Thank you, Thank you, real men do cry and real men need help. Love to you for taking this seriously and letting the world know it's OK to ask for help. Much respect to Sir. absolutely appreciated this honest video. It is real. thank you.
Thank you brother! You have no idea how much that hits home with me! There's a lot that most people don't know about us all! I'm always here for ya and much love and respect my brother!!
Thanks brother I want you to know that I’m always here for you to , we all have demons we are fighting and we can’t do it alone . I really appreciate you and value your friendship . Love you brother and thank you
I can't begin to tell you how powerful your words have been. For those of us who suffer, and unfortunately in silence due to stigma and the fear of judgement. help is out there, its the hardest thing we can do to help ourselves. we are not alone, and there will always be a tomorrow no matter how bad today may be. Cheers
This is a wonderful challenge. I am not sure I could do what you just did. You allowed yourself to be vulnerable. This flys in the face of being a "Man" in the eyes of many. They say, "Man up", "Suck it up, princess", "Toughen up", "Don't be such a pussy", and "Get over it, sunshine"... This is outdated thinking, something left over from the '50s. On average there are 11 suicides in Canada per day. Out of these, 75 percent are men. Men need to understand that we are just as vulnerable as anyone else to mental health problems, maybe more so. Talking to someone is a critical step in improving our mental health. If you can't talk to a person, write yourself a letter and read it the next day. Tell your doctor how you feel. They have medications that can help. There is no shame in taking care of ourselves like we do our family. I appreciate what it took to make this video, Wyatt. Thank you for sharing this with us...
Thank you Ken . It wasn’t easy believe me . I was even ready for ridicule and shaming. I really wanted to show that it can be done we can be strong and show emotion and opening up and being honest was the best way to do that . As a society we need to band together and get those numbers down 11 lives lost is 11 to many . Thank you for the kind words Ken and I hope you are doing well my friend . I mean really doing well .
Great comment. And yes it's tough to make these videos. Honestly making mine I had to stop and take breaks cause it was rough talking about loosing friends to suicide.
Man... this is solid, wonderful words of wisdom. Kudos for speaking the truth at a time when we dont hear it enough. Great works sir, much appreciated!
Thank you Stanley . It not easy especially these days . So much going on in the world . We really do need to end this culture of suck it up .Thank you for the kind words and I hope you are doing well , I mean really doing well .
Men's mental awareness has always been a touchy subject for me. I've lost many good people to it. Some in horrific ways that I saw first hand. I look back to how many times I've shared my phone number publicly and have begged for anyone in need to just reach out to me no matter if we are friends or not and I would walk with them in their journey till they were out of the depths of hell. It always seems to fall on deaf ears because our generation was raised to "suck it up. One of the longest parts of going to school to become a certified Minister was learning how to help in these situations, yet again it falls on deaf ears. I tell everyone I have ever offered help to, "I will walk with you on your journey no matter how long it takes, but you have to realize that I'm just a aid in helping you to find what's within that truly needs repaired". Counciling is the best way for me to serve our creator. I haven't seen anyone ask so I will, How are you Wyatt? Are you good? Is there anything you need to get off your chest? You have all my contact information, please let me know how "Wyatt" is doing on the inside. I'm always here for you bud. I need you here. God bless and may the Light Brought Forth Today Forever Guide Your Path.
It that culture we need to change brother . Thank you for asking . I have my days but over all I’m doing well . I’ll be in touch soon my friend . You are an amazing person and I hope you are doing well brother . I know how much you care and try to help others I’ve seen it many time’s . Thank you for that and for always being a friend . Love you brother
@@tubbyguyoutdoors I'm counting on hearing from you. Your a true brother from another! I pray God brings you peace on those bad days and that he reminds you, that you've made it through every bad day thus far. Love you too bro!
Very well said Wyatt! This is a great challenge and one with a multitude of meaningful results. This is definitely a topic that needs to be addressed, especially in this changing world in which we are living in. The role of 'men' is constantly under attack and in question, and being looked upon in many negative manners. So many topics there, but the rate of fatherless children has brought about a generation of men without knowing what a man is supposed to be. A loss of perspective and a world of change occurs. Tying that into the world of distrust and excess, drugs and alcohol become escapes and only make the problems worse. Being able to have true friends, and other men that are honorable and can be there for one another is essential. I agree with having an interest or hobby that allows you to be yourself and to strengthen your own experience. Thanks for sharing.
Everyone has their happy place for sure. Just got to find it. For me, it is wherever I am having fun (fishing, pickleball court, etc.). It's difficult to help anyone if they aren't willing to accept help. People need to open up more cause keeping anything negative inside and trying to deal with it by themself is just difficult and sometimes can lead to the wrong path.
The hardest thing to do is admit you need help but that’s also the reason we need to change this culture of swallowing it down and not saying anything . You are never alone . Hope you have a great weekend bud
Mens Mental health is a big problem and often gets brushed off. I’ve lost a few mates to suicide that no one saw coming. Like you say mate, we all need to take time out for some fun stuff and check in on each other. Great vid Wyatt and great challenge. Life too short as if is, no one should end it sooner. Agree that we all need to find that inner peace & happy place. 😃👍
Thank you Mate . It does get brushed off far too often and finding that inner peace is key my friend . Thank you for all you have done and I hope you are well , and have that happy place and peace .
Awesome video man! Thanks for doing the challenge. I agree at finding that happy place. Since I was just a little Darren, the backwoods was always my safe happy place I called it. As an adult I just purchased better toys like my solo canoe to get me further back into my happy place. But having those true friends and family to listen now and then is always the biggest blessing. The hardest is to get those friends to admit to you they need help. I sure wish my buddy Tyler who I went to school with, lived with and even worked with for awhile would have said something cause getting that news he ended his life one night sure hit home about needing to end this stigma. Then to almost loose my best friend the same way, when I watched Haze Outdoors original show us your steak challenge, right away I said I'm in. Let's do this. My first one wasn't that great which I did while camping a few years back but after this whole pandemic crap, I figured it was time for another. Maybe I'll make it an annual video now.
one of the best videos i have ever seen , i hope your words will find a way to help and touch someones life . the dark places that we all keep hidden sometimes keep us from seeing the bright side . love you brother .
Thank you brother . To many good people lost . It’s time we end this culture of bottling it up . I truly appreciate you Wayne and hope you are doing well my friend .
This is awesome Wyatt. So many good words. I have seen too many young men lose the battle as well. Listen with intent and empathy. Love you, stay strong.
Good video. Money issues and relationships can take a toll . Went to school with one and worked with another that went past the point of no return. Worry about my kids . They both have certain issues . With things going the way they are in our country it’s going to add extra strain on people to take care of their families and help will be needed more usual. Have a good evening
Thanks John . Yes there’s a lot going on these days , it’s more important now than ever to take care of each other and reach out . Hope you are doing well .
@@tubbyguyoutdoors My oldest is bi-polar as hell with some other anger issue . Been bracing for the phone call for 16 years . Youngest is textbook autistic and can’t express himself. Hurts my heart to think about the demons he wrestles with
Well done Brother. This is a deep and serious issue. I have seen a lot of this. I don't tell this to many people but I worked for the RCMP for 17 years. Mens mental health is a serious issue. Thanks for sharing. Take care and have a good evening.
Thank you brother . It is a very serious issue especially when you get into the northern and more isolated community’s . Thanks for watching and hope you are well my friend
@@tubbyguyoutdoors I am well! My son my buddy scot and I are just grabbin a bite to eat at a&w then we are off on a five day camping and fishing trip!…. Boys trip!!! Hope you are well too my friend!
Great video, brother. The devil loves to get us isolated and speak lies to us. We were created for connection, connection with others and with the amazing God who made us. Thanks for speaking encouragement to those watching the video. Keep up the good work.
Your a Genuine dude !!! Gentleman !!! This hit home man ! I lost my brother wazzy a few months ago and been crutching it ! I didn’t talk to him for a month before he passed because he was being Belligerent ! Now I’m going thru the what if’s ?!?!? Half way thru this and just wanted to say this before I chickened out .. I’ll comment again at end ..
I’m sorry for your loss brother . You need to talk I’m here bro . What you can’t do is take yourself down , I’ve had to many what if moments and the truth is he probably would t have said anything that’s why getting these messages out and trying to beat this stagnant about opening up is so important. Love you bro . You’re a great guy and have been a great friend . Thank you
Thank you for sharing brother! This is all real stuff my dad lost way too many friends through high school and shortly after on the iron range sometimes you’d never expect it to be that person, I hope a lot of people share their own videos on it out and get it out there, thanks for being real I hope you helped somebody or a couple somebodies Wyatt best of luck to you
Thank you brother ! I hope to reach at least one person , this was the most difficult video I’ve ever made but also the most important. We all need help from time to time and we need to end this culture of bottling up everything . I hope you and your dad are doing well my friend . I appreciate you
It's unfortunate that men are pushed to the point of not feeling there's enough hours in a day to please family members, friends, coworkers and employers and end up to the point of doing what the topic you are talking about. Good job Wyatt. How ya doin brother eh?
It is very unfortunate Tom and very preventable, we just have to be willing to admit we need help . I’m doing well brother thank you , like all of us I have my days but all in all I’m well . I hope you are doing well also my friend
@@tubbyguyoutdoors you are very welcome brother. Yeah i'm doing good. Tired and wore out but doing good. Our grandson came over today to help me with the yard work tomorrow. Sucks getting old and having heart issues. How are you doing?

Jesus wept ,he wept for all of us .if there ever was a man that would have been him.as far as booze goes here's a line my grandma ones said to me .aperson that drinks every day is a alcoholic.that was many years back and I can still here these words loud and clear ,grandmas been gone for 25 years but these words are still with me and I took them one step further a person that thinks he needs alcohol involved in his or her life needs to get it out of their lives the sooner the better.
Outstanding video at Wyatt RU-vid took down my other comment with my phone number on it! And they won't let me post my email address on here either so please go to our channel and email me your phone number I would like to speak with you if it's all right with you God bless brother and we'll see you on the next one! Tony n Lee Ann
Thank you Tony ! I’ll gladly send you an email brother . If your concerned about me I promise you I’m doing well my friend . As a culture we need to change this idea that we are less of a man for sharing and showing emotions . My hope is this video helps at least one person reach out for help . Thank you brother truly
