support option will be great. Outside of super break, she’s just universally flexible in most teams, in fua teams, in dot teams and in some hyper carry teams that don’t like bronya.
Saying that QQ is getting replaced by Jade is just straight up wrong. QQ is a true hypercarry, and even if you can use her as one, Jade's numbers will only be a fraction of hers
if your fua team is the standard team( aventurine, topaz, ratio, robin) jade isn't worth it, you can use her if you really need a good blade/herta supporter in pf
Short answer: yes Long answer (includes a bit of leaks): Firefly has 50% break efficiency herself, so RM's break efficiency is only going to increase her super break damage by 33.3%. Her ult is a 25% damage increase on fire weak enemies, and she can extend break duration by a bit. That might sound like a lot, but it's not really game changing amount of damage increase. Asta can be a close replacement in this team granting Firefly atk (converted to BE), spd to everyone and deals decent break damage with skill. Firefly also implants fire weakness, so Asta will always get 2 stacks with basic. If you have sw, she can also be a decent break sub dps and debuffer. If we get any break focused supports or def/res debuffers in future, they can easily provide similar or even better damage increase.
RM is definitely better then e0s1 FF. If you have the destruction Herta lc you can basically almost get FF lc buffs from just that. RM is better without a doubt.
@@xenoemblem7 yeah but I need her to be broken not just good :( dirty move putting firefly and ruan mei together in the first half , if i couldn't get mei I will have to wait 5 patches for a second rerun , i don't like her design that match but i think break will be meta and I also don't have a fire dps , long story short I can't 36 star the MOC next patch
Ff is just amazing. She synergizes well with gallaghar and the future fire nihility character and her comp consists of rm and hmc, one being a universal support every one should have and the other being a free unit. Ff hmc rm galla and you got yourself the strongest break team and second strongest sustain team in game. No1 being ratio fua which is just a full limited character lineup.
