I may like the 2020 versions to a degree but MAN they fr should've kept the metal, 90s comicbook aesthetic. It would've looked amazing with 2020's detailed animation.
Daimo's Game Share Nah I prefer the Toad Gear, you attack faster and can destroy enemies that have shields, plus an ability to sprint. It's superior for speed running.

...Man. The Battletoads event was amazing. I didn't expect it to be a full on show of going through various stages. Yacht Club Games did a wonderful job making the fight epic and a stage itself. ... I am, admittedly, laughing at Reize being a fan of Baz. It was a 'wait what?' moment for me. But... I can see it. He's naive and easily impressionable. Heh. Anyway, you did an awesome job with the playthrough.
AtticusRh0des It shouldn't seeing as how both Sony and MS asked for exclusive content into their version of the game. Sony used their IP which if God of War, MS used their IP which is Battletoads.

completely agree with you. Even though in Wii U there's much more content, plus the Amiibo... You can play Shovel Knight Multiplayer, that's more than great.
If memory serves in the first section if you go up against a wall, look away from it, and press attack you'll do the wrecking ball technique. You can bash everything you come across as you fling from one wall to the other.
Christian Schulz Yep. While I prefer the Kratos Armor, the battle here is a lot more fun here. Kratos' fight is still good though although I wish the 3DS and Wii U versions had you fight a Nintendo character...

BioDomeWithPaulyShor The devs did mention that they did want to add exclusive content to the earlier versions in a patch so the early adopters wouldn't feel cheated.
WildWolf21 I doubt fire emblem would get it since they'd probably go for another platforming title (plus FE wasn't in the west at that time and this game is mostly appealing to western audiences NES nostalgia)
y'know, even if i don't have too many gripes with the hand drawn stuff, i really wouldn't be against them making a Battletoads remake with these sprites instead
The Xbox version has a Battletoads boss fight The Playstation version has a Kratos boss fight The Nintendo (Wii U/3DS/Switch) version has only an Amiibo and no exclusive boss fights. I don't know what the PC version has.
I really love the all the love Yacht Club Games puts into these console exclusive boss fights, I can't wait to see what they do with the Nintendo exclusive boss fight.
@@DH2007able yeah it was a co-op mode and “custom knight” that was exclusive with the Amiibo, but no exclusive boss or anything like battletoads or Kratos
+Doяk It also allows you to customize Shovel Knight, and it also adds more relics into the game. And let's not forget the StreetPass Battle Arena in the 3DS version.
DAYUM i wasn't expecting that much from this! Its a whole level that plays like fucking Battletoads! I wouldn't pay the 15 dollars again just for this, and I'm happy with the Smash Bros. mode the Wii U version's gonna have, but if this ever becomes free with gold my friends and I are gonna beat this game all over again with HOLY SHIT THIS
I never played Battletoads back in the day so a lot of this is lost on me, but seeing Shovel Knight pose with them at the end there was awesome. lol I wonder what the Wii U/3DS versions are gonna get.
you know they had a blast developing this. My only grievance, unless I hadn't listened hard enough this first go around what with parents on the tube atm to hear that it was actually done, would be that Kaufman didn't make some dank remixes of the battletoads OST to use here. EDIT Yeah I just couldn't hear it well enough last night that main theme remix is fairly dank
***** now that I can go back and listen to it again carefully, yeah, I think there's definitely been some enhancements. I'm not super familiar with the original riding theme but that sounds like it was upped a little bit. and especially the theme in the last fight, yeah. I definitely just couldn't hear it well enough last night.
Best Asura ARAD Yeah, it combined the riding parts from the original Battletoads with the one from Double Dragon Battletoads. There was some remixing done toward the last half of the Descent stage too.
When I first saw that they added a Battletoads fight in the Xbox version of Shovel Knight, I kinda just went "ok then, cool." Then I saw the video. My reaction was "THEY ACTUALLY DID THAT?!" I wonder what they'll do for Wii U and 3DS.

Maybe somebody don't know but some of their taunts looks very similiar with Heidern's sprites from Metal Slug Defence (maybe this is reference but i knowed it recently).
Ugh, why can't Battletoads and Kratos be in all platforms?! I know it's restricted to either Xbox & Windows for one or PS for the other, but come on, it would've been cool to have both armors in one game!

Well, they did come in through a space warp, whether that allows them to travel to different universes I'm not sure, but I doubt they're gonna be meeting anytime soon!
You can't bounce the rats off the wall for bonuses? Would be cool if you could. Did that all the time to farm 1ups in the Genesis Battletoads when going through that level.
Ren True but seeing how their exclusives shoots the Nintendo's exclusive several times. Even though 3DS and Wii U owners had their copies almost a year ago, it just seems so disappointing/saddening that PS and XBONE owners got exclusive fights while they got Streetpass Arena and sending messages.
