Thanks for the great video. How would this be modified in order to only show cumulative historical values BEFORE the current month and then show forecasted values for the current month (projected full month) and future months? Thanks.

In Commulative Sales Measure replace the return statement with below - RETURN IF( SELECTEDVALUE(dim_Date[MonthNumber]) < _maxmonth, _cummulative ) and in the forecast replace the return statement with below- RETURN IF( SELECTEDVALUE(dim_Date[MonthNumber]) = _maxmonth-1, _cummulative, IF( SELECTEDVALUE(dim_Date[MonthNumber]) >= _maxmonth, DIVIDE(_cummulative, _maxmonth)* (SELECTEDVALUE(dim_Date[MonthNumber]) - _maxmonth) + _cummulative ) )

What is the difference between dim_date[Month] and dim_date[MonthNumber]? In my date table they are both numbers. It would be helpful to both see how your data looks and to see more of the screen so I can see how the visual is being created.

Can the same result be achieved if I already have a measure for cumulative daily sales plus a predefined forecast and separate measure to calculate cumulative daily forecast?
@PowerBIHelpline
@PowerBIHelpline 7 месяцев назад
Yes you can use that as well. you need to take care of the month selection in the slicer. it should show only for future months from the slicer month selection.

Thx for this nice input Was implementing your Solution. But it is Not Working with a Date Visual and a Date slicer filtering Over Few years 😢 u have a Hint?
@PowerBIHelpline
@PowerBIHelpline 8 месяцев назад
Calculating the correct cumulative value for each year is the hint . include VALUES(Date[Year]) inside your CALCCULATE().
