+Lulink I actually found this stage to be easier with the momentum mail, but on new game + I ended up avoiding it in fear of losing all the gold I had accumulated throughout the game

Jake Kaufman says this is his favorite piece he's composed for Shovel Knight (with Courage Under Fire right under). understandably so. this one's deep. makes you feel like you're trudging tirelessly through the thick of an endless snowstorm. real brutal, in a haunting kinda way. gets in your head, dont it? also beyond that, what is going on with Polar Knight in general...he's somehow more cold and guarded than Specter Knight. Old Man With A Lot Of Regrets™ maybe??
Lich Yard gives more of a cartoony Halloweenish vibe, "look there's spooky skeletons and ghosts oooooo" This gives the "you are going to perish in the snowstorm and your loved ones will never find your frozen corpse" vibe
I absolutely LOVE this track, and I loved the level too - although Polar Knight was easily my least favourite boss in the game. His attacks were so relentless it came across as a little cheap.
I think if this stage as the one that should be played last. This music just gives me that feeling, and the fact that polar knight was shovel knights ally also adds to it. Tinker and Propeller Knight's stages feel to wacky and fun to be a final. This one does.
I have no clue why but this whole stage in general didn't really leave an impression on me while ironically this stage's boss ACTUALLY KNOWS SHOVEL KNIGHT PERSONALLY! which makes his back story really interesting to me and kinda hints at an order of shovel Knights some where.

I had this damn theme on repeat for at least two days (give or take). Then i started getting ideas for drum patterns, as if i was thinking, "What would this song sound like with realistic instruments?" Next think you know, i fucking remixed this song. lolz...i had a lot of fun doing it, too. Jake Kaufman songs are fucking hard to dissect!!!
+Christopher Storvik I cant stand the explodatorium. The platforming was ok. Pretty normal, but it had some annoying enemies. I cannot stand the fucking exploding rats.
The Explodatorium is hard because it throws in a stage that should have been one of the later ones. But if you have the phase locket you can just bypass everything since theres magic potions every 2 steps.
For the Stage Music, this is definitely tied for my favorite with La Danse Macabre. As a Stage, somebody say it with me when I say, "FUCK THE STRANDED SHIP." And as for Polar Knight? I just didn't think he was very fun. But by far, this theme saves this stage.
I quite liked this level! Not too hard in my opinion -- certainly easier than the Iron Whale level, lol. This song is probably my fav in the game as well so far. Polar Knight was a pain though. Those insta-kill spikes tho. .-.
Trying to do a No Relics, No Checkpoints, No Deaths, No Buying anything run on normal. I can pass this stage unharmed but Polar Knight always rapes my ass. He is toooooooo hard without relics. 75% I get traped on top of him with the whole floor covered in spikes. BS
