What's really impressive about KITTs really quick engine and amazing computer system is they only take up about a quarter of the engine bay. The rest of the space is taken up by the rope for the really long winch ;)

I love how they just didn't bother at all to cover up the fact that they put an outer covering on KITT to protect the car from the pyrotechnics, and even did a close up of it! xD

HD TV didn't exist in the 80's they could do tons of stuff back then. If you watch old A Team reruns now you will be amazed at how many times the stunt doubles are completely visible

The front of the hovercraft has the look of a Mustang. That grappling hook is amazing. With no targeting the winch spools out freely and it hooks a little bit of cord on the hovercraft. And the Hoff doesn't quite know how to pose as the cops arrive. "Stand still, David. No. Not that way. Now don't move..... aaaand Cut."

I love how he gets out of his bulletproof car as the hovercraft is winched back to shore. Those villains were so polite not to mow him down with the hovercraft's giant .50 caliber machine guns pointed directly at him.

First!! I'm assuming that the van/hovercraft ran out of rockets or bullets. They could have easily shot at Michael when he left the comfort and security of K.I.T.T.

of course. KITT scan's all the weapons numbers and if it can damage his molecular bonded shell and would have told Micheal if the rockets would hurt him and would have told Michael there is more rockets left.

The hovercraft probably could have been pushed around, before it reached the water. Does KITT have some sort of raft popping laser, or something? A cushion of air doesn't offer that much resistance. The only thing the hovercraft has going for it, is momentum & mass. It wasn't a big hovercraft. You don't stop a hovercraft, by driving circles around it at high speed.

At this point KITT doesn't have the Molecular Bonded Shell, SPM was suppose to make up for it in Knight of the Juggernaut and its never specifically mentioned after that, a big oversight given how KITT takes the hits here.
