You did a fine job covering the time differences between the two but what about initial equipment cost and consumables cost per t-shirt?

White toner cracks soon. I have both white toner and DTF. Not using white tonner anymore.

Hi. Thanks for simple demo instructions. I’ll look into it. Just progressing from htv to screen printing. How many washes with mix clothing does this last? Great quality is my number one priority.

Essa técnica deixou de compensar. basta comparar os gastos de uma impressora DTF e deu uma impressora a laser.

Informative video. Thanks. How many washes can a shirt handle before it fades or rips with both processes?
@HeatPressNation
@HeatPressNation 3 месяца назад
That depends on what materials you're using, your transfer process, and how the garments are laundered. But in general, a good DTF transfer will last 50 to 75+ washes before cracking and showing major signs of wear. A white toner transfer with basic rasterization effect applied will last around 30-40 washes, while heavy rasterization can boost that all the way up to DTF territory. An unprocessed White Toner transfer will last anywhere from 6-12 washes before cracking. I find that the DTF feels papery, is that the case with white toner?

I wouldn't encourage white toner. At face value it looks nice but it doesn't last and the white toner has big issues for the end user. I know multiple people who threw the machines away because the maintenance wasn't worth it. If you want to do dtf then do dtf, not this at home stuff.

When is it better to use a white toner vs DTF and vice a versa
@HeatPressNation
@HeatPressNation 3 месяца назад
That's a great question! The answer depends on what lines up best with your business. White Toner is going to be great for businesses that need full-color transfers fast, don't want to worry about daily use or maintenance, also want to customize hard surface products, don't have the space needed for a DTF setup. Those are the main factors, but there are others as well - too many to fit in this reply. DTF is great for businesses that also want to do full-color transfers, but are looking for a more durable finished product without the need to process every print in the RIP software. DTF is also great for printing custom transfers as a service, where you're shipping the prints, not necessarily complete t-shirts and garments. Again, there are more factors for DTF too. We have weekly classes going in-depth on White Toner and DTF. If you want to learn more about either/both, be sure to book your spot at heat.press/class

For most of our White Toner content, including this video, we are using FOREVER Laser Dark - https:/heat.press/fld8511. Additional sizes available at heatpressnation.com.

is it softer than a dtf?
@HeatPressNation
@HeatPressNation 3 месяца назад
It could be - that would depend on how you process the print in the RIP software. In this case, we sent our graphic straight to print with no processing. So if we were to compare this print directly with a DTF version, the DTF print would be slightly softer and more durable. However, with a rasterization effect applied, this print would be softer and equally durable.
