Darkness is just a lack of light. Less light penetrates a fabric that is soaked in water. The fibers fill with water, becoming bigger, blocking more light. A red dress in an unlit room is dark. Makes sense and not that deep. But definitely something you don't think about, everyday and gives a sense of 'wonderment' over something so logical.
Dee: “You could be arguing with an 8 year old!” Me, a 16 year old: *having major flashbacks to arguing with grown men/women about Minecraft when I was 8*
Really liked this one! Great type of video to watch to get your mind thinking differently after a long workday, always great to think about that thought about your impact on a stranger too. Acts of kindness can really brighten things up!
Recite Ayatul Kursi before u go to sleep. As a Muslim it helps. U can say it in English. It is a verse in the Quran. You are welcome. Hope u have beautiful dreams.
The part of about history is wrong. The first historians weren't consciously recording events for posterity. What more than likely happened is that records of events were made for other more practical purposes - like making records of business transactions and making records of agreements between monarch's of different lands. Also, even before the advent of writing people would orally recount events they witnessed on travels to different lands and/or travelers would bring news of interesting events afar like war, plague, shocking crimes, new discoveries, etc. Then with the advent of writing, some saw an opportunity to record these events in writing and sell them to the wealthy. This would have been the birth of the news media. And these are the beginnings of written history. Written history is just yesterday's news. The people writing the events were not historians they were proto-journalists. And in later generations people were intrigued by these older records of past events and this interest eventually became more formalized with certain early academics specializing in this area and voila! They create this new field of study involving the analysis of past records of events and artifacts and they call it history. It's a field that came about retrospectively.
Because you're having fun. Remember the "Time flies by when you're having fun" saying as a kid? vs if you were depressed or mentally out-of-state life would feel long because you want it to end. (With that being said. Mental health is important and make sure you're doing the things you enjoy more than the things you do not.)
@@humblegrind8 She compared an adult to an 8 year old as a put-down. Well, that implicitly implies that being 8 years old is somehow undesirable or inferior. This is comparable to when a man tries to insult another man by saying he's gay. It tells you that the one doing the insulting is homophobic - you have to be to think that you're insulting someone by calling them gay.
