The iPhone 16 variants are set to ship in the fall of 2024.
Size Upgrades:
The Pro line will get a size increase:
iPhone 16 Pro measures 6.3 inches.
iPhone 16 Pro Max measures 6.9 inches.
The regular iPhone 16 will be the same size as the iPhone 15 variants.
Design and Buttons: Both regular and Pro models will get modest design changes.A new Capture Button will be available for taking images and movies.The Action Button, which was previously confined to the iPhone 15 Pro models, will now be accessible on all four iPhone 16 models.
Camera Improvements:- The iPhone 16 models will have a vertical camera lens layout (as opposed to the diagonal setup).
This angle is expected to enable Spatial Video Capture for the Vision Pro headset.The Tetraprism 5x optical zoom lens may be available for both the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max variants.
Performance and CPUs: Apple is developing new A-series CPUs for the iPhone 16 family, based on the newest N3E 3-nanometer process.
Expect improvements in efficiency and performance, however specifics have yet to be published.
Other features include Wi-Fi 7 compatibility and a USB Type-C connection.
Increased battery life through 40W wired charging and 20W MagSafe charging2.
