Leeann Monique Whether not my "opinion" matters or whether it doesn't, I have as much right to express it as you do yours. If you want to post foolishness, prepare to have it challenged. That is what RU-vid is about...the freedom to express ones beliefs, no matter how unpopular it is. So, I really don't "worry" about how anyone praises the "lord." But I can, and will, express what scripture says (not so much my "opinion") when and where I desire to. Thanks for your comment
Dee Jay Well, the Bible does say praise the Lord with dancing (look it up in Psalm, I'll wait...). And you don't know these people, so how do you really know if they "cheat their employers" or "curse people out?" We all sin. That doesn't make our praise any less genuine. What is "buck dancing" anyway?
Deleal Gladney Thank you for your question Deleal, and I hope that you didn't have to "wait" too long. First of all, I didn't have to look up Psalms where it talks about praising the Lord in a dance (I'm assuming you didn't know the exact chapter and verses, so I'll just tell you where...Psalm 149:3, and Psalm 150:4, just so you know), I already know. I could write several paragraphs on what I know about the practice of buck dancing in churches, and it would be a total waste of time for me, and for you as well, since I know for a fact that you aren't asking these questions for knowledge and understanding, you're asking them with a sarcastic and facetious tone, kind of like when the Pharisees asked Jesus questions only to try to mock Him. I've written many comments on this emotional and fleshly practice known by many as "dancing in the spirit," and I'm going to choose not to repeat myself needlessly here. I CAN tell you that I've practiced buck dancing in churches for well over 25 years before my eyes were opened to this mess, and I can tell you many many stories of people who buck danced on Sundays, and lived like the devil throughout the week. I really don't need to "know these people" in order to know that all of their emotional and fleshly dancing does not give God any praise. I don't need to "know these people" to know that every single one of them are not any more holy and righteous BECAUSE they buck dance in church. THAT I know for a fact. Jesus said that the flesh doesn't profit anything. A fancy dance step is not what the spirit of God makes us do, it causes us to display the fruit of the spirit, which one of them is self control. Buck dancing doesn't change hearts, its only purpose is not unlike dancing in a disco or a night club, it stimulates the flesh. As to whether or not it makes your "praise any less genuine," I'm sure you know that a person can be genuine in all that he or she does, even if they are in error. That's all I'll say about that. And finally, you ask "what is buck dancing anyway"? In this age of the internet, and the well-known search engine (One of many) known as Google, I'm surprised that you couldn't just do a search and find out what "buck dancing" is. I realize that you very well MAY know what it is, and are just, once again, trying to be sarcastic, but I'll bite. "Buck dancing" is pretty much what black slaves used to do for their white masters. This is the very reason why I call all this behavior in this video "buck dancing." It pretty much is the same thing. Thanks so much for your response, and your questions.
The world goes to the club and dance til they sweat their clothes out. but when the people of God dance, we are laughed at called crazy and so on. I don't care what the world says about me.. I am going to get my praise on !!!! love the video
i tell my saints that every time yall can look at me like im crazy but i am when it come to God......you dont know where he brought me from......they dont know the healing that he can do
That dance in the beginning! I love watching it. Praise him from whom all blessings flow. Sing, dance, shout his name and hold your hands up high to the heavens!!!
I think when “real” church folk laugh, it’s a joyous one, following by a “they gettin’ it in”. I cried through this whole video just imaging what they are shouting about, what the release was, what the private conversation with God is during this time. Thanks for this!!!
3:47 yeessssss!!! That what old church folk call that a "Quicknin'" back in to the dance come on Praise him brotha!!!! Yall better blessHIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Amen I get my praise on because Jesus has been so good to me. I was in a apt fire 3:years ago and almost got burn alive. I am here by his Grace. Yes I get my praise on they laugh and talk about me but they don't know my story and how I made it through and I am disabled. Praise the Lord for all his blessing. God didn't have to do it but he did. People don't take nothing for granted. Our air we breathe belongs to God. Material things mean nothing. Takes a life time to build what you worked for and it takes seconds to loose it. Naked you came in this world Naked you going to leave. Merry Christmas everyone.
Use your talents that God has given you and use them back to glorify his name amen I play the piano started learning some gospel stuff to praise Jesus's name hallelujah.
To my degree of understanding, this should answer your question :: The musical part is taught and used when the presence of God is very heavy in the atmosphere. The dancing is considered a high degree of worship. Some people begin to shout and dance without music, but the music complements this form of worship. If the musicians are worshiping as well, moments like these are heightened and sometimes go on for a very long time. So yes it is taught, inspired and a form of worship.
shouting wasn't taught at my church, but if it was at yours, praise the Lord how you see fit. He blesses either way. luv this vid! church music be bumpin anyway, might as well dance it out

My Goodness, what's up with the negatives...We're enjoying a creation someone who is given a gift to share,,, and out comes all of the armchair preachers... Relax yourselves...We somehow always seem to be so quick to point out the fault, and flaws rather than LISTEN to what is actually being presented here.. Thank you Musiq City Walls, Don't feed into the drama keep up the good work
