Should You Visit Sand Bay (ft Sand Point)?

In this weeks vlog I visit Sand Bay near Weston-super-Mare, I take the open top Weston Coaster Bus (1 - Sand Bay) to head to the quiet beach. Once there I wander along the dunes towards Sand Point owned by the National Trust and we come across the confused holiday park - is it Pontins or is it Sand Bay Holiday Village (it's the later officially).
The Weston Coaster is charged as a standard bus so would be subject to the usual First Charges (£4 round trip on a First West of England 2-trip ticket.)

Nice video. I went to Sand Point twice and there is a very nice beach called "middle hope", you will need to walk that other way though but worth seeihg for the views and stunning beach. Keep up the great work. 👍

Thank you so much for sharing the info about middle hope, I saw the sign but wasn't sure where it went or how long it would take. Now I have a reason to go back! 😃

Hello Jesse, A very nice video and a pleasant and calm looking beach! Very cool and interesting this convertible bus, in the summer months there is also a convertible bus here in the state capital GRAZ, but since we are a landlocked country, of course without a view of the sea, haha! Your videos are very informative and shot with commitment, but sometimes it's difficult for me, who doesn't speak English as a native language, to keep up with you. It's a very calm and quiet beach, very different from the neighbouring Weston-super-Mare!

@@christophgrail There's lots of parks and spaces in the Bristol area and they can be quiet if timed right but need to venture further afield into places like Somerset for some really peaceful spaces 🙂

Thanks Paul, it hadn't even crossed my mind we would be passing Birnbeck at a higher point than I usually see it - couldn't resist leaving a longer shot of it in! I think its quietness is a large part of its appeal, could so easily read a book there and not be disturbed by a rogue ball 😁

Oh nice! I have never been to Sand Bay! You had some brilliant views from the open topper bus. I love the look of the beach. So rustic and natural! Looks like a really nice area to relax. I like your idea of taking a book to read there. Fab recaps the end too, when you help people decide whether to visit. Lovley birdsong in this. Video too.

Thanks Louise, it literally turned up as I got there - almost sat on the wrong side for the sea views! It's a very unspoilt beach though has very limited public transport (same as Brean 🤣)

My favorite place! I take the dog here a lot. So much quieter than Weston Beach . It's a shame the end car park is now pay by phone only

Totally agree, so much quieter than Weston. I think a lot of the parking meters are accepting phone payments as more and more people stop using cash. But I didn't realise it didn't actually accept cash....
