Looks like Ernie was having a hard time to keep from bursting out in laughter after the little joke with Jim. lol that's cute. And I love this song...thanks again, herecalico, for posting all these oldies. I've been enjoying Ernie in the new lineup of the Kingsmen, with Bob Sellers and Randy Crawford, along with Ernie and Ray Reese. They sound really good together, and Ernie is as good as ever!
I wouldn't be surprised, if Ol' Jim was a'waitin' at the Pearly Gates, waitin' on his little buddy, Ernie Phillips...so he could not only re-unite with him, but pick on him some more!😆🤣😆
I'm so glad that Jesus saved my soul That I want to tell it ere I go How He rescued me from life's angry sea I'm so glad to know He's in control Oh I'm so glad that Jesus saved my soul Get His sweetest peace (peace) within I must tell it everywhere I go How He rescued me from sin We must be ready for He's coming back some day To take His waiting bride back home with Him to stay Friend oh won't you come to Him today He will wash your blackest sin away You can come along and sing with us this song He your soul will save Oh sometimes it makes me want to shout And I have to tell the world about Grace so rich and free that has come to me I'm so glad there's not a single doubt Oh I'm so glad that Jesus saved my soul Get His sweetest peace (peace) within I must tell it everywhere I go How He rescued me from sin We must be ready for He's coming back some day to take His waiting bride back home with Him to stay Friend oh won't you come to Him today He will wash your blackest sin away You can come along and sing with us this song He your soul will save
Ol' Ernie didn't like being interrupted... not even if it was Jim Hamill! I know that it was all in good fun, but sometimes, Jim went too far with things...or, at least, that's the way it seems. Rest In Peace, Jim Hamill, and Ernie Phillips ✝️✝️✝️
