I think the Announcer is the developer, since when the Cherry says "hey announcer, get some new material! we already heard these questions a million times!" and then the announcer says "hey its hard to write a bunch of questions!" I think this implies that the developers are having a hard time making the game.
A lot of people make certain characters to vent about certain issues. Sometimes even all of the issues! I know that myself, since a lot of my characters represent a certain… problem I’ve been having. To be honest it’s a pretty healthy way of conveying that they’re having a hard time. At least they’re making it comedic! :P

I honestly think of the cherries as twins who are conjoined at their stem, and each of them were given one leg since 1 body is supposed to have 2 legs only
Before i saw their cutscenes, i kinda thought they would be like lemon. They’d get scared and run in opposite directions, then bump back into eachother
I had an 8th cutscene in one Shovelware's Brain Game. Here are the dialogues. Cherry 1: Hey announcer, can you make those questions a little MORE wordy? Cherry 2: *says unknown words* Announcer: Oh, sorry! Are these questions a little too elaborate for you? How about "shut up"? Is that a concise enough statement for you? Cherry 1: To be concise, no. Both cherries: Ohohoho!
I imagine the announcer just looks like a microphone with legs. Y’know, to match the style they’re going for. Just having a full ass man on set when everybody else looks like I can hold them in my hands would be funny, but just a bit too much.
In the “ Trip to New Orleans “ prize, the announcer said he lives somewhere near there, and if you look to the very far left of the picture, you see a big microphone with the shovel ware face on it, so it is implied he is a microphone

You try it sometime!” which can be implying that the developers are having a hard time to make the game.
A common name for these two is the “double cherries” which made me think they would cause mischief by cloning the banana or something, because Mario double cherries. I guess this personality is cool too though.
i want to imagine the “you can’t tell that from there!” line ending with the dancing banana staring at the cherries like he wants to kick them out of the show
Question.. will we get a Pinnapple..? Or perhaps a pizza..? Maybe grapes even being an entire family. But their dialouge is kinda hard to make out. ...i would love some more prizes like the 3D hotdog. The announcer is so funny in this scene.
The dancing banana did say his history teacher (I think it was his history teacher) was the dancing pizza. Maybe the teacher says he's proud of the dancing banana or something like that, and DB feels kinda embarrassed by him
*Cherries sound good right about now..* Also there should be a bit where the cherries say something mean and then the audience gets mad at them and throws trash at the cherries or something
