Thanks so much Dave, your lessons are among the clearest and most practical on RU-vid; gonna give this one a go and, whenever/if you can, a lesson on Wild Blue would be awesome. Take care!
Brilliant! As usual you have provided the best and most thorough tutorial of this fantastic new Mayer song. Watching John play this live I can see that you have nailed this and the only instructor who has really got it right and put the time in to show us all the details. Everyone else is just just teaching the capo 4th fret easy version and nowhere as detailed as you do it. I knew you wouldn’t let us down Dave - you are the man!
Hello, you are one of the best teacher here in youtube. I don’t have money to enroll for guitar lessons. I’ve only learned from free tutorials. I’m glad youtube exists. You are one of my favorite teacher. First song i’ve played is dust in the wind and i learned it from you. Im not so good but i can play. Thank you very much. If you have time. i hope you make tutorial river flows in you by Yiruma. Have a great day and stay safe always!
Hi! I would like to thank you for all the great lessons. The way you teach is the best. Do you have a lesson planned for John Mayer - Perfectly Lonely?
Brilliant lesson as always, thanks! John’s an amazing guitarist, just a thought though....did he write the song with the open chord sequence and then embellish it?
Maybe if Someone Came up with a buck or two, buy Dave's book, something, eh? This equipment and the whole production takes Time and $$$$$s, at least Your request is On Topic. Cool, but there are Sooo many dumb requests, it Ruins my reading for tips, yes? Some have NO interest in John Mayer, obviously. idunno WHY they are Here? "Harper Valley PTAck"
My Love TO India from Ontario. I JUST realized that 'Indian women' are Suddenly So sexy, tho i have Not found a whole Lot on Microhard 'Image' pages of Models etc. I DO think that 'They' always were 'sexy' (a wee bit o Bias?) Heck, |You people Did write, Kama Sutra, yeah.
Another Fab lesson from Dave, your email newsletter turned me towards John Mayer, who I ignored since 'Body is a Wonderland', sometimes I play 'Sob Rock' all day or all nite. Thanks for the Tip off!! I really don't believe it is possible to DO this Better than you. At great time and Expense, yeah? It's Real annoying to me when i look thru the comments Lookin' for good Tips, only to find Sooo many ''Doh" requests for 'Ridiculous' songs. They just Don't understand the time and expense you take to do Every lesson, i suppose? Tonite was the Jackpot Loser Request!! Really, ''Harper Valley PTA'' yuck, 60 yrs ago
I just broke down and chipped in 50 bucks, Mainly because you 'tipped' me to J Mayer, Then i found This great lesson too! My current fave from his newest. So cool: "You shoulda been Sad, instead of bein' So Fuckin' Mean" what a line, yeah. I Challenge All commenters Esp. the ones That have brutal Requests, to Match my effort. Then, Maybe you Get |?
For the Aadd9 I have to use my middle finger on the B string along with my index on the D string. When I'm set up like this my index naturally mutes the high E string. Very important to mute both E strings on that cord. For me, barring that Aadd9 is like trying to bar the B major with my ring finger; its misfretted or buzzing. Hope that helps someone!
Yup what Hein said :) (But it's basically him barring the 9th fret with his index finger on the 5th, 4th, 3rd and 2nd strings. On the first down strum he hammers on his ring to the 11th fret (G#) of the 5th string and keeps the open 6th string ringing as the bass note. :) )
Hey Dave! Could you possibly do a tutorial for Grow by Willow ft. Avril Lavigne & Travis Barker on electric? I love your tutorials and would love to see your take on this new song! Please and thank you!
Hey Dave !!.. amazing tutorial... Have request, Could you please do a tutorial on COME TO ME by GOO GOO DOLLS!!!.. please I need tutorial on this song!!!..need to play this song for my special someone ❤️!!....kind request!!... appreciate all your efforts..love your tutorials.
This might be a bit out of character music wise, but would it be possible to show a tutorial on lead parts for Harper Valley PTA by Jeannie C. Riley? I"m not so worried about the sound, as I know its a dobro or something, as I may be able to get close with the katana amp and lead guitar. But I sincerely would appreciate it.
I went to buy a pick for myself after losing the ones that came with the guitar itself and I got so confused that I didn't buy one and am strumming with my thumb for now. Can you please tell me the pick you are using the thickness and stuff I have no idea about anything and learned guitar from you. Please help
