Nicknamed the "Golden Rock" because of its history as a free port in the Caribbean and all the riches that passed through its port, St. Eustatius today is more than the sleepy little island most portray it to be. You can definitely do some relaxing but you can also hike a dormant volcano, enjoy great food and wine, explore historic monuments, relax on black sand beaches, discover an amazing underwater world, and stay at great accommodations, from budget-friendly and locally owned B and B's to a luxury resort and everything in between.
